The State Common Entrance Test Cell, Mumbai, Government of Maharashtra conducts an entrance exam which is MHT CET.
MHT CET which is required for admission to full time degree courses is for the following courses:
The minimum age for exams is 17 years and a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate are required for the candidate to appear for the exam.
The admission to MBA/MMS programs in colleges in Maharashtra is through the entrance exam MAH MBA/MMS CET. Through this entrance exam, candidates can get admission to the following institutes:

For the MHT CET 2018 Exam, the candidate must be of minimum of 17 years of age. According to the guidelines, the candidate must have been born on or before December 31, 1999. For the 2018 exam for the Ayruved and Unani courses, the candidates must be born on or before October 1, 1999. Each candidate must also provide an age proof which certifies the candidate eligible for the exam. The age proof documents can be:
Note- The minimum age eligibility criterion does not hold for MAH CET conducted for admission to MBA and MMS courses. Also for MAH MCA CET, the age eligibility criterion does not hold.
The candidates who wish to take the MHT CET exam must also fulfill the criteria of minimum education qualification. The candidate must have passed the Higher Secondary Certificate or the class 12th with subjects as English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology (Botany or Zoology) from a recognized board.
To appear for the MAH CET exam, the candidate must have scored a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate or equivalent CGPA in any Bachelor’s degree from any of the recognized universities of India. The bachelor’s degree must be of a minimum duration of three years. In case of the reserved categories, the candidates should have scored a minimum of 45% marks in aggregate or equivalent CGPA. Candidates who are appearing for the final year of the examination of the undergraduate course can also apply for the entrance exam. For candidates who are awarded grades or CGPA instead of marks should be able to convert the grades into marks as per the procedure certified by the university or college from where they have obtained the undergraduate degree.
For applying for the MAH MCA CET the candidate must have scored a minimum of 50% aggregate in any discipline in their undergraduate bachelor’s degree program from any recognized university in India. The undergraduate degree must be of a minimum duration of three years. For candidates belonging to the backward classes and Persons with Disability belonging to the Maharashtra state only, the minimum marks criterion is of 45% in aggregate. In addition to this, the candidate must have studied mathematics as a subject at the class 12th level or the undergraduate level. For candidates seeking a direct admission to the second year of the course, they must have passed the bachelor degree in Computer Applications or Science i.e. Information Technology or Computer Science. Candidates appearing for the final year of their examination in the undergraduate course can also apply for the entrance exam.

The candidates appearing for MHT CET having the Indian citizenship should be of 17 years age and should have completed their class 12th examination with a minimum of 50% marks in the subjects Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics and/ Biology. The candidates with the citizenship status as NRI/ Foreign Nationals (FN)/ Person of Indian Origin (PIO) should have scored a minimum of 50% marks or equivalent in their class 12thexaminations or equivalent in Physics, and Mathematics and/ Biology.
The candidates appearing for MHT CET for admission to engineering and technology courses must necessarily have an Indian Nationality, there is no provision for candidates belonging to the NRI/ Foreign Nationals or PIO categories.
For applying to the MAH MCA CET, one necessary condition is that the candidate must be an Indian National. There is no provision for candidates belonging to the NRI/Foreign Nationals or PIO categories.
There are certain additional entries in the form for MHT CET which require the candidates to mark the appropriate domicile states and if the candidate belongs to the J&K migrant category. The candidates are also required to mark if they belong to the Goa State category as this category also has certain benefits regarding the seat reservation. As per the guidelines issued by Government of Maharashtra, Agriculture and Animal Husbandry, Dairy Development & Fisheries Department, 10 seats are reserved for NRI/FN/PIO candidates and 5 seats are reserved for Jammu and Kashmir migrants and 6 seats are reserved for Goa state candidates.
Candidates applying for MAH MCA CET under the category of backward class and Person with disability who belong to the Maharashtra State only must have a minimum score of 45% marks in their qualifying examination.

The candidates belonging to the constitutional reserved categories and candidates belonging to the categories and with disability should have scored not less than a minimum of 40% marks in aggregate in subjects as Physics, Chemistry and Biology.
The candidate should have passed the class 12th examination with subjects as Physics, Chemistry and Biology.

The eligibility criteria for this entrance test does not limit the age of the candidate. Candidates of any age can apply for the entrance test.
The age eligibility criteria for B. V. Sc. and AH is that the candidate must be of 17 years of age.
The minimum qualifications required for applying to the MHT CET are as follows:
Indian Candidates: Candidates should have passed the class 12th examination with an aggregate of 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English for general category and 40% aggregate for the reserved categories.
NRI/Foreign Nationals/Person of Indian Origin: The candidates should have scored a minimum of 50% marks aggregate in the class 12th examination in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics.
The candidates are also required to submit a certificate stating their medical fitness at the time of filling the form for MHT CET for admission to Health Science Courses.
There is a special entry in the application form of MHT CET for the mention of the wards of Government of Maharashtra. The candidates are supposed to mark in the application form if they are the ward/spouse of an Ex- Defense Service personnel, or active Defense Service personnel either domicile in the State of Maharashtra or transfer to Maharashtra.
The MAH CET is an entrance exam for the admission to MBA and MMS courses at various institutes in Maharashtra. The candidates appearing for the MAH CET must have scored a minimum of 50% aggregate marks in their undergraduate course. The undergraduate course can be in any field from a recognized university in India.

The MAH MCA CET is an entrance exam for the first year or direct second year admission to MCA course in institutes in Maharashtra. The candidates are required to have scored a minimum of 50% aggregate marks in their undergraduate degree course in any discipline for admission to the first year course or the candidate must be graduated in Computer Science or Information Technology to apply for the exam for admission to the second year of the MCA program.
