MAH MCA CET 2017 Application Process

MAH MCA CET 2017 is a State level entrance exam of Maharashtra state. This is an online examination. The online application process for MAH MCA CET 2017 exam will start form February 29, 2017 and will be closed on March 10, 2017. Candidate who fulfills the eligibility criteria for MAH MCA CET 2017 can register only through online mode, no other mode is available. The application fee can also be paid only through online mode (Debit/ Credit Card). Exam will be held on March 27, 2017 in multiple sessions. To appear in the exam, download the admit card through official website from March 04, 2017 (onwards). MAH MCA CET result will be declared on April 10, 2017 at 5:00 PM. Candidates, who wish to peruse the MCA from Maharashtra state must register themselves before the last date

MAH CET 2017 MCA test is conducted by Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Maharashtra for admission to first year and Direct 2nd year (lateral entry) to MCA Courses in the various institute of Maharashtra state for the academic year 2017-17. Government of Maharashtra has established a State Common Entrance Test Cell (CET CELL) under Admission Regulating Authority (ARA). The Competent Authority shall conduct the MAH MCA CET 2017 exam.

MAH MCA CET 2017 Application Fee

  • 1. Rs. 750/- for Open Category Candidates from Maharashtra State, Outside Maharashtra State (OMS), J & K Migrant candidates and NRI/Foreign Nationals/ PIO/ Children of Indian Workers in the Gulf Countries Candidates.
  • 2.Rs. 550/- for Candidates of Backward Class Categories [SC, ST, VJ/DT- NT(A), NT(B), NT(C), NT(D), OBC, SBC] and Persons with Disability (PwD) Candidates belonging to Maharashtra State only.

Important Points to be noted before MAH CET MCA 2017 Registration

Candidates applying online for MAH MCA CET 2017 should keep the following things ready before starting the registration process:

  • Have a valid email id and personal mobile number (both should be active till the completion process)
  • Should have a Credit Card/ Debit Card (for online fee payment)
  • Scan copy of your photograph and signature (meet the required specification as mentioned below)

MAH MCA CET 2017 Registration Process

To apply for MAH MCA CET 2017, candidates need to follow the following steps:

B. Upload Photo and Signature

C. Edit and Save Data

D. Pay Application Fee

Step 1 Registration:

  • Visit the DTE Maharashtra official website and click on MCA 2017-17 link
  • Now click on apply online link to fill the online application form which will open a new screen
  • In this window, you have to click on “New Registration
  • For registration, enter the following details – Name, contact details, and valid email id. A provisional Registration Number and Password will be generated by the system and displayed on the screen and will be sent an Email & SMS on the registered email id and mobile number
  • After successful registration, candidates can fill the application form logging through registration number and password
  • Now candidates fill their personal details like – date of birth, father/ husband name etc. (as given in the 10th class certificate). Any change/ alteration found may disqualify the candidature
  • Select the exam cities for exam
  • Validate your details and Save your application by clicking the “Validate your details” and “Save & Next” button
  • Now candidates will proceed to the next step i.e. upload Photo & Signature

Note: Candidates are advised to carefully fill and verify the details filled in the online application themselves as no change will be possible can be made after clicking the Final Submit Button.

Step 2 Upload Images:

Photograph and Signature can be uploaded by using the following procedure. There will be two separate links for uploading Photograph and Signature. Specification for scanning and uploading the photo and signature is given below:

  • Click on the respective link “Upload Photograph/ Signature”
  • If you click on photograph then browse & Select the location where the Scanned Photo file has been saved
  • If you click on photograph then browse & Select the location where the Scanned Signature file has been saved
  • Select the file by clicking on it
  • Now click on upload button
  • You can preview your application form by clicking on the preview tab and can verify the entire details before Final Submit
  • Modify details, if required, and click on “Final Submit Only” after verifying and ensuring that the photograph, signature uploaded and other details are correct

Note: An incomplete application form in any respect (without uploading photo and signature) will be rejected.

Step 3 Edit and Save Data:

A facility is available for editing the uploaded data in the application form. If any candidate is unable to complete the application form in one go then he/ she save the data already entered by choosing "Save and Next" tab. Candidates can modify the data (if required) and also verify the details by clicking on the “Save and Next” button.

Note: Once the data is saved, you cannot change the details in the application form.

