GITAM GAT PGT 2018 Application Form, Exam Dates, Admit Card

GITAM GAT PGT is a national level exam for admission in M.Tech programs offered by the GITAM University. The official notification of the exam was released in November 2017. GITAM GAT UGTP will be conducted from April 11 to April 26, 2018.  The score is considered for admission to M.Tech courses offered by GITAM University in all its 3 campuses, located in Bengaluru, Vishakhapatnam and Hyderabad.

GITAM GAT 2018 PGT Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must fulfill the stated eligibility criteria to appear for GITAM GAT PGT 2018:

• Age Limit: minimum 21 years of age
• Nationality: Must be a citizen of India
• Academic Qualifitcation: graduation from a recognized university with minimum 50% marks or above in qualifying examination.

GITAM GAT PGT 2018 Application Form can be filled both online and offline.

Online Method:

1. Visit www.gitam.edu
2. Get Registration
3. Login with Registered ID and Password
4. Go to Apply online
5. Fill in all the details mentioned below
   • Full Name (in Block Letter)
   • Date of Birth
   • Address (Permanent & Correspondence)
   • Name of Parents
   • Academic Details
   • Select City for Examination Center
   • Upload Files for Self Photograph & Academic Records

• Have a preview of Filled in Application Form 
• Make Payment through Debit card / Credit card (Master / VISA)

Offline Method-

Application for GITAM CAT PGT can be obtained through the GITAM University by post or can be received from the Branches of Some Banks (details given below herewith):

• Obtaining Application Form via Post from GITAM University:

1. Send an application making request on plain paper in the name of Director-Admissions
2. Mention Full Name and Corresponding Address
3. Get generated a DD of Rs.150/- drawn in favour of GITAM University payable at Visakhapatnam on any scheduled bank.
4. Request for applications by post will be accepted up to March, 25^th 2018

The payment of the fee can be done online through debit/credit card or net banking.
In case of offline payment, a demand draft drawn from any scheduled bank made in favour of GITAM University payable at Visakhapatnam.

GITAM 2018 Slot Booking

• GITAM GAT Slot Booking process is available to the students after they have successfully filled their application form.
• Slot booking is a mandatory process for the applicants to be able to download their hall ticket to appear for the exam. It is  done on the first come first serve basis. 

GITAM Slot Booking is done through the Online Booking System conducted by GAT 2018. The steps to be followed to book slots are as follows:

• Application Form number, gender and date of birth are required to log into the official website
• Candidates have to choose their exam center, date and preferred slot
• Next step is to log in again using their individual credentials and downloading the hall tickets for the examination
• Instructions mentioned in the hall ticket are to be followed by the candidates

GITAM GAT PGT 2018 Admit Card

• GITAM GAT PGT 2018 Admit Card can be downloaded from April 5, 2018.
• The admit card can be downloaded from the official website of GITAM University www.gitam.edu by following the steps mentioned below:

1. Visit official website of GITAM University
2. Login with Registered ID and Password
3. Go to Download E Hall Ticket
4. Save it and Print it

Information on Admit Card: The admit card will contain the following details on it-

1. Full Name
2. Date of Birth
3. Photograph of Self and Signature
4. Name of the Exam i.e. GAT PGT 2018
5. Center of the Examination
6. Roll Number

Documents to Carry with Admit /E hall Ticket: Candidate has to produce any one of the following for personal identification:
Passport / Driving License / EC voter ID card / IT PAN card / School or College photo bearing ID card / Aadhar Card.

GITAM GAT PGT 2018 Exam Centers

• GITAM GAT PGT 2018 will be conducted in 48 cities across India.
• Aspirants will be allowed to choose 3 cities for the Online test.
• Candidates must report to the allotted exam centers an hour before the exam.
• Candidate must produce any one of the following for personal identification:
  1. Passport
  2. Driving License
  3. Voter ID card
  4. IT PAN card
  5. School or College photo bearing ID card
  6. Aadhar Card.
• Exam center once allotted will not be changed under any circumstances.

For GAT PGT 2018 exam there will be about 44 Test Centres. The List of Test Centres is mentioned in the following table:

GITAM GAT 2018 Exam Pattern

• The duration of the online exam will be 2 hours.
• There are 100 objective type questions in total.
• The question paper is divided into three sections namely, Reasoning, Verbal Ability, and Quantitative Aptitude.
• Each question has a weightage of 3 marks.
• 1 mark is deducted for each incorrect answer.

GITAM GAT 2018 Syllabus

The question paper of GAT PGT 2018 is divided into three sections: Numerical Data Analysis / Quantitative Analysis, Reasoning & Intelligence, Verbal Ability.

The Numerical Data Analysis / Quantitative Analysis section will have questions which will have measurable and verifiable data. Candidates will be questioned on following topics:

• Geometry
• Inequalities
• Graphs (data interpretation)
• Sets
• Relations and Functions

The reasoning and intelligence section is aimed at evaluating candidate’s analytical skills and reasoning. The topics included under this section are as follows:

• Matching Puzzles
• Venn Diagrams
• Cubes
• Clocks
• Calendars
• Number and Letter Series
• Blood Relations
• Syllogisms
• Logical Connectives

The Verbal ability section will evaluate candidate’s knowledge of English Language. The topics covered under this are as follows:

• Sentence completion
• Analogy
• Reading comprehension
• Antonyms

GITAM GAT PGT 2018 Result

• GITAM GAT PGT 2018 Result will be announced on April 30, 2018.
• Results will be declared as score cards on the official website www.gitam.edu. Score cards can be downloaded by following the mentioned steps:

3. Click on GITAM GAT PGT Result
4. A webpage will open as is being depicted in above given image
5. Fill in Hall Ticket Number & Date of Birth
6. Click on Submit button
7. Rank will be displayed and Download it.

GITAM GAT PGT 2018 Counselling

• GITAM GAT PGT 2018 Counselling will start in the second week of May.
• Candidates have to pay INR 1000/- in cash for the non-refundable counselling fees.
• Candidates eligible for counselling will be issued call letters with the time and date allotted for the counselling. It can be downloaded by following the steps given:

  3. Click on “Counselling Call Letter”
  4. A webpage will open as is being depicted in above given image
  5. Fill in Application Number & Captcha
  6. Click on Download Call Letter.

Candidatesa are required to bring the following certificates in original and one set of photo copies along with one passport size photograph.

• 10th class or Equivalent pass certificate
• 10+2 / Intermediate marks statement and Pass Certificate
• Transfer and Conduct Certificates
• Medical Certificate from Civil Surgeon (in case of PH Candidates)
• Reserved Category / Integrated Community Certificate (in case of SC/ST)
