NEET 2017 OMR Sheet and Answer Keys

NEET 2017 OMR sheet and Candidates’ filled in responses have been released on the official website. Candidates can access by logging into the candidate's profile. Use the registration number and date of birth to login. In case of any discrepancy, candidates can raise queries till June 14, 2017 by 5:00 p.m.

  • NEET official Answer Keys will be available on June 15, 2017. 
  • Both answer keys and OMR sheet can be challenged within 1 day of display 

Prior the declaration of CBSE NEET Result, Board publishes official answer keys for the participants. However, there is no provision for re-evaluation of NEET OMR answer sheets. But they are displayed on the website for the candidate’s reference.The candidates can challenge any incorrectly marked or unmarked question in the OMR Sheet by filling an online form released on cbseneet.nic.in. The form must be submitted along with payment of INR 1000 in online or offline mode. 

Candidates must carefully check the NEET OMR Sheet, as each correct response carries 4 marks while each incorrect response leads to deduction of 1 mark. No offline requests pf challenging the NEET Answer Key and NEET OMR Sheet will be entertained.

Display of NEET OMR Sheet

All the applicants of NEET can access their respective OMR Answer Sheet online in the official website. The candidates can view their NEET OMR sheet  by following these steps.

Step 1: Visit the official website i.e. cbseneet.nic.in

Step 2: Enter the login credentials

  • User ID/Registration Number
  • Password

Step 3: Once submitted, the applicants can view their respective NEET II OMR Sheet examined by the machine. They also have the provision of downloading their OMR Sheet in the form of images and save them for future reference.

Challenging the NEET OMR Sheet

The applicants of NEET can examine the online displayed OMR sheet and if any correct answer is not evaluated by the scanning machine they can challenge its generated response. In such a situation the students can follow these steps:

  • Visit the official website.
  • Fill the online form provided for this purpose.
  • Mention all the disagreed responses of the machine.
  • Make the required payment which is Rs.1000 per response challenged via online or offline mode. The payment details will be soon announced in the official website.
  • Once the payment has been made, an OMR sheet Challenge confirmation page will be generated.
  • The student can take a print out of OMR Challenge confirmation sheet for future purpose.
  • If the CBSE board accepts the challenge, the amount paid by the applicant for per correct response will be refunded.
  • If the candidate fails to challenge the machine generated OMR Response during the announced duration, no such request will be entertained henceforth.
  • No offline challenge request will be accepted.

Display of NEET Answer Key

The answer key for the question booklets of NEET will be available on the official website of CBSE. The NEET Answer key is expected to be released in the month of May 2017. The applicants have to follow these steps to access the NEET Answer key:

Step 1: Visit the Official website

Step 2: Click on the link for accessing the NEET Answer key.

Step 3:  Candidates will have to enter details such as registration/application number, roll no, password.

Step 4: Once submitted the candidates can view the answer key of the respective question booklet they have attempted in NEET.


Calculation of NEET Scores

The candidates appearing in NEET can evaluate their scores themselves by comparing the NEET OMR sheet and NEET Answer key. The marking scheme to be followed is similar to AIPMT I

  • For each correct marking, the candidate will be awarded 4 marks.
  • For each incorrect marking, 1 mark will be deducted.
  • For each multiple marking, 1 mark will be deducted.
  • For each question which is not attempted, no marks will be deducted.

The student can compare the aggregate score obtained with the previous year AIPMT Cut off. This will provide the candidate a rough idea of their NEET Rank, the colleges he/she might be eligible for, his/her chance of getting into merit list.

Note: The rank evaluated might differ because the merit list varies towards the end. This is due to a number of students challenging the OMR response and getting their scores re-evaluated.


Challenging NEET Answer Key

The candidates can challenge the NEET Answer key if they feel that the answers provided in the NEET Answer key is incorrect. For this the students are required to follow these steps:

  • Visit the official website.
  • Fill the online form with the answers they want to challenge.
  • Make the required payment which is Rs.1000 per answer are challenged.
  • For each correct challenge the paid amount will be refunded to the students.
  • Any challenge request made after the declared duration as well as offline requests will not be accepted.

Provision for Rechecking of NEET OMR Sheet

The machine generated OMR Sheet Response is consistently checked a number of times. Hence no request for re-evaluation or rechecking of NEET OMR sheet will be entertained under any circumstance.
