MH CET Law 2018 Application Form (Releasing Soon)

Government of Maharashtra, State Common Entrance Test Cell, will release MH CET Law Application Form at  in March 2018. The state level law exam is conducted separately 5 year LLB and 3 year LLB programs, scheduled for April 22 and June 17 respectively.

Indian Intermediate Graduates with at least 45% marks can apply online for MH CET Law 2018. Before starting registration, go through few important points listed below: 

  • Going through the eligibility guidelines. Check Updated Eligibility Criteria
  • Having a valid and active E-mail ID and Mobile No.
  • Scanning the Photograph and Signature as per specifications. Check Guidelines for Uploading Photo and Signature  
  • Application Fee/ Intimation Charges which are non-refundable.

How to Apply for MH CET Law 2018?

Registration steps for 3 year LLB and 5 year LLB programs are almost similar. They are listed below:

  • Visit the official website i.e. or CET Cell’s website i.e.
  • Click on ‘Apply Online’ tab, which will redirect you to a new screen.
  • Select ‘Click Here for New Registration’ tab.
  • Enter Name, Contact Details and Email ID. 
  • A provisional Registration No. and Password will be generated and will be sent to the registered Email ID and Mobile Number.

Step 1: Application Form Filling

Log in to the portal with the provisional ID and Password. Complete the form by filling all the details as asked. Click “Save and Next” button. When you are sure of the information, click on “Submit” button and move to the next step.

Candidate NameIncludes the details of first name, middle name, and last name.
Email IDA valid functional email id which can be used for communication
Mobile NumberA functional mobile number so that candidates can receive the notification on the phone.
Candidate AgeAge has to be given in years and months eg: 26 years and 6 month
Date of BirthTo verify the age DOB is printed in the format of the date, month and year.
Father NameName of father in 50 characters as printed in class 10 certificate
Mother nameName written without prefix must have 50 characters and must match the name printed on birth certificate.
Class 10th MarksPercentage marks obtained in class 10 and the year of passing class 10. Details of board cleared in class 10.
Class 12th MarksDetails of the stream selected, board percentage mark and year of passing class 12.
Graduation subjects (Only for 3-year LLB Program)Subjects studied in graduation, university details and percentage marks obtained in qualifying examination.
Reservation detailsUpload the certificate issued and registered with government bodies. The reservation is for Kashmir migrants, SC/ST, OBC, OBC of Gujarat.
Address detailsDetails of street, city, district, etc. in the format displayed on the official website.

Step 2: Uploading of Documents

Upload the scanned images of additional documents, photograph, and signature. This must comply with the guidelines defined by the conducting body. A brief about the specifications are listed below:

  • A passport size colored photograph of 200 x 230 dimensions.
  • Scanned image of signatures in 140x 60 dimensions with file size of less than 20 kb
  • The images must be uploaded in JPEG format.

Step 3: Final Submission

Before finally submitting the application form, click ‘Preview’ tab and verify all the details in the application form. Modify details if required and click on ‘Final Submit Only’. Next, click on ‘Payment’ tab and proceed for making the payment for Maharashtra Law CET.

Step 4: Payment of MH CET Law Application Fee

The application fee for CET can be paid via online mode only. Bank Transaction charges for online payment of fee will have to be borne by the applicant. Tabulated below is the category wise fee for the exam:

  • Modes of Payment – Debit Cards (RuPay/Visa/MasterCard/Maestro)/ Credit Cards, Internet Banking, IMPS (Immediate Payment Service (IMPS), Cash Cards/ Mobile Wallets.
  • Once you have submitted the application fee do not press the refresh button or return to the back page.
  • An e-receipt will be generated once the application fee is received, take a print out of the form.
  • In case no fee receipt is generated this can mean that the system is failed.
  • In case a candidate uses an international credit card the transaction will be accepted in Indian rupee only. The conversion charges will be borne by the candidates.
  • The fee is non- refundable and non- transferable.

Important Information about MH CET Law Application Form

  • Submit only single application. In case multiple forms are submitted, the recent one will be considered.
  • Fill in all the details carefully and preview the form before final submissions as there is no provision for Form Correction in MH CET Law 2018.
  • Choice of exam center should be made carefully as no changes will be entertained at later stages by the Competent Authority. 
  • Information regarding use of scribes by PwD candidates will be clearly mentioned in the online application. One must go through the same thoroughly.
  • Applications found incomplete or defective will be rejected immediately. No representation regarding the same will be entertained under any circumstances.

MH CET Law Eligibility Criteria

The State Common Entrance Test Cell prescribes the eligibility for the law programs. As per the standards, eligibility is different for 3 year LLB and 5 year LLB program. Listed below is a brief information for the same:

Eligibility for Appearing to MH CET LLB 5-Year Program

  • Candidate should be an Indian Citizen
  • SSC or HSC graduates from a recognised school in Maharashtra with 45% marks (40% for SC/ ST category).
  • Candidates appearing for qualifying examination in the academic year 2017-18 can also apply online for CET Exam. 

Eligibility for Appearing to MH CET LLB 3-Year Program

  • Candidate should be an Indian Citizen
  • Graduate and or Post Graduate in any discipline from a recognised University in Maharashtra with minimum 45% marks.
  • No upper age limit for admissions to 3 year LLB CET in the academic year 2018-19.

FAQs – MH CET Law Application Form

Q. What should I do if there is a lot of delay in accessing the page?

Ans. The internet connection must be checked. During last few days plenty of people are accessing the website so it can be slow.

Q. How do I know that my application is registered?

Ans. If you get a registration number and password, this means the registration number is successful.

Q. I did not receive the email intimation for registration of my application?

Ans. Check the spam folder of your mailbox, these are auto response mails. Check the mail policy of your email service provider, where is it directing the auto-response emails.

Q. How do I re-confirm that my application is saved?

Ans. Generate a reprint of the application form to check the successful registration.  

Q. I got Blank / Zero Registration No. after submission of application online?

Ans. Register again and take a print out of the application form, to ensure the registration.

Q. After filling up the complete form, I got Blank Screen / Internet got disconnected / My PC closed/hanged / shutdown. Is my application saved/registered?

Ans. Login to the system with registration number and password, in case you are not able to login, register again.

Q. In which mode can I pay the application fee?

Ans. In online mode, only the application fee can be paid. A fee has to be paid through credit/debit card.

Q. What details should I retain while replying to auto-response emails?

Ans. Retain the details of “registration number” and “password”.

Q. What details should I provide while writing about the problem?

Ans. The details of registration number, mobile number, date of birth and the full name must be written in the email sent to the authorities.

Q. I want to change/correct the details I entered in the Application?

Ans. Before hitting the final submit button you can change the information furnished on the application form. Once the final submit button is hit, no changes can be done.

Hi Nikhat, No, you are not eligible for this course because the basic eligibility for this course is given below:

Qualifying Examination: SSC (10th Class) and HSC (Class 12th) graduate from a recognized school in Maharashtra State.

Minimum Marks: A minimum of 45% aggregate marks (40% for SC/ ST category) in the qualifying examination (Maharashtra State Candidates).
