JCECE 2016 B.Sc. Agriculture

JCECE 2016 is a state level examination which is scheduled on June 12, 2016. It enables the candidates to seek admission in B.Sc. Agriculture in colleges across Jharkhand. The candidates must be a permanent or local resident of Jharkhand to participate in the examination. The JCECE Application Form shall be available April 16, 2016. The JCECE Application Process is carried out through both online and offline modes.

The JCECE Admit Card will be available on the official website from May 22, 2016. The JCECE Exam Center for B.Sc. Agriculture for the candidates applying in the PCMB and PCB group is Ranchi. The candidates applying for the PCM group are allocated centers as per their preference across Jharkhand. JCECE 2016 is a written examination with 50 objective type questions in each section for PCM group (Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics), PCB group (Physics,Chemistry and Biology) and PCMB group (Physics,Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology). The candidates have to mark the answers in the OMR Sheet. The JCECE Result will be declared in the 3rd week of June followed by the JCECE Counselling

JCECE 2016 Eligibility for B.Sc. Agriculture

The candidates must consider the JCECE eligibility for B.Sc. Agriculture and Forestry before beginning the JCECE Application Process. Ineligibility can lead to cancellation of candidature. The minimum age requirement for the course is 17 years and the maximum age to apply for the same is 22 years as on July 01, 2016. The candidates belonging to the reserved categories have an age relaxation of 3 years in the upper age limit. The JCECE Eligibility for B.Sc. Agriculture is determined by considering the Age Limit, Residential Criteria, Academic Qualification and Physical Criteria.

Residential Criteria

  1. The candidate must be a permanent/local resident of Jharkhand as per the domicile by the Raj Bhasa, Government of Jharkhand.
  2. The candidate must possess a proper Local Resident Certificate assigned by the Government of Jharkhand.

Academic Qualification

The candidate must pass the I.SC/10+2 or any equivalent examination with Physics and Chemistry as the compulsory subjects and one of the subjects among Mathematics/Biology.

JCECE ONLINE APPLICATION FORMJCECE ICR APPLICATION FORM

Any candidate appearing for I.SC/10+2 or any equivalent examination can also apply for the JCECE 2016 but it is necessary for him/her to clear it before the counselling date.

Physical Criteria

The candidates shortlisted for admissions have to undergo a medical checkup by the Board and the candidates who are  medically fit shall be eligible for admission. through JCECE 2016.

JCECE 2016 Reservation for B.Sc. Agriculture

The reservation criteria for JCECE 2016 is applicable for candidates who belong to Jharkhand. It provides admissions to the candidates in various colleges offering B.Sc. Agriculture programme in Jharkhand. The candidate is required to be a Permanent or Local Resident of Jharkhand as per the domicile issued by the Jharkhand Government. The candidate must possess a proper Local Resident Certificate issued by the authority assigned byGovernment of Jharkhand to avail the reservation.

The JCECE Reservation is carried out on the basis of Caste and for Disabled Candidates. The JCECE 2016 Reservation is explained below:

JCECE 2016 Reservation on Caste Basis

The JCECE Reservation is based on the latest Reservation Policy of the Jharkhand Government by various government and private institutes in Jharkhand. The candidates have to submit a Caste Certificate in desired format issued by Sub-Divisional Officer (Civil) or Dy. Commissioner of Jharkhand State. The candidates belonging to the Backward Classes have to submit Caste Certificate with the Creamy Layer factor during JCECE Counselling. Caste Certificate issued by another authority is considered invalid and the candidate will be considered under General Category.

JCECE 2016 Reservation for Disabled Candidates

The candidates with hearing, verbal or physical disabilities or all of them can avail the JCECE Reservation for Disabled Candidates. The candidates with lower or upper or both parts of the body 40% partially disabled are also considered for reservation. The candidates have to submit a full-size photograph and Certificate of Disability by the competent authority at the time of JCECE Counselling.

JCECE 2016 Application Process for B.Sc. Agriculture

The JCECE Application Process enables the candidates to participate in the JCECE 2016. The candidates can apply for the examination online or through ICR Application Form or by purchasing OMR Application Form from the designated Post office.

