NEET PG 2018 Result

NEET PG 2018 Result is expected to be released in the third week of January – 2018. Candidates can view the results on the official portal of NBE (National Board of Examinations). There is no offline announcement of result.

Some of the salient points regarding declaration of NEET PG 2018 Results is mentioned below:

  • NBE is also going to publish a marks list for all the candidates who have appeared in NEET 2018

NEET PG 2018 (National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test) is an entrance exam for post-graduate medical courses organized by NBE (National Board of Examinations). Students are admitted in PG Medical courses in top colleges and universities of the country on the basis of NEET PG score. Only India nationals holding an MBBS degree from a university recognized by medical council of India will be eligible to apply.

How to check NEET PG 2018 Result?

NEET PG 2018 Result will be uploaded online on the official site of the NBE. The result is announced in the form of score card. Candidates can check their results by entering their credentials namely Confirmation No., Testing ID and Date of Birth which is mentioned on the admit card issued by NBE.

NEET PG 2018 Score Card

The result for NEET PG will be announced in the form of score card. Score card of the candidate contains all the relevant details pertaining to their performance and final qualifying status.

NEET PG 2018 Score Card is available in online mode only and candidates can download the same using their login credentials mentioned earlier. Candidates need to produce their score card at the time of appearing for the counselling.

Normalization of Score for NEET PG 2018

Normalization of score includes thepercentile score which basically means the minimum marks required to qualify the examination. The calculation of the percentile score is based on the applicant’s percentile in the exam in relation to the marks obtained by other applicants.

The procedure to calculate the score based on the marking scheme of the NEET PG 2018 exam is given below:

  • For every correct answer, the candidate will score 4 marks.
  • For each incorrect answer, -1 will be deducted.
  • For marking more than one answer, candidate will score 0 marks.
  • For un-attempted or blank answers, student will score 0 marks.

NEET PG 2018: Answer Key

NEET PG 2018 answer key will be made available online by NBE (National Board of Examination) after the exams are conducted in last week of December. In order to evaluate their own performance in the NEET PG 2018 exam, students can check with the answer key online.

The examination is expected to be held in the month of December and so the corresponding answer sheet will be made available by NBE from December 15, 2017, to January 15, 2018, through the official portal.

NEET PG 2018 Merit List

NEET PG 2018 Merit list will be prepared by NBE based on candidate’s score in the examination. NBE is responsible for preparing the merit list for All India 50% quota seats whereas the state counselling authorities.

Tie Breaker

In case two or more candidates have scored similar marks in this examination, the following stated tie breaker will determine the result:

  • Student older in age will be preferred: All the important details regarding the reservation for NEET PG 2018 are as follows:
  • All India NEET-PG 2018 rank: This is the overall merit position for all the students who have appeared for NEET PG 2018 examination.
  • All India 50% quota rank: This is the overall merit position for the candidates who have appeared in the examination and lie in the category of quota. All over India, 50% seats are reserved for MD/MS/Post-Graduate Diploma Courses 2018 admission session.
  • All India 50% quota Category Rank: 50% seats, all over India, are reserved for candidates appearing for the NEET PG 2018 who falls in the category of SC/ST/OBC.
  • State quota/ Private medical colleges/Deemed University/AFMS Rank: Seats are also reserved for students with state quota rank, state category rank and rural posting.

NEET PG 2018 Cut Off

Cut-off marks are declared by NBE (National Board of Examination), once the results are out, based on which students get admission in respective colleges. The expected date of NEET PG 2018 examination is from 1st to 3rd week of December in 2017 and the expected result date is the 3rd week of January 2018.

NEET PG 2018 Counselling

NEET PG 2018 Counselling is expected to be conducted by NBE for the given quotas. All the information regarding NEET PG 2018 counselling is mentioned below. However, the information is tentative and subject to change:

  • All India 50% Quota Seats: Medical Counseling Committee (MCC) of Directorate General of Health Services, Government of India conducts the counselling for All India Quota 50% referring to the student’s result in NEET PG 2018.
  • State Quota Seats: The concerned States / designated authority / University conducts the counselling for state quota seats as per their score in the examination.
  • Admission In Private Medical Colleges, Institutes, Universities, Deemed Universities: The counselling for candidates to get admission in private medical colleges, institutes, universities and deemed universities are conducted by designated counselling authority of these Private Colleges/ Institutions/ Institutes/ Universities/ Deemed Universities.
  • Admission In Armed Forces Medical Service Institutions: The counselling to get admission in armed forces medical service institutions is conducted by the Directorate General Armed Forces Medical Services (DGAFMS), Ministry of Defense, Government of India based on the rank and marks scored by the student.
  • Admission In Dnb Broad Specialty Courses: NBE (National Board of Examination) conducts the centralized merit based counselling based on the rank of the student in NEET PG 2018.
