MH CET/MHT CET 2017 Exam Centres

MH CET  Exam will be conducted at 36 headquarters in 8 districts of Maharashtra on May 05, 2017. MHTCET 2017 Exam Center for the exam shall preferably be in the same district from where the candidate appeared/passed HSC/class 12 exam. Candidates must mention their choice of Exam Centre while filling up of MHT CET Application Form.

Information about alotted Exam Centre with dates and timings are enclosed in MHT CET Admit Card. MH CET 2017 Admit Card is a mandatory document that must be carried along accompanied by supporting document and a valid photo ID during MHT CET 2017 Exam followed by MHT CET Counselling. Guidelines for the Examination mentioned on the Admit Card should be followed for smooth conduct of the MHT CET 2017 Exam & Counselling. For eligible Non-Maharashtra candidates who passed class 12/HSC from outside Maharashtra, the exam conducting authority will allot the exam center.

Any request made by candidates to change the examination centre will not be entertained under any condition. The exam centre alotted by the exam conducting authority will be final. Only Non-Maharashtra candidates can choose a distinct examination centre while filling MHT CET 2017 Application form.

Documents Required At MHT CET 2017 Exam Centre

The candidates appearing for MHT CET 2017 Exam must carry MHT CET 2017 Admit Card accompanied by Valid photo ID issued by Government of India to the Test Venue. If any of the documents is missing, such candidates will not be allowed to enter the MHT CET 2017 Exam Centre.

Photo IDs to be used for VerificationThe candidate’s identity will be verified with the details provided on the hall ticket of MHT CET 2017, details in the attendance sheet and the details mentioned in the requisite documents submitted.

The candidate must carry anyone of the photo ID proof mentioned below for the identification check, along with the Admit Card. The list is as follows

  • PAN Card/ Passport/ Driving License/ Voter’s ID Card
  • Bank Passbook with photograph
  • Photo identity proof issued by a Gazetted Officer on official letterhead along with photograph
  • Photo identity proof issued by a People’s Representative on official letterhead along with photograph
  • Valid recent Identity Card issued by a recognized College/ University
  • Aadhar card with a photograph/ Employee ID/  Bar Council Identity Card

Mismatch of IDs

In case of mismatch of any information in either ID or admit card, the candidate will not be allowed to appear in the exam. Even if the identity of candidate is doubtful, he/she will be not permitted to appear in the exam.

Candidates Reporting Late 

Candidates must pay attention to the reporting time mentioned on their admit card. Any candidate who reports late, that is, after the reporting time, he/she will not be allowed to take the examination. The time mentioned on admit card is prior to the start of MHTCET 2017. Candidate must reach the exam center as per the reporting time as before the examination, there are many formalities that are to be completed such as verification and collecting requisite document, logging in and giving instructions.

Points To Remember On MHT CET 2017 Exam Day

  • Candidates, especially the female candidates who have changed their name will only be allowed if they produce their original marriage certificate/ original Gazetted notification or original affidavit
  • Candidates must make sure are not carrying any paper or any unfair means to exam centre otherwise if caught, they will be debarred from taking the exam
  • Also remember that mobile phones, calculator and other electronic gadgets are strictly prohibited. So candidate must make sure that he/she is not carrying anything to exam hall
  • Listen carefully to the instructions given by the invigilator before the exam starts as it will prevent any panic situation during exam, thus, saving your time
  • Candidates must make sure that they don’t give much time on a single question as the time is less and the number of questions are more.
  • In case the computer system shuts down accidently or any other problem arises, don’t panic and inform the invigilator. Candidate will be allotted a different system. Also,  all the answers marked by the candidate before the problem occurred will be saved and candidate need not worry about it.
  • Also don’t press any key on the keyboard otherwise the system will be locked and candidate will be at loss as there would be a need to restore the test time and thus the time that candidate will get will be less than 2 hours 30 minutes. So candidates must avoid such situation.
  • Also read the instructions carefully given regarding the question paper and exam pattern before the exam commences. This will help them during the examination.

MHT CET 2017 Guidelines To PWD Candidates

Candidates suffering from any disability from not less than 40% as certified by a medical authority is considered a PWD candidate. A candidate whose writing hand is permanently affected (minimum 40% impairment), thus affecting the performance of candidate. Also, the candidates who suffer from not less than 40% disability may opt to view the content of the Online test in enlarged font. Such candidates are entitled for an extra time of 20 minutes per hour or otherwise advised.

Guidelines for Visually Impaired candidates

If visually impaired candidates avail the facility of scribe, they will not get the option of viewing the questions in enlarged font. However, such candidates will get any extra time of 20 minutes per hour or as advised by the authority.

Candidates who are visually impaired and candidates who have adversely affected writing speed permanently, then such candidates can avail the benefit of scribe on their own cost for the online exam

Rules applicable for the use of Scribe by PWD candidates

  • Scribe has to be arranged by candidate at his/her own cost
  • The scribe should not be the candidate of the same exam. If such a case is discovered, candidature of both the candidates will be cancelled.
  • A candidate who is eligible and wishes to avail the benefit has to notify the same in the online application form. Any subsequent request will not be addressed
  • Scribe of one candidate can’t be the scribe of another candidate
  • Scribe can be of any academic background
  • Both candidate and scribe have to give an undertaking stating that the scribe fulfills the eligibility criteria laid by the exam conducting authority. If at any stage it is found that the information provided is false and scribe doesn’t fulfill the eligibility criteria, candidature of such a candidate will be cancelled, no matter what the result is
  • Candidates using scribe will get an extra time of 20 minutes per hour i.e., for example if the total time for exam is 2 hours then candidates with scribe will get 2 hours 40 minutes
  • Candidates who have registered in advance can only avail this facility as compensatory time will be system based and it can’t be allotted to candidates who doesn’t notify about the same in the application form.

MHT CET 2017 Preparation Tips

Preparation for MHT CET 2017 can be little stressful at times. Candidates are advised to plan a strategic schedule with adequate time span for studies and fun as well. So, Study Well, Eat Good and Work Out. You’ll do great.

  • Make sure that no new topic is started. Focus on the topics you covered and revise them properly
  • Maintain a separate formulae notebook where all the formulae related to Quantitative Ability are mentioned. This will help candidates in last minute revision
  • Time management is the key to success. So make sure to avoid question(s) that are taking time
  • Make sure you do ample mock test before appearing for MHTCET Exam. Practice will enhance your chance of scoring a high percentile and a better rank
  • Before you start attempting paper, make sure to plan the sequence in which you will attempt questions. Questions that are easy for you must be attempted first as it will give you confidence. Avoid the section in beginning that you are not confident about. Attempt it later
  • Don’t panic. Maintain your cool
  • Don’t study for long hours as it affects the efficiency. Instead take small breaks to unwind yourself
