JCECE 2017 Application Form

JCECE 2017 Application Form is available in online or offline mode. For applying online, candidates can visit the official website of JCECE Board i.e, JCECE ICR Application Form 2017 can be downloaded from the ‘Downloads’ tab on the official website.

If you wish to apply offline for the exam, collect the OMR application form from the nearest prescribed post office. The application form can be filled latest by May 5, 2017. The application fee varies for different categories and subject groups. Pay the fee in online mode for online applications while attach a DD in the favor of the JCECE Board for offline applications. 

  • Candidates who wish to apply for BHMS, B.Sc. Agriculture and Forestry and B.V.Sc. & Animal Husbandry have to choose the correct subject group between PCB and PCMB.
  • PCB subject group includes B.V.Sc. & Animal Husbandry and B.Sc. Agriculture and Forestry while for BHMS course choose PCMB subject group.
  • For PCB/PCM group, application fee is INR 900 for General/BC-I/BC-II (INR 450 for SC/ST/Female)
  • For PCMB group, the application fee is INR 1200 for General/BC-I/BC-II (INR 600 for SC/ST/Female
JCECE 2017 Latest Updates

April 16, 2017 – Application form for JCECE 2017 is available from April 14 – May 5, 2017. 

April 03, 2017- For B.Tech/B.E. program, JCECE Board has announced to conduct a separate exam from this year i.e. JEECE 2017. March 31, 2017- It is mandatory to possess an Aadhaar Card to apply for the exam. Candidates who don’t possess the Aadhaar Card must obtain the same from the designated Facilitation Centers before filling the JCECE 2017 Application Form. Know More

JCECE 2017 Registration Dates

Online Applications for JEECE 2017 have been published on the official website of JCECE Board. Candidates have to submit the form latest by May 5, 2017. JCECE 2017 Eligibility Criteria

The candidates planning to apply for JCECE 2017 should satisfy the various eligibility criteria laid down by JCECEB. These criteria are mentioned below in detail, go through it carefully:

Residential Criteria

Candidates must be an Indian National and a local/permanent resident of Jharkhand. They need to submit a domicile certificate in the prescribed format at the time of Counselling. The certificate must be issued by Sub Divisional Officer – (Civil) or Deputy Commissioner of Jharkhand State.

Educational Qualification

The educational qualification criteria vary for Medical, Agriculture and Forestry courses. The criteria is mentioned below for each stream:

MBBS/BDSCandidates should have passed 10+2 or equivalent exams with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English with a minimum aggregate of 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology. (40% for reserved category and 45% for Physically handicapped category).
B.Sc. AgricultureCandidates should have passed 10+2 or equivalent exam with Physics, Chemistry along with Mathematics and Biology.
B.Sc. Forestry
B.V.Sc. & A.H.The minimum qualifying examination is 10+2 or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English with 50% aggregate minimum. (40% for reserved category)
BHMSThe candidate should have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination with English, Chemistry, Physics and Biology.

Age Limit

  • Candidates should have attained the age of 17 years or will attain the same by Dec. 31, 2017 will be eligible for MBBS/BDS/BHMS courses as well as B.V.Sc and A.H. courses.
  • For B.Sc. Agriculture and B.Sc. Forestry courses, the minimum and maximum age limit is 17 years and 22 years respectively. There is an age relaxation of 3 years in upper age limit for candidates of SC/ST category.

Physical Criteria

The JCECEB or the participating institution will conduct the Medical Check-up of all the candidates applying for admission and only fit candidates as per the norms of medical board will be eligible for admission.

JEECE 2017 Eligibility

JEECE 2017 will be conducted for PCM group or admission to B.Tech/B.E course. Only Jharkhand domicile candidates can apply for the exam provided they are 17 years old. Candidate should have passed 10+2 or equivalent with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with Chemistry. They should have secured a minimum total aggregate of 45%, and 40% if, candidates belong to reserved category.

How to Fill JEECE 2017 Application Form

Candidates who wish to apply for B.Tech/B.E program have to fill the JEECE 2017 Application Form. The form can be filled in online mode only. The application fee can also be remitted online i.e. through Debit/Credit card or net banking. The application fee for General/BC-I/BC-II is INR 900 while it is INR 450 for SC/ST/Female candidates.

