JEE Advanced 2018 Result (June 10 @jeeadv.ac.in)

JEE Advanced 2018 Result will be declared on June 10 (10:00 IST) at jeeadv.ac.in. by IIT Kanpur. Category-wise All India Ranks (AIR) of successful candidates will be available through the online portal after the results are declared. Text messages will also be sent to the candidates to their registered mobile numbers.

The result is announced in the form of individual rank cards. Candidates can simply enter their Registration Number and Date of Birth to view their JEE Advanced rank and marks. Candidates who appeared in both the papers will only be considered for Common Rank List (CRL).

 

JEE Advanced 2018 is scheduled for May 20, 2018. From 2018, top 2,24,000 All India Rank holders will qualify for the next stage – JEE Advanced. JEE Mains 2018 Results is tentatively scheduled to be released on  April 28, 2018.


JEE Advanced Result – Important Dates

JEE Advanced Result 2018 will be declared online. After the declaration of JEE Advanced Result 2018, the process for AAT 2018 will begin. Refer to the below table to learn about all important JEE Advanced Result Dates:

How to Check JEE Advanced 2018 Results?

Candidates can check their result after the notification is displayed on the official site. Following are the procedures which the candidates need to check the IIT Result 2018:

  • Visit the official website of JEE Advance to check the rank. The results will be declared on the official website.
  • Log into the account using the application form number and Date of Birth. 
  • Download the result and keep it for further usage. The next step will involve the candidates to appear for counselling at allotted colleges.

Details Present in JEE Advanced Result 2018

JEE Advance 2018 Result would be declared by the IIT Madras on or after June 12, 2018. Candidates will have to submit their application for counselling. Following are the particulars indicated JEE Advanced 2018 Result:

  • JEE Advanced 2018 Registration Number
  • JEE Advanced 2018 Roll Number
  • Common Rank List (CRL) Rank/Status of Qualifying
  • Score in all 3 sections
  • Total score in JEE Advanced 2018

JEE Advanced Score Calculation

Only candidates who have appeared for both the papers of JEE Advanced, will be considered for Common Rank List (CRL). Marks obtained in Paper 1 and Paper 2 will be taken while the rank is calculated by the concerned authorities. The example is mentioned below:

Marks obtained in Physics = Marks obtained in Paper 1 (Physics) + Marks obtained in Paper 2 (Physics)

Similar method will be used for calculating total marks for Mathematics and Chemistry. The aggregate marks for JEE Advanced 2018 will be calculated using the following formula:

Aggregate Marks/Scores obtained in JEE Advanced = Aggregate marks in (Physics + Mathematics + Chemistry)

The rank list of JEE Advanced 2018 will be prepared based on the aggregate marks obtained by the candidates in the entrance examination. Only candidates who score the minimum prescribed marks in each subject and in aggregate will be included in the rank list.


JEE Advanced Answer Key

The responses of the candidates who have appeared for both papers will be electronically mailed to their registered email ids. The answer keys will be displayed on the online portal by May 29, 2018 at jeeadv.ac.in.

IIT Kanpur will also allow candidates to send feedback on answer keys through the portal.

JEE Advanced 2018 Cut-off

JEE Advanced cut off is the score of the candidate with lowest rank who will be accepted by IITs for the admission. IITs also prefer Minimum Qualifying Marks for Ranking (MQMR) which is the minimum scores for JEE Advanced, required to be eligible for including in JEE Advanced Common Rank List.

The cut off marks for PwD candidates will be the same as the lowest of the cut off marks for GEN, OBC-NCL, SC and ST categories. The minimum percentage of marks prescribed for inclusion in the rank list are elucidated in the following table:

JEE ADVANCED 2018 Counselling

Joint Admission Board (JAB) led by the organising IIT will be carrying out the counselling procedure for selection of candidates into the IITs and other affiliated institutes. The candidates will be allotted the college and branch as per their choice but in accordance with their AIR.

For that the candidates will have to wait for the declaration of the AIR and the counselling procedure will commence in the first week of July 2018. JEE Advanced Counselling is centrally managed computerized process and candidates need to report directly to allotted colleges. 

Eligibility Criteria for JEE Advanced counselling and seat allotment

  • The candidates should note that the counselling will be conducted to only those candidates whose rank will acceptable and under the ambit of the rank released by various colleges.
  • They are required to have obtained at least 75% aggregate marks in class 12th or equivalent board exam. For candidates belonging to SC, ST and PwD categories, the aggregate marks required for admission is 65%.
  • For admission to IITs, the candidates must be within the category-wise top 20 percentile of successful candidates in their respective class 12th or equivalent board exam.

JEE Advanced AAT 2018

Post declaration of JEE Advanced Result, desired candidates must register for Architecture Aptitude Test 2018 at jeeadv.ac.in. Only candidates who have qualified in JEE Advanced can register for AAT.

  • The registration date for AAT 2018 is June 10 – 11, 2018.
  • Architecture Aptitude Test is scheduled for June 14, 2018.
  • AAT Results will be declared on June 18, 2018.
  • There is no separate ranking and cut off in AAT.
  • The allotment of seats will be carried out on category-wise All India Ranks in JEE Advanced 2018.