Step 4 Application Fee Payments:

The MAH MCA CET 2017 application form is integrated with payment gateway and fee can be paid through online mode. No other mode of payment of fees will be accepted. The payment process can be completed by following the instructions:

  • Click on the payment mode and pay the application fee as given below
  • The payment can be made by using Credit Cards/ Debit Cards (RuPay/ Visa/ MasterCard/ Maestro)/ Internet Banking, Cash Card/ Mobile Wallet/ and IMPS
  • Choose any one of the above methods to pay the application fee
  • Click on “Submit” button
  • After submitting your payment information in the online application form, Please wait for the intimation from the server.
  • Note: Do not press back or refresh button in order to avoid double charge
  • On successful completion of the transaction, an e-Receipt will be generated
  • Candidates must take the printout of the e-receipt and online application form
  • If payment failure, no e-receipt will be generated. If the e-receipt cannot be generated, it means that online transaction may not have been successful
  • On failure of payment, candidates are advised to login again using their Provisional Registration Number and Password and repeat the same process for payment
  • Candidates can take the printout of the filled in application form containing fee details after payment of fees

Note: Incomplete applications form in respect of without fee payment will be rejected. To ensure the security of your data, please close the browser window once your transaction is completed.

For Credit Card Users: All charges are listed in Indian Rupee. If you use a non-Indian credit card, your bank will convert to your local currency based and prevailing exchange rates.

Reasons for Rejection of MAH MCA CET 2017 Application Form:

Due to the following any one of the reason, your MAH MCA CET 2017 Application form will be rejected.

(i). An incomplete application form in any respect without uploading photo and signature

(ii). An incomplete application form in respect of without fee payment will be rejected

(iii). If face of the candidate in the photograph or signature is unclear in the application, it may be rejected

Photo and Signature Specification

Before applying online a candidate will be required to have a scanned (digital) image of his/ her photograph and signature as per the specifications given below.

Photograph Image:

  • You must look straight at the camera with a relaxed face
  • Photograph must be a recent passport style colour picture, taken against a light-coloured, preferably white, Background
  • If you have to use flash, ensure there is no "red-eye"
  • Size of the file should be 20 Kb to 50 Kb
  • Dimension should be 200 x 230 pixels
  • File format must be either in jpeg or jpg format
  • Hats, caps, and dark glasses are not accepted
  • Religious headwear is allowed but it must not cover your face

Note: If the size of the file is more than 50 kb, then adjust the settings of the scanner such as the DPI resolution, number of colours etc., during the process of scanning.

Signature Image:

  • Use a blank white paper with black ink pen for sign
  • Size of the file should be 10 Kb to 20 Kb
  • Dimension should be 140 x 60 pixels
  • File format must be either in jpeg or jpg format
  • Signature must be done only by candidates, not by any other person
  • Signature in the capital letter is not accepted
  • The signature will be used to put on the Hall Ticket and wherever necessary
  • If the Applicant’s signature on the answer script, at the time of the examination, does not match the signature on the admit card, the applicant will be disqualified

Process for Scanning the Photograph & Signature:

  • Set the scanner resolution to a minimum of 200 dpi (dots per inch)
  • Set Color to True Color
  • Crop the image in the scanner to the edge of the photograph/signature, then use the upload editor to crop the image to the final size (as mentioned above)
  • The image file format can be checked by listing the folder files or moving the mouse over the file image icon
  • Candidates using MS Windows/ MS Office can easily obtain photo and signature in .jpeg format not exceeding 50 KB (for photo) and 20 KB (for Signature) respectively by using MS Paint or MS Office Picture Manager
  • Scanned photograph and signature in any format can be saved in .jpg format by using ‘Save As’ option in the File menu and size can be reduced below 50 KB (photograph) and 20 KB (signature) by using crop and then resize option in the ‘Image’ menu. Similar options are available in other photo editor also
  • If the file size and format are not as prescribed, an error message will be displayed

MAH MCA CET 2017 Exam Centers

MAH MCA CET 2017 exam will be conducted at the various cities of Maharashtra State as well as some city of other state. MAH MCA CET aspirants can write their exam from anywhere in India. This exam will be conducted on March 27, 2017 around 25 exam cities across the country. Each centre may have many venues.

