KEAM 2017 Application Form

KEAM 2017 Application Form is now available and must be submitted by March 09, 2017. Those candidates who wish to appear for KEAM 2017 should complete the Application Form on the official website of CEE, Kerala before the deadline. KEAM 2017 is scheduled from April 24 and 25, 2017. There will be 2 Papers for engineering. Paper 1 will consist of Physics and Chemistry while Paper 2 will be of Mathematics.

The candidates can download the KEAM Admit Card from the official website after March 28, 2017 onwards. In this article below, the aspirants of KEAM 2017 can find the complete details of KEAM 2017 Application Form, KEAM Admit Card, the list of KEAM courses and other related information.

KEAM 2017 Application Fee

The KEAM Application fee varies for different categories. The fees can be paid through online mode with the help of a Security Card or through offline mode by sending a Demand Draft along with the application form. The fee for different categories is given below:

NOTE: The Scheduled Tribe category candidates need not pay the application fee. However, candidates opting for Dubai as their examination center will have to pay a fee of Rs.12000/- through a Demand Draft drawn on a Nationalized Bank, in favor of the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations, payable at Thiruvananthapuram along with the printout of the application. In case the additional fee is not paid, they will have to appear for the test in one of the centers located in this country.

Mode of Payment

The candidate can pay the fee for KEAM entrance through two methods. The following information will help the candidate to choose the mode of payment:

Online: The fee can be submitted in online mode using the Credit/Debit Card or Internet Banking. The candidates have to click on the ‘Payment’ tab and choose the online mode of payment. Fill the card details asked (if you choose payment through Debit Card/Credit Card) or bank details asked (if you choose internet banking). After successful payment of application fee, candidates receive a confirmation message mentioning ‘Payment Successful’. In the case of an unsuccessful transaction, pay the application again. If the transaction is shown unsuccessful but the amount has been debited from your account, then the debited amount will be reverted to the bank account within 5-7 days.

E-challan: The fee can be paid in cash at various branches of State Bank of Travancore in India or any Post office in Kerala. Candidates have to initially download the e-challan available on the official website and fill the details asked. The candidate has to pay the fee in cash along with the service charge and must retain the candidate’s copy from the bank/post office. The candidates must sign their copy and check that the bank/PO official has mentioned Payment ID and bank stamp on their copy. The Payment tab turns green on successful payment. In case of unsuccessful payment, contact the bank/PO immediately and get the payment status updated.

How to fill KEAM 2017 Application Form

The KEAM Application Form is available in online mode. The mode of KEAM Application Fee payment is either online or offline. The online application form is available on the CEE KEAM Official Website. The candidates should follow the steps given below in order to complete the KEAM 2017 Application Form.

Step 1: Candidate Registration

The candidates have to first register themselves in the CEE Kerala examination portal for KEAM 2017. They need to enter their primary details like name, date of birth, email id, password and security question.

  1. Name: Give Name of Applicant as mentioned in the SSLC or other relevant certificates. But the name should not start with the initial. (Correct examples are SREEJITH R S or ARUN G NAIR) Do not put a dot (.) between initials and name. Instead, provide a blank space.
  2. Date of Birth: Provide applicant’s Date of Birth as in birth certificate or other relevant certificates. Proof of date of birth must be submitted along with the application. Select the Day, Month and Year of birth from the screen.
  3. Email id: Provide your own valid email id. Keep this email id live and secure until the end of the admission process of KEAM 2017. If you do not have an email id, create a new email id before applying online.
  4. Mobile phone number: Give the 10 digit number of the candidate or the parent’s mobile phone. The number should not be prefixed with country code or zero. The mobile number provided will facilitate the authority of the CEE KEAM to communicate any information through SMS or via call.
  5. Password: A strong password is recommended. It ensures the safety of candidates’ online activities. The requirements of a strong password are:
  • Minimum length should be 8 characters
  • Contains at least one alphabet [a to z or A to Z]
  • Contains at least one number [0 to 9]
  • Contains at least one special character [! @ # $ % ^ & *]
  1. Retype your password: Repeat the same password entered in the previous field for confirmation of the Password.
  2. Security question and answer: Choose a question from the list provided on the page and give your own answer to it. Make sure to note down the answer safely.

