Haryana LEET 2017 Exam Pattern

The HLEET (Haryana Lateral Entry Entrance Test) is conducted annually by the Haryana Technical Education Society in the month of May/June for providing admissions in the second-year/third semester of Bachelor of Engineering (B.E)/Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) in the technical institutions of Haryana.

It is a state level screening test, the forms for which will be on April 04, 2017 to May 18, 2017. HLEET 2017 Application Process extends till the third week of May.

HLEET is a common online entrance test conducted for students of all streams of Engineering (Engg.)/Technology diploma holders seeking admission to the B.E/B.Tech courses through lateral entry.

HLEET 2017 Exam Pattern

The HLEET is a ninety-minute entrance test having ninety objective type multiple-choice questions to be answered on various topics, divided into four sections. An added advantage to the candidates is that there is no negative marking.

Pattern/Scheme Of Examination for Each Section

Section A

The Section A has questions based on Basic Sciences. It is basically divided into 5 sub sections namely Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Communication Skills and General Awareness. Each section has different number of questions with different weightage.

Section B

The Section B of the HLEET 2017 includes questions based on Electronic Stream Courses. The section is divided into 3 sub sections namely Elements of Electrical Engineering, Elements of Electronics Engineering and Elements of Computer Engineering. Each sub section has different number of questions with variable weightage.

Section C

The Section C comprises of questions based on Mechanical Stream Courses. There are three sub sections with different number of questions and weightage for each section varies. The sections are namely Elements of Mechanical Engineering, Elements of Production Engineering/Manufacturing processes and Auto Engineering.

Section D

Instructions for Appearing in the Test

  • Candidates are required to report at the allotted center of the test thirty minutes before the start of the test on the assigned date and time.
  • Fifteen minutes will be given to the candidates for filling up their details during the test.
  • The candidate may seek the invigilator’s help in case of any problem regarding acquaintance of system allotted to him/her.
  • The candidate is prohibited fro carrying any books, papers, log tables, cellular devices/phones, calculators, digital diaries, pagers inside the examination hall.
  • The candidate must bring two printed copies of the admit card with photographs attested by gazette officer along with one valid id proof (with the candidate’s photograph) for verification by the invigilator at the test center.
  • The admit cards of the candidates should be signed by the invigilator on duty and one of the admit cards must retained by the candidate.        He/She is required to keep the same safely.
  • It is mandatory for the all the candidates to bring their admit cards failing which they will be debarred from taking the entrance test.

Note: If any candidate is found guilty of the breach of rules or using unfair means, he/she will be punished by the competent authority including cancellation of his/her candidature.