Process for Allotment of MAH MCA CET 2017 Exam Center

  • Competent authority reserves the right to allocate and change the centre and venue
  • MAH MCA CET 2017 exam venue will be given on the MAH MCA CET Admit Card
  • Any change regarding to exam date/ centre/ venue and time shall not be entertained
  • Competent authority can allot the candidates to any center other than she/ he has opted for
  • Competent Authority, however, reserves the right to cancel any of the Examination Centres and/ or add some other Centres, at its discretion, depending upon the response, administrative feasibility, etc.
  • Choice of centre once exercised by the candidate will be final.
  • Candidate will appear for the examination at an Examination Centre at his/her owns risks and expenses
  • Competent Authority will not be responsible for any injury or losses etc. of any nature

Note: If sufficient number of candidates does not opt for a particular centre for "Online" examination, Competent Authority reserves the right to allot any other adjunct centre to those candidates OR if the number of candidates is more than the capacity available for online exam for a centre, Competent Authority reserves the right to allot any other centre to the candidate.

MAH MCA CET 2017 Forget Password

If any candidate forgot his/ her login password of MAH MCA CET 2017, don’t worry it can be easily retrieved by following some steps. For this you must have either access of your email id (entered at the time of registration) or Mobile number (also entered at the time of form filling). Ques1. What should I do if there is lot of delay in accessing the page?

Ans: Speed for Registration of Online Application on Internet, is based on various factors like Internet Speed, large number of applicants trying to register the application at the same time etc. Therefore if you are not able to get the pages for registration immediately, please retry after a gap of 15 minutes or during off-peak hours during the night.

Ques2 How do I know that my application is registered?

Ans: Successful Registration is indicated by the Page displayed after clicking the Submit Button indicating the generated "Registration Number" and "Password". Please note down the same carefully and preserve it. If you do not preserve it, you will not be able to Re-Print the Application and download the Call Letter.

Ques3. I did not receive the email intimation for registration of my application?

Ans: "Registration Number" and "Password" are also sent by auto-response Confirmation emails. Delivery of these emails purely depends upon the correctness of E-Mail ID provided, Policy of your E-Mail Service Provider to accept and Divert such emails under Bulk or Spam Mails or bounce back such mails without accepting it due to heavy number of emails generated by our Applications. In case of Govt./official /company Email Ids, delivery is controlled by your Company Policies. Therefore, please do not expect replies from us, if you do not receive such confirmation / auto-response Emails.

Ques4. How do I re-confirm that my application is saved?

Ans: In case of doubt about the successful Registration, candidates are advised to visit the Page for Re-Print of Application, generate the Printout and preserve the soft copy and hard copy (printout) of the Application.

Ques5. I got Blank / Zero Registration Number after submission of application on-line?

Ans: In rare cases Candidates may get Zero (0) Registration Number with valid Password. Candidates are advised to Re-Register the Application and check the Printout through Re-Print Application.

Ques6. After filling up the complete form I got Blank Screen/ Internet got disconnected/ My PC closed/ hanged/ shutdown. Is my application saved/ registered?

Ans: In case of doubt about the successful Registration, candidates are advised to visit the Page for Re-Print of Application, generate the Printout and preserve the soft copy and hard copy (printout) of the Application. If you do not get the application printout through Re-Print option, your application is not saved. Please re-apply.

Ques7. I did not receive the acknowledgement/ reply to my email communication?

Ans: "Reply to" Email Id for the Application is created for the convenience of the Candidates for genuine communications. Please do not use this address to send back the emails for "Acknowledgment", "Vacation Mail", "Friendship Offers", "Sales Offers" etc. Our Email Server is configured to delete such emails automatically.

Ques8. What details should I retain while replying to auto-response emails?

Ans: While writing back by replying the confirmation emails for genuine problem; please retain the text containing "Registration Number" and "Password" details on the email.

Ques9. What details should I provide while writing for the problem?

Ans: Please do not forget to provide following details while writing to us: (1) Registration Number (2) Mobile Number (3) Date of Birth & (4) Full Name as entered in application. In case of application failure or any error message, we would like to have the screenshot of the error in JPG, GIF format or as MS Word file.

Additionally, you may provide the PC Details including the Operating System (like Windows XP, Vista, Linux etc.) & Internet Browser & version (like Internet Explorer 6.0, Mozilla 3.0, Firefox 3.5 etc.) used.

Ques10. I want to change / correct the details I entered in the Application?

Ans: Prior to submission of the online application, please choose the 'EDIT' option to correct the details. Please remember to take fresh print out after modifying any details. Candidate should note that the data entered in Basic Info cannot be modified.
