  1. Visit the official website for CBSE NEET.
  2. Enter your login credentials.
  3. Once your account opens, you can view or download the Answer Key and your OMR Sheet as an image for further use.

How to Calculate NEET Score

Once the candidates have downloaded the NEET Answer Key and OMR Sheet, they can calculate the marks they have scored. To do so, candidates must first be aware of the marking scheme decided for the exam.

  • +4 for every correct answer
  • -1 for every incorrect answer
  • No marks will be deducted for unattempted questions

After checking the answer key, candidates must note down the number of correct and incorrect answers that they have marked in the exam. The following formula shall be used to calculate your NEET Score

NEET Score = (Number of correct responses X 4) – (Number of correct responses X 1)

Challenging the Answer Key and OMR Sheet

If the candidates find any errors in the scanned images of their NEET Answer Key or OMR Sheet, they can challenge the same in the following manner:

  1. Visit the official website and fill the form for challenging the OMR Sheet or Answer Key.
  2. Pay a fee of INR 1000 for every challenged question.
  3. A confirmation page will be generated after the payment has been made. Candidates are advised to take a print out of the same for future reference.
  4. If CBSE accepts the challenge, the fee will be refunded to the candidate.

How to mark answers in the OMR Sheet

Candidates can mark their answers on the OMR Sheet only with a Blue/Black Ball Point Pen. Darken the circle indicating the correct response completely. Take utmost care while marking your answers as incomplete darkening will not be recognized by the OMR Scanner. The picture given below shows the correct method of marking answers:

NEET Question Paper Sets

The question paper will have 4 sets- A, B, C, D, P, Q, R, S, W, X, Y, Z. Thus, there will be 12 sets of the question paper. The number of answer keys released by CBSE will be equal to the number of NEET question papers. Candidates are advised to check previous years’ question papers for NEET to get a hang of the paper pattern.

Warning issued by CBSE

It has come to CBSE’s notice that candidates make changes in the downloaded copies of their OMR Sheets and then claim that the CBSE has tampered with them. This act of false claim comes under Unfair Means and Practices in Rule 9.1 (p) and (r) of chapter 9 in the Information Bulletin. Such candidates will be barred from giving NEET in the future as per exam rules.