Candidates must follow the steps given below to fill the JEECE 2017 Application form:

  • Register on the official website by clicking on the link “JEECE 2017 Application Form Submission”
  • Select the course and enter the correct subject type after reading the instructions carefully.
  • Enter your name, father’s name, gender, category, e-mail ID and password and then click Submit
  • Note down the Application ID and Password and then continue filling the form
  • Provide correct personal, academic and communication details asked
  • After that, upload the scanned images of passport sized photo (100 kb), signature and left-hand thumb impression (50 kb each)
  • Proceed with the fee payment after uploading the documents.
  • Submit the form and retain 3-4 printed copies of the form for future use. 

How to Fill JCECE 2017 Application Form?

There are three different modes of applying for JCECE 2017 – Online, ICR Application Form and OMR Application Form from Post Office. Candidates can look at the process for accessing, filling and submitting different modes of JCECE 2017 Application Form.


The candidates can access, “Online Application for JCECE 2017” from the official website of JCECEB, fill in all the required details and upload the required documents. The candidates should keep the following documents ready before applying for JCECE 2017 online.

  • Marks sheet of Intermediate/10+2
  • Scanned Image of Photo
  • Scanned Image of Signature
  • Scanned Image of Left Hand Thumb Impression

Candidates filling JCECE 2017 Application Form through online mode, are not required to submit the hard copy of Application form to the Board Office. However, they must keep 3 or four printouts for future reference.

ICR Application Form

The candidates can access the ICR Application Form, from the “Downloads” section on the Home Page of JCECE Board’s Website. The filled-in Application Form and the requisite Bank Challan/DD should sent to Board’s office.

Mention, “Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination-2017” in bold on the envelope containing Application form. The Application Form should reach the board’s office before the last date of submission. Applications received after the last date are liable to be rejected.

Purchasing the OMR Application Form through Post Office

Candidates can also purchase JCECE 2017 Application form from any Post Office designated by the board. They should attach a DD or IPO of INR 100/-, if they are selecting PCMB group. The Application Form should reach the board’s office before the last date of submission. Applications received after the last date are liable to be rejected. Indicate, “Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination-2017” in bold on the envelope of Application form.

JCECE 2017 Application Fee

Application fee can be paid through Demand Draft, Bank Challan or online through Credit Card/Debit Card/Net Banking depending on the mode of application opted by the candidate. Candidates planning to submit the ICR Application Form downloaded from the official website, need to remit the fee through DD or Bank Challan.

Demand Draft would be drawn in favor of “Controller of Examination, JCECEB”, payable at Ranchi. The Bank challan is attached with the ICR Application Form. Candidates can tender the application through Bank Challan at any Branch of United Bank of India as well as from any bank to Account of United Bank of India. Extra Bank Charges are applicable in case of payment through Bank Challan.

The category wise application fee for JCECE 2017 is indicated in the table below. The exam fee once deposited will not be refunded under any circumstance.

Academic Details

The candidate must enter the qualifying marks in this section to confirm their eligibility. The minimum marks and percentage as per the eligibility of both class 10th and class 12th are required to be filled. So one must carefully check the eligibility before applying. The candidates who are appearing for the class 12th CBSE/I.SC or any equivalent examination have to mention the name of board only in the class 12th column.

The OMR Application Form is purchased against the cash payment form the designated post offices. However, candidates applying through PCMB group should indicate the details of IPO/DD of INR 100/- which would be attached with the Application Form.

The succeeding steps after filling the details are uploading the images required and submission of the correctly verified form.

JCECE 2017 Admit Card

Candidate can download the JCECE 2017 Admit Card from the official website of JCECE Board’s website. The Admit Card will not be dispatched through post or courier. The Admit Card would contain candidate’s Roll Number, Name, Father’s Name, Category, SMQ, PH, Photograph, Date of Birth, Subject Group, Name and Address of JCECE 2017 Exam Center.

If there is any discrepancy in the information of admit card, candidates should notify the board immediately. Candidates will be allowed to appear for exam with the same admit card. The board will take the necessary action later to make correction in their records. The admit card must be safely preserved till the completion of admission process.

JCECE 2017 Exam Centers

The Candidates are required to select two options for appearing in JCECE 2017. JCECE Exam Centers for PCM group are Ranchi, Dumka, Dhanbad, Hazaribagh and Bokaro. JCECE 2017 for PCB and PCMB group would be conducted at Ranchi only.

The Board on their part will made effort to allot the center as per the preferences indicated by the candidate. However, under unforeseen circumstances, Board reserves the right to allot a center other than the preference candidate made by the candidate. The centers are allotted through a computerized process and there is no intervention on the part of the board.
