JEE Main Form Correction 2017 is a one-time facility provided by CBSE for making corrections in the JEE Main Application Form, in the case of any discrepancy in the information. Candidates can make changes in the details such as name, date of birth, address, contact information and uploaded scanned images.
The form correction facility starts from January 25 and end by February 03, 2017. The corrections has to be done online at jeemain.nic.in. Candidates have to visit the official website and access their JEE Main application form using login credentials.
Candidates might have to remit a certain application fee while making the changes in JEE Main Application Form. In case an additional fee is to be paid, it can be paid through the debit card/credit card or E-Challan in Canara/ICICI/HDFC/Syndicate bank by February 04, 2017.

This year, CBSE has decided to allow candidates to make changes in the mode of examination and examination city as well. Candidates must keep the requisite documents ready in advance for making changes in the JEE Main application form. CBSE will not consider the request made for corrections after the due date under any circumstances.

Candidates can check below the steps to correct the discrepancy in JEE Main Application Form. It is just a one-time facility so candidate must complete all the details carefully.
Visit the official website within the JEE Main form correction window.
Enter your login credentials: registration ID, password and captcha to correct the particulars in application form.
Edit the data that was not correct (this includes correcting personal details, uploaded photograph, signature and thumb impression).
Submit the corrected JEE Main application form. The corrections made will be updated immediately if no additional fee is to be paid.
NOTE: In case an additional fee is to be paid, pay the fee through the debit card/credit card or E-Challan in Canara/ICICI/HDFC/Syndicate bank from January 25 to February 03, 2017.

Facility to make corrections in the images uploaded in JEE Main 2017 Application Form is available till January 31, 2017 on the official site. Read below mentioned steps for making image corrections in the application form:
Firstly, take a print out of your already filled in JEE Main application form, then mark all things you need to update, For example you need to update your date of birth and your scanned photograph in which you have put goggles which was not allowed as per the specifications mentioned.
Then take out the related document you want confirm, for example, in this case take out your 10th marksheet, check your date of birth, confirm it twice and then update. Similarly in case of photograph take out brochure and cross-check your photographs with all the specifications written there, after that scan it and also make sure the size and width matches the dimensions provided in prospectus only then upload it again.
When you make an update in JEE Main Application Form in the correction period in gender detail from female to male which you have mistakenly marked during the form filling. In that case your application fee increases by INR 500 as for girls, the application fee is INR 500/- and for boys, it is INR 1000/-. Now you need to pay the unpaid amount, it will automatically direct you to a page indicating the extra amount you have to pay. Choose your mode of payment through credit card/net banking or e-challan and pay it.
However, if due to any update your application fee decreases then it will be refunded back to your correspondence address that you have provided in the application form.

You can edit your personal details such as mode of examination, choice of paper, choice of examination city, name, date of birth, your academic details, your uploaded photograph and signature during the JEE Main form correction window. You can also change mode of examination from Pen & Paper based test to Computer Based Test but not from CBT to Offline mode.
Ans. CBSE has declared in the notice released that if due to changes made by you there is change in the amount you have deposited then it will be refunded back to you on your correspondence address.

As per the latest notification of CBSE, candidates can correct all the particulars if they have made any mistakes while filling up the JEE Main Application Form before the last date of submission. The correction window will let candidates to rectify the details only once. No, changes will be allowed after the details are finally submitted.
Ans. Candidates cannot edit the change in the mode of examination from Computer Based Test to Pen & Paper Based Test in the JEE Main 2017 Application Form. However, the vice versa is possible.
