KMAT Eligibility Criteria is defined by Karnataka Private Post Graduate Colleges Association (KPPGCA). It is the conducting body of Karnataka Management Aptitude Test (KMAT). Through this exam, candidates can get admissions to MBA/ PGDM and MCA Programs offered in Bangalore and Karnataka. It is important for candidates to go through the eligibility standards before applying for KMAT 2017.

For the academic session 2017-18, KMAT 2017 is scheduled for July 30, 2017. It is conducted in offline mode with objective type questions. As for the marking scheme, each question carries 1 mark and there is no provision of negative marking. Check KMAT Exam Pattern
Through KMAT Scores, candidates can get admissions to MBA/ PGDM or MCA programs offered at various colleges in Bangalore and Karnataka. The conducting body has defined minimum requisite eligibility standards that need to be satisfied to fill in the form. Listed below are the standards which will indicate if they can appear for KMAT 2017:
KMAT 2017 Reservation Policy is decided as per the UGC guidelines. The various KMAT 2017 Reserved categories are mentioned below:
The candidates belonging to the Scheduled Caste (SC) are provided 15% Reservation of seats through KMAT 2017. The Scheduled Tribe (ST) is given a seat reservation of 7.5% through KMAT 2017. The Other Backward Classes (OBC) have a Reservation of 27% through KMAT 2017. The Persons with Disabilities are given 3% horizontal reservation in each category.

Note: Candidates with Low Vision/ Blindness, Hearing Impairment, and Locomotor Disability/ Cerebral Palsy can claim KMAT 2017 Reservation under Persons with Disabilities (PwD).
The registration window for KMAT 2017 becomes functional from May 20, 2017. It is important to fill in the form before the registration process closes i.e. July 16, 2017. As of now, there is no provision of form correction by KPPGCA. So, one must carefully provide all the information properly and review it before submitting.
Mentioned below are the steps that should be followed to register for KMAT 2017:
Step 1: Visit KMAT Official Website i.e.kmatindia.com.
Step 2: Scroll down and following tab will appear, as highlighted below
Step 3: Click on ‘Apply Now for KMAT 2017’ tab.
Step 4: A new page will appear, it will provide instructions related to KMAT Application Form. One must go through all the instructions thoroughly so as to avoid committing mistakes while filling Application Form of KMAT.
Step 5: After reading the instructions, now click on ‘Register’ tab and fill all the required details.
Step 6: After filling all details, click on ‘Submit’ tab. Candidates will then be issued a ‘Reference Number’. It will be sent to the mobile number and email ID as mentioned at the time of applying.
Step 7: Next, re-login using the reference number and DOB in order to fill the form.
After providing these credentials, candidates will be redirected to a new window. Here, they are required to fill in final KMAT Application Form.
Note: Candidate registering for MBA/PGDM and MCA both will be required to register separately for each course. For each program, a separate admit card will be issued. Candidates are required to present respective admit cards for KMAT 2017 exams. Candidates are advised to carry a hard copy of completed application form to the Test Centre.
