IAS Mains Application Form will be available from August 17, 2017. Aspirants can apply for the IAS Mains online at the upsc.gov.in. IAS Mains Application Form will be available until first week of September 2017. Aspirants are advised to keep all the documents ready while registering for IAS Mains 2017. In order to avoid last minute rush, aspirants must apply before the last date of IAS Application form. Application Fee for IAS Mains INR 200. The Candidates appearing for UPSC Civil Services Mains examination should fill out the application form at upsc.gov.in. Students who qualify IAS Prelims are invited to apply for UPSC IAS Mains 2017. All IAS Aspirants have to register separately UPSC IAS Mains 2017. Application for IAS Prelims will not be considered for IAS Mains. Application Form for UPSC IAS Mains is open to all the eligible graduates. The following steps should be followed to apply for IAS Mains.

Note: This step is not applicable for candidates who are exempted from paying the fee.
Fee of INR 100 is required for UPSC IAS Prelims Registration. The Fee can be paid either via online or offline mode. Female and SC/ST/PwD candidates are exempted from Fee payment. For IAS Mains, Fee of INR 200 should be paid.

The fee can be paid in both offline and online mode. For offline method of fee payment, the candidate must remit the amount in any Branch of SBI. For online options the candidate can opt either for Net Banking facility or for payment through a debit / credit card.
Candidates paying cash will need to take a print out of the system generated Pay-in-slip. The Pay in Slip is generated during part II of the registration process. Cash must be deposited at the counter of a SBI Branch on the next working day only.
Candidates failing to pay the fee by cash by the closing date, despite having valid pay-in-slip, will have to resort to online modes of fee payment.
Candidates are required to assemble the following documents prior to UPSC IAS 2017 Registration to ensure accurate and correct data. Any mismatch between the actual information and the registered information will result in cancellation of candidature
Following pointers should be kept in mind while registering for UPSC IAS Mains. It is of utmost importance to follow the mentioned instructions.
IAS Mains 2017 Admit Card will be available for download prior two weeks of IAS Exam. Aspirants can download IAS Admit Card from the Official website of UPSC. No admit card will be delivered through Post. The exam will be conducted on multiple dates starting from October 28, 2017. IAS Mains Admit Card contains important details such as the candidate’s name, roll number, photograph, date and venue of exam and test timing.
The admit card is the primary document that needs to be carried on the day of the exam and must be kept safe. Without the hall ticket, entry inside the test centre will not be allowed. Along with Admit Card, a valid Photo ID must be presented along with IAS Mains 2017 Admit Card at the IAS Exam Centre.

Ans. A candidate gets 3 weeks to 1 month to complete the application procedure.
Ans. This must be avoided but, in case of doing so, the data provided in the last application that is successfully submitted online will be accepted by the Commission. All previous applications will be ignored.
Ans. Candidates, who make payments through Bank Challan, are required to submit the online application at least a day before the notified closing date.
Ans. The Commission does not allow change of Date of Birth that has been furnished by a candidate and recorded by the Commission on any ground whatsoever.
Ans. A candidate found to be furnishing false information to the Commission or suppressing information, adopting various unfair means in the examination like impersonation, etc., is liable to be disqualified or debarred from writing IAS Exam as decided by the Commission.
