JEE Advanced Counselling 2017 will begin on June 15, 2017 as per the scheduled released on josaa.nic.in. The counselling will be conducted completely in online mode. No intimation about the allotted college will be sent by e-mail/SMS or post. Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) conducts JEE Advanced Counselling and Seat Allotment 2017.

CHECK COMPLETE JOSAA COUNSELLING SCHEDULE
The result for JEE Advanced is going to be declared on June 11, 2017 on the official website of JEE Advanced. Candidates can check their result by entering their JEE Advanced 2017 roll number, date of birth and security key. JEE Advanced Result will contain the All India Rank (AIR) and Category Rank of successful candidates.
Candidates need to secure minimum prescribed marks in each subject and in aggregate to appear in the JEE Advanced 2017 Merit list. The category wise minimum cut of marks list is mentioned below in the table for reference of all the candidates.

Candidates who qualify in JEE Advanced only will be allowed to participate in JEE Advanced 2017 Counselling for admission to various UG courses offered by IITs and ISM Dhanbad. However, these candidates should fulfill the following eligibility criteria to take part in the counselling and seat allotment process.

Counselling and seat allotment process for JEE Advanced will begin from June 15, 2017. The first round of seat allocation will be held on June 28, 2017. The counselling process can be broadly divided into following steps:
The seat allotment process would be conducted by Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSSA) which was formed in 2015 by the collaboration of Central Seat Allocation Board (CSAB) and Joint Admission Board (JAB) for conducting seat allocation procedure for the academic programs offered by IITs/ NITs/ ISM/ IIITs and other GFTIs for the academic year 2016-17.
Candidates should go through all the steps of JEE Advanced 2017 Counselling process, discussed below in detail.
Candidates are first required to register online for JEE Advanced 2017 Counselling after fourth week of June, 2017. Candidates need to enter personal details such as JEE Advanced Application number and roll number, DOB and create new User ID and password.
Candidates will have to fill up their choices by logging in using their Registration No (User ID), Roll No and Password to fill their choices as per branch, course and institute preference. They are permitted to change, edit, delete or add new choices until finalizing their choices. Candidates must lock their final choices before the due dates failing which leads to choices are locked automatically.
Applicants can select a maximum of 50 choices during online locking of choices. They are advised to take a print out of their finally submitted choices.

The JEE Advanced 2017 seat allotment would be conducted on the basis of All India Rank (AIR) secured by the candidates in JEE Advanced and the choices filled by them during choice filling and locking. Seat allotment for qualified students has been divided into three categories namely,
The candidates can follow the steps mentioned below to check the status of seat allotment during JEE Advanced 2017 Counselling. The opening and closing ranks for all the categories would vary. Hence, the candidates securing higher in their respective categories will be allotted seats accordingly.
Note: The seat allocation in JEE Advanced 2017 Counselling would be completed within three rounds. All the candidates are therefore advised to check the status after the completion of ever round, as there is a possibility that the seats allotted to them are upgraded because other students have either withdrawn from the course or have accepted seats they prefer.
Candidates are required to report to the Zonal IIT after the seats are allotted to them. All the candidates should be present in person for verification of documents and payment of admission fee. The registration fee for General and reserved categories is mentioned below.

Some of the important points for reporting to allotted centers for taking provisional admission are mentioned below. Candidates who don’t report to the Zonal IIT before the stipulated deadline will not be considered for seat allotment and their seats will be automatically forfeited. In case, the applicants are offered an up gradation, they will have to forfeit the seat allotted to them earlier in order to accept the upgraded seat.
The institutes will issue a final allotment letter and grant provisional admission to candidates after verifying the documents and the fee is paid by the candidate. Candidates who fail to meet any eligibility criteria or are caught providing false information/documents will be debarred from the counselling process and their admission would be immediately deemed cancelled.
Students are required to submit original documents along with one attested photocopy during verification for taking provisional admission.

IIT Gandhinagar offers free counselling for the students who appeared in JEE Advanced. It will help them choosing their preferred engineering branch in IITs. The counselling will be done through IIT Gandhinagar’s Open House Session. IIT Gandhinagar is one of the IITs in India. Students who clear JEE Advanced further get the option to choose an engineering branches. After getting selected, the counselling process begins and the option of choice filling opens.
It is a deal of confusion for the students as well as the parents and sometimes to make the right choice and students often choose the wrong branch for themselves. To help and counsel the students as well as their parents in the counselling procedure of IIT JEE, IITGN has offered a free counselling will be conducted on June 5 and June 18.