  1. Type the code in the box: This is a captcha. Provide the same numbers as in the screen. After completing all fields correctly, Press the ‘Register’ button. If you have successfully completed the registration process, a ‘Candidate Registration confirmation’ page will be displayed. Having verified all the information, the candidates have to press 'Confirm'. If the candidates want to change any information, press 'Edit' for correcting the data. Candidate will get a system generated Application Number for KEAM 2017 session. Write down the KEAM 2017 Application number and remember your password for future login to apply online, to view the KEAM Results, to exercise option registration, to get KEAM Allotment memo etc.

After submitting all details successfully, a confirmation window will appear with the KEAM Application number of the Registered Candidate. Note down the KEAM 2017 Application number carefully for all future reference.

Step 2: Candidate Login

Once the candidate has successfully registered, the KEAM examination portal will issue an application number. With the help of the application number and the password, the candidate can then log in to fill the other necessary details in the KEAM Application Form.

  1. Application number: In order to log in, enter your Application Number provided by the system at the time of registration.
  2. Password: The password must be typed exactly as provided at the time of registration. Remember that the password is case sensitive.
  3. Type the code in the box: Type the numbers exactly as shown on the screen to log in.

The online portal directs the candidates to the Home page. From the home page, they can navigate to different pages such as Fill-up application, Payment of Application fee, Print Application, Change your Password and Download Proformas. For filling up details in the form, select ‘Fill-up Application’.

Step 3: Fill-up the KEAM 2017 Application Form

  1. Uploading Photograph:

The first step for filling up the application for KEAM 2017 is to upload applicant’s recent passport size photograph. The guidelines for scanning and uploading the photograph are detailed below:

For applying online, the candidates must have the scanned/digital image of his/her photograph. The Specification of photograph image should be as follows:

  • The photograph should be of passport size format. Front view of full face and shoulder portion of the candidate must be seen clearly in the photograph.
  • The face of the candidate should be straight and at the center.
  • The photograph must be in color with a light color background, white is preferable.
  • Photo wearing caps and dark glasses will be rejected.
  • The scanned image file should be in jpg (jpeg) format only.
  • Dimensions of the photograph 150 pixels width and 200 pixels height.
  • The size of the image file should be between 15 kb and 30 kb.
  • The name of the candidate and the date on which the photo was taken should be printed at the bottom portion of the photograph with black letter and white background.

Procedure for Uploading Photograph

  • For uploading the photograph, click the 'Fill-up Application' button on the homepage.
  • Under the section named ‘Upload Your Recent Photo’, click on ‘Browse’ and select the location where the scanned photograph file has been saved.
  • 'Open' the photo file after clicking on it. The file details will be displayed on the screen.
  • If it is correct click the 'Upload' button. If the jpg file has specified size and dimensions, the selected photograph will be uploaded.
  • Remember, a printed copy of the uploaded photo should be affixed at the specified place in the printout of the application and get it duly attested.

Fill-up Basic information

All the basic information required for processing the KEAM Application Form are to be filled in at this stage. It is obligatory that the candidate should fill all the mandatory items in the application.