Online Mode

To apply online for the JCECE 2016, visit the official website http://jceceb.jharkhand.gov.in/. Click on apply online. Fill the application form by providing the necessary details. The application fee is 1200 INR (650 INR for SC/ST) for PCMB. Submit the fee either through credit/debit card or through e-challan.The last date of submission of on-line application is May 16, 2015. Download the admit card from the official website from May 22, 2016.The steps for the JCECE Application process is explained below.

Step-1 Registration- Visit the official website. Open the On-line Application form link. Read the instructions carefully and fill the form. You will receive a registration number along with password on your mobile phone and E-mail Id .After Registration, Login using the registration number and password received and submit. The next steps after registration are Uploading the images and fee payment.

Step-2 Uploading the Photograph, Signature and Left Hand's Thumb Impression- Upload a scanned copy of your Latest and identical passport size photo and signature (JPG format only) along with Left Hand's Thumb Impression.

Step-3 Fee Payment- Post uploading the necessary images, the next step is payment of fee. Pay your application fee through following mode of payment:

  1. Online- Using Credit or Debit card
  2. Offline- Download the. format of E-challan from official website and pay the fee from any Bank. Wait for 2 hours for reconciliation after depositing the fee. Login again to complete the remaining steps in the Application form.

Download the JCECE application form from “Downloads” Column from the official website. Submit the application form along with DD/Challan to the address mentioned below:

JCECE 2016 Exam Centers for B.Sc. Agriculture

The candidates will be allocated the JCECE Exam Centers by the JCECE Board, Ranchi. The candidates applying for B.Sc Agriculture will belong to the subject groups PCM, PCB and PCMB. The candidates may download the JCECE 2016 Admit Card from the official website by May 22, 2016. The candidates must carry the JCECE 2016 Hall ticket on the examination day to avoid any discrepancy.   • Open the official website of the JCECE Board

JCECE 2016 Exam Pattern for B.Sc. Agriculture

JCECE 2016 is an offline examination i.e. written examination with objective type questions. The questions asked will be based on the syllabus of CBSE class 11th and 12th. The medium of examination is English and Hindi. in case of discrepancy, the English translation will be considered final. There will be 4 papers namely Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics.Each section has 50 questions with 4 options. Each correct answer is awarded 1 mark. The candidates are not marked for unanswered questions. ¼ marks shall be deducted for every incorrect answer.

The combined evaluation of the scores of PCM and PCB group forms the basis of preparation of the merit list for the candidates appearing for this examination.

Inter-se-merit of candidates for tie breaking

In case where two or more candidates have secured the same score in JCECE 2016 exam, the JCECE Board will determine a sequence of preference for Inter-se-merit of such candidates which is mentioned below:

  • Candidates with higher scores in Physics in the examination are the first consideration, if tie persists then
  • Candidates with higher scores in Chemistry in the examination are selected, but if tie still exists then
  • Candidates older in age are chosen, if tie continues to exist yet then
  • First name as per English alphabetical order is considered in the last.

JCECE 2016 Counselling for B.Sc. Agriculture

JCECE Counselling will be held in the 3rd week of June, 2016. The JCECE 2016 Counselling Process Fee can be paid through a Challan or IPO. The Counselling Fee for General/ OBC (I and II) is INR 300 while the counselling fee for SC/ST Category candidates is INR 250. If the candidate wishes to change the branch or instituition then he/she must contact the Controller of the examination. The counselling process for the examination is carried out in two rounds- Round 1 & Round 2, which are as follows:

First Round of Counselling- The candidates are selected on the basis of rank obtained in JCECE 2016. The candidate will be allowed to make selections of the Institute and Course/Stream on Merit-Cum-Choice at his/her Merit Order only after obtaining all the required original certificates/documents.

Second Round of Counselling-  The JCECE Board chooses to host the Second Round of Counselling in case there are any non-allotted seats even after the first Round of Counselling. The rules and criteria is similar to the First Round of Counselling.
