JEMAT 2017

JEMAT 2017 (Joint Entrance Management Aptitude Test 2017) is a test conducted by the Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology, West Bengal. This is a screening for aspirants seeking admissions into various MBA/PG Diploma/MHA courses offered by the participating institutes.

  • Candidates can visit the official website and fill up the JEMAT Application Form. Candidates also need to upload photograph and signature in specified format.
  • Along with the application, candidate must pay the requisite application form fee in the form of Demand Draft drawn in favor of ‘WBUT-JEMAT’ payable at Kolkata.
  • The application, DD and copies of other necessary documents must be sent to the University via post.
  • Candidates must download JEMAT 2017 Admit Card from the website as this will not be sent via post or other means.
  • JEMAT is 100-mark test conducted for 2 hours.
  • There are three sections, namely, English, Mathematics and Logical Reasoning.
  • 1 mark is awarded for every right response and 0.25 marks are deducted for every wrong answer.

JEMAT Results 2017 will be declared in the official website. Candidates can view and download their JEMAT 2017 Score Card by entering their application number and password. Candidates must attend the counselling session with all the required documents to complete the admission process.

JEMAT 2017 Eligibility

Applicants must go through JEMAT 2017 Eligibility Criteria given below carefully. Candidates who do not meet all the JEMAT 2017 eligibility criteria shall be disqualified.

  • Candidate must have completed Undergraduation degree from any recognized University.
  • They should have secured a minimum of 50% aggregate marks in their undergraduate program.
  • Aspirants in their final year of Graduation are also eligible to apply. However, they must provide the final year mark sheet at the time of admission.

How to Apply for JEMAT 2017?

Candidates can apply for JEMAT 2017 in online mode only. The last date to apply is July 7, 2017. They can follow the below steps to apply for JEMAT 2017: -

  • Visit the official website.
  • Candidates have to read the ‘Notice’ issued carefully and check if they fulfill all the required eligibility criteria.
  • They must have high quality scanned images of their passport size photograph (20kb-100kb, .jpg format) and signature (20kb-100kb, .jpg format) before starting the application procedure.
  • Candidates must then proceed to carefully fill in all the details that are asked in the application form. It must be noted that there is no scope for modifications in the details given once the application is submitted.
  • Upon successful submission of the application, an application number is generated. This application is also sent via email and SMS to the registered email ID and mobile number.
  • Applicants must take a print out of the filled application and send it along with the DD to the address given below. Along with the application and DD, candidates are requested to send attested copies of 10th mark sheet, 12th mark sheets, and government approved unique photo ID and other certificates.
  • JEMAT 2017 Application fee is INR 600/- for General/OBC category candidates and INR 300/-  for SC/ST category candidates.

JEMAT 2017 Application Fee

Candidates have to pay the requisite JEMAT 2017 Application Fee to complete the application procedure. Payment of application fee can only be done via Demand Draft drawn in favor of ‘WBUT-JEMAT’ payable at Kolkata.

JEMAT 2017 Admit Card

JEMAT 2017 Admit Card will be available in the official website from July 10, 2017. Candidates must download Admit Card online and this will not be sent to candidates via post or email.

JEMAT 2017 Hall Ticket is a mandatory document and candidates who fail to bring their Admit Card to the examination center shall not be allowed to enter the examination hall.

JEMAT 2017 Exam Pattern

There are three sections that constitute JEMAT, namely English, Mathematics and Logical Reasoning.

  • English and Mathematics section comprise of 40 questions each while the logical reasoning section comprises of 20 questions.
  • Each question is worth 1 mark.
  • Every wrong response attracts a negative making of 0.25.
  • The total duration of the examination is 2 hours.

JEMAT 2017 Result

JEMAT 2017 Results will be declared in the official website within 1 week of completion of the examination. It is scheduled to be declared around July 21, 2017.  The steps to check JEMAT 2017 Result are given below: 

  • Go to the official website.
  • Click on the “JEMAT 2017 Results”.
  • Enter your Application Number and Password.
  • View and download “JEMAT 2017 Score Card”.
  • Take a printout of “JEMAT 2017 Score Card” for future reference.

JEMAT 2017 Counselling

Candidates who score above orequal to qualifying marks in JEMAT 2017 will be called for the counselling process. They must produce the following documents at the time of reporting for JEMAT 2017 Counselling: -

  1. JEMAT 2017 Admit Card
  2. JEMAT 2017 Score Card
  3. 10th Mark sheet (as proof of Date of Birth)
  4. 12th Mark sheet
  5. Graduation Mark Sheet (provisional mark sheet in case candidates have appeared for qualifying examination that year)
  6. Call letter
  7. Caste/Community Certificate (if applicable)