The applicant should fill the following particulars:

  1. Course opted for.
  2. Center of examination.
  3. Name of the applicant.
  4. Date of birth.
  5. Gender.
  6. Citizenship.
  7. Nativity.
  8. State of permanent residence.
  9. Aadhaar UID
  10. Parent details.
  11. Religion.
  12. Permanent address.
  13. Contact details: address for communication, contact telephone numbers
  14. Details of qualifying examination
  15. Subject studied for higher secondary and equivalent
  16. Studied Sanskrit at 10+2 level
  17. Details of community: reservation under Socially and Educationally Backward Classes, Jewish community, SC/ST, other eligible community, communities eligible for educational concessions as is given to OEC.
  18. Are you a child of Inter-caste married couple of whom one is either SC/ST
  19. Whether SC/ST claim rejected previously?
  20. Details of Income Certificate
  21. Do you claim Special Reservation?
  22. Reservation for Persons with Disabilities (PD)

Once the details are filled, they must press “SAVE and PREVIEW”. This application form can be modified at any point of time by logging in.

Step 4: Final Submission of KEAM 2017 Application Form

The candidate should check all the details before clicking the link “Final Submission”. The candidate will not be allowed to make any further changes once this step is completed.

Step 5: Payment of Fees

The next step is to pay the fees. The mode of payment can be either through online mode, i.e. through Security Card or offline through Demand Draft.

Step 6: Print Application

The next step is to take a print out of the KEAM 2017 Application form and the Course Certificate and Nativity Certificate provided in the application form.

Step 7: Print out and Send the KEAM 2017 Application Form

The candidate must then send the print out of the application form. It should be affixed with a passport size photograph of the applicant which must be duly attested by the Head of the institution last attended or by a Gazetted Officer. The candidate should also affix the left-hand thumb impression in the space provided.

The applicant and the parent should sign in the space provided in the form and attach the required documents. They have to send it to the Office of the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations, 5th Floor, Housing Board Buildings, Santhi Nagar, Thiruvananthapuram – 695 001 through registered post/speed post/ hand delivery before the deadline i.e. January 29, 2017.

The applicants have to send the following enclosures with the KEAM Application Form:

  1. Proof for Nativity.
  2. Self-Attested copy of the relevant page of the SSLC or equivalent certificate to prove date of birth, in case Date of Birth is not certified in the Course Certificate issued by the Head of the Institution, in the Application.
  3. Course Certificate in original duly filled in with signature and seal of the Head of the Institution in which the candidate is studying OR Self Attested copy of the final year mark list of the qualifying examination.
  4. Non-Creamy Layer Certificate in the prescribed format in original from the concerned Village Officer for community reservation claims in the case of SEBC/OEC candidates.
  5. Community Certificate in original from the concerned Tahsildar in the case of SC/ST candidates.
  6. Original certificates as proof in support of any claim for special reservation.
  7. Inter-Caste marriage certificate in original from the concerned Village Officer, if applicable. Self-attested copy of Medical certificate from the District Medical Board in the case of ‘Persons with disabilities’ [PD].
  8. Self-attested copies of mark lists of the BSc. Degree Examination and Higher Secondary or equivalent Examination with Physics, Chemistry and Biology as optional subject (in case of those seeking admission to Medical courses)

How to Retrieve Application No. or Password

If in case the candidate fails to remember the application number or the password which is required at the time of the log in, then the details can be retrieved through the following process:

  1. Go to Candidate log in page.

  1. Select ‘Forgot Application No.’
  2. Enter the name, date of birth and password to retrieve the application number.

  1. Select ‘Forgot Password’ link.
  2. To reset the password, enter the name, date of birth, security question chosen while registering and the security answer.

  1. Once the details are entered, the candidate is redirected to a page where the password can be easily reset.

If the candidate is unable to reset the password or regain the Key number using the online method, he/she can visit an OFC with the Admit Card and submit the filled in form for requesting password reset or Key number, as the case may be.

KEAM Application Form Status

Once the candidate has completed the online procedure for filling the KEAM 2017 Application Form and sent by post to the given address, the candidate can check the status of their application online. Once the candidate logs in using the application number and password, the status of the received application can be checked by seeing the color of the ‘Received by CEE’ on the right-hand corner of the page. If the color is green, then the application is received, however, if the color is red then the application is not yet received by CEE KEAM. Also, the candidates will receive a text message on their registered mobile number
