NEET MDS Counselling 2018

NEET MDS Counselling 2018 is expected to begin from March 14 onwards. National Board of Examinations (NBE) will conduct the counselling online once NEET MDS Result is declared on January 31. The date and venue of counselling will be updated online on the official website of NBE.

Last Date to fill NEET MDS Application Form is October 31.
  • NEET MDS Counselling will be conducted in two rounds for MDS aspirants.
  • If an applicant is unable to get admission in the first session due to low marks in NEET MDS, he can attend the second session if desired.
  • Candidates whose name will be listed in the released merit list will only be eligible to participate in NEET MDS Counselling. Check  NEET MDS Exam Pattern
  • At an All India Level, 50% seats are reserved for candidates who belong to SC/ST/OBC/PH.
  • Candidates will get admissions to Private Dental Colleges, Institutes, Universities, Deemed Universities and Armed Forces Medical Service Institutions. Check NEET MDS Colleges

NEET MDS Counselling Date 2018

Admissions Through NEET MDS Counselling 2018

NEET MDS Counselling 2018 will be held for admissions of the following:

  1. All India 50% Quota Seats

Counselling for all India reserved category candidates will be conducted by Medical Counseling Committee (MCC) of Directorate General of Health Services, Government of India, which is solely based on the NEET MDS Result.

  1. State Quota Seats

Reservation of NEET MDS seats in states of India will be taken care by designated Counselling authority of the respective States/Union Territories. They will be responsible for conducting counselling sessions for under State Quota based on results of NEET MDS. The counselling committee will consider eligibility criteria, applicable regulations, guidelines and applicable reservation policies while allocating seats under this category.

  1. Admission to Private Dental Colleges, Institutes, Universities, Deemed Universities

Seats for NEET MDS 2018 will be allotted to candidates under this category via counselling sessions conducted by the designated counseling authority of these Private Colleges/Institutes/Universities/ Deemed Universities on the basis of NEET MDS scores. Applicable Regulations, eligibility criteria, reservation policy, etc. will also be adhered to while allotting seats.

  1. Admission to Armed Forces Medical Service Institutions:

Counselling for admissions to Armed Forces Medical Service Institution is conducted by The Army Dental Corps, Ministry of Defense, Government of India based on NEET-MDS

NEET MDS Counselling 2018

The NEET MDS counselling procedure includes registration, exercising choices, indicative seats, locking of choices, process of seat allotment, result publication and reporting to the medical college allotted for admission. According to National Board of Examinations (NBE), which is the examination conducting authority, only those applicants can participate in the counselling session who have scored All India Rank on the basis of qualifying marks.

If candidate belongs to general category, 50% is the minimum qualifying score whereas for OBC/SC/ST, candidates have to score 40% marks in order be at par in the selection criteria as per NBE. The NEET MDS counselling Procedure is elaborated below which shall be applicable for allotment of 50% AIQ MDS seats:

  1. Main online Counseling Registration
  2. Exercising of Choices, Indicative Seat and Locking
  3. Process of Seat Allotment (Round 1)
  4. Result Publication (Round 1)
  5. Reporting at the allotted Medical/Dental College against 1st Round
  6. Process of Seat Allotment -Round 2
  7. Result Publication (Round 2)
  8. Reporting at the allotted Medical / Dental Colleges against Round 2
  9. Transfer of NEET MDS vacant seats to State Quota

List of documents required at NEET MDS Counselling 2018

All the qualified candidates are required to carry the following original documents:

  • NEET MDS 2018 scorecard
  • NEET MDS 2018 Admit Card
  • Mark sheet of BDS 1st, 2nd and 3rd year examinations
  • Qualifying examination certificate, that is, BDS Degree Certificate
  • Permanent or provisional certificate provided by DCI/Dental Council
  • Internship completion certificate issued from the Head of the Institution
  • 10th standard certificate as proof of birth
  • Valid Government Identity proofs (Driving License/ PAN Card/Voter ID/Passport or Aadhar Card)
  • Physically handicap medical certificate, if required.
  • SC/ST/OBC certificate, if required

my rank neet mds 2018 is 6770, want to know last year's counselling ranks. around till what rank in good private colleges give endo, prostho, orthodontics , especially for colleges in karnataka and in and around delhi. eagerly waiting for your reply thank you
