MICAT Registration 2018 - Phase 1

Mudra Institute of Communications (MICA), Ahmedabad invites applications for admissions to Post Graduate Diploma in Management - Communications (PGDM-C) for the academic year 2018-19. MICAT Application Form 2018 can be filled between September 26, 2017 till November 30, 2017. The candidates can avail the application form for both MICAT I & MICAT II through online mode on the official website. 

  • Online application starts from September 26, 2017.
  • Candidates should ensure that they satisfy all the norms for eligibility before filling Application Form.
  • Candidates need to pay INR 1965 as application fee. It can be pay via both online and offlines modes. 
  • Candidates need to fill the application form by mentioning the personal details.
  • Applicants have to fill the application form properly and carefully as if they fill incorrect data and submit the form, no change will be permitted in it at any later stage.
  • Candidates have to put forward the Application Form of MICAT 2018 on time.
  • If the application form is submitted after the last date, it will be considered invalid and will be rejected.
  • Last date to fill the application form is November 30, 2017.

MICAT 2018 Application Dates

MICAT exam is conducted twice (MICAT 1 and MICAT 2) for admission to management courses in MICA and the best scores of both the exam will be considered for the further evaluation. The detailed schedule of MICAT Registration 2018 is given in the table below:

MICAT 2018 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must note that their applications might get rejected if the same are not filled in correctly, or if it does not comply by the eligibility criteria of the exam. Candidates are advised to check the eligibility criteria thoroughly, as some major changes were observed in the previous year. The eligibility criteria for MICAT 2018 is as follows:

  • Candidate must hold a Bachelor's degree with the 10 + 2 + 3 system, or of an equivalent qualification.
  • The degree must be obtained from a recognized university or by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU).
  • The Bachelor’s degree can be in any discipline.
  • Final year students are also eligible for the exam.
  • Candidate must have a valid score in either of the following mentioned exams- CAT 2016, XAT 2017 and GMAT (2015 onwards)

MICAT 2018 Registration Process 

MICAT 2018 application process is completely online and the candidates need to register for the same via its official website. MICAT 2018 application form had 3 steps which as follows:

  • Register - As you follow the instruction and register, you will get a User ID and password through which you will have to login later.
  • Fill Form- After registration and re-login fill in the form with correct details and submit the same.
  • Make Payment - Candidates will get 3 options of payment, Credit Card, Demand Draft and Counter Payment (which is payment by cash where you can get the prospectus and application form in the MICA Admission Office).
  • Preview - In this step, you will be able to preview your filled up MICAT Application Form 2018 before submission. 

Given below are the steps that have to be followed to apply online for the MICAT 2018 exam.

Step 1: Register

  • Visit the MICA Official Website. Click on the “Apply Online” button for PGDM-C Course.


  • There are two options- New registration and Already registered users.


  • Upon clicking on New Registration, the following page appears.


  • The registration form consists the following options that the candidates have to fill- name, email ID, mobile number. The applicants have to click on the “I agree” button and submit the MICAT Registration form.


  • Upon final submission, the following confirmation page appears:


Step 2: Fill MICAT Application Form

The applicants of MICAT 2018 have to fill in the following details

  • Other Personal Details: DOB, Gender, Age, Nationality, Marital status, Parents’ Name and academic qualification and Correspondence Address


  • Next the candidates have to fill the following details: Permanent Address, Contact Details, Choice of Center: The applicant has the provision of selecting 3 MICAT Exam centers and also the GE/PI center, if selected.


  • Qualification details: Class 10, Class 12, Graduation details, Master/PG Details, Employment Experience details


  • CAT/XAT/GMAT Details & Uploading Photgraph and Signature


  • The candidates have to follow the given photograph & signature specifications:


Step 3: Payment of MICAT 2018 Application Fee

Candidates can pay MICAT 2018 application fee via both offline and online mode. They can choose to pay their application fee via Online /Cash (SBI only)/Demand Draft.

Given below are the steps to pay MICAT application fee via online mode

  • To pay the application fee via online mode, click on “Online Payment”button. A candidate can pay the fee using Net Banking/Credit Card/Debit Card.
  • Choose the suitable option and enter all the required details.
  • Then, click on “Pay” button.
  • After the successful payment of application fee, the Payment Receipt will be generated.
  • Take a printout of Payment Receipt by clicking on the “Print” button.

Given below are the steps to pay application fee via Cash (SBI only)

  • To pay the application fee by cash, click on “Payment through SBI Bank”button.
  • After that take a printout of the SBI Bank Challan.

SBI Bank Challan will be divided into 3 parts, a candidate has to pay the application against this challan at SBI Bank. The candidates must not forget to collect 2 parts of the challan. One part is the Candidate’s copy and other will be MICA copy. The MICA copy is to be signed by the candidates and is to be sent at MICA collection centre.

Given below are the steps to pay application fee via Demand Draft

Candidates can also pay their Application feethrough Demand Draft that must be drawn in favour of “MICA” payable at Ahmedabad. To pay using this method a candidate has to choose the mode of Payment as Demand Draft. After selecting this option, a payment advice form will appear. Take its printout and sent it to the MICA collection centre along with the DD.

Step 4- Print MICAT Registration Form

This is the final step of MICAT 2018 Registration.

  • After the successful payment of Application fee, a candidate must check all the details in the Application Form. If a candidate wants to edit some information, click on “Edit Button”
  • After that, click on “Submit Button”
  • Take a printout of MICAT 2018 Application Form
