CTET 2017 Exam Centers

CTET Exam Center 2017- CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education) conducts the CTET exam (Central Teacher Eligibility Test). It is conducted twice a year in 92 test cities across India. Candidates have to mention their preferred CTET Exam Center while filling the CTET Application Form 2017.

CTET Admit Card

CTET 2017 is held in offline mode (pen-paper mode). While filling the CTET application form, candidates are provided with a maximum of 3 CTET Exam Center choices. These choices must be distinct and arranged in order of their preference. The final CTET Exam Centre allotted to the candidate will be mentioned on the CTET Admit Card.

Once the preference is submitted, candidates cannot change it. Hence they are advised to consider the options carefully before applying.


CTET Exam Centers 2017

CTET exam is conducted by CBSE in 92 test cities across the country. Candidates must go through the list provided below to acquire knowledge of all CTET test cities where the exam can be taken.

CTET Exam Center: General Instructions

Candidates should follow all the guidelines laid down by CBSE on the day of the exam. In case a candidate fails to follow these rules, they may have to give up their candidature. The general set of instructions for CTET is given below:

  • Reach CTET exam center at least 90 minutes before the test is scheduled.
  • Carry CTET admit card along with other important documents on the exam day.
  • Carry black or blue ball point pen for the purpose of marking the answers. 
  • No stationery items such as paper, eraser, geometry box, pouches, calculators, log tables and notepads are allowed inside the CTET exam center.
  • Electronic devices such as mobile phones, microphones, pagers, pen drives, cameras and digital watches are strictly prohibited in CTET exam center.
  • Smoking, spitting or indulging in any other addictive habits in the exam hall is strictly prohibited.
  • Edible items and drinks such as tea, snacks and coffee are not allowed to be carried inside the CTET test center.
  • It is not allowed for the candidate to leave his seat for any reason without the permission of the invigilator.
  • Submit the CTET OMR Sheets to the invigilators at the end of the examination.
  • It is important to sign the attendance sheet twice. Otherwise, the candidate may be considered absent during the exam.
  • CTET Test Booklet will be distributed 15 minutes before the exam starts.
  • Fill the required details on the cover of the CTET Test Booklet  correctly.
  • Wait for the invigilator’s instruction to break/  open the seal of the CTET OMR sheet.

Material to be carried at the CTET Exam Center

Candidate must carry the following items to the test centre on the day of the CTET 2017 Exam:

  • CTET Admit Card
  • Photo bearing Identity proof such as Driving License, Passport, Aadhar Card, Pan Card and Voter Card.
  • Blue or black ball point pen

CTET Exam Center: Unfair Means and Practices

Any case of usage of unfair means during the CTET will be treated strictly and appropriate actions will be taken against the candidate. They should keep the following instructions in their mind while writing CTET:

  • Maintain proper silence during the exam.
  • Attempting to give or receive help during the exam will lead to getting debarred.
  • Being in possession of any of the forbidden items will also lead to getting debarred from the CTET.
  • It is advised to verify all details mentioned details in the CTET OMR sheet before submitting it to the authorities.
  • Follow the instructions given by the invigilator closely and completely.
  • Check the CTET Test Booklet before attempting the exam.
  • In case of a discrepancy, inform the invigilators.
  • If it is found that the candidate has taken out pages from the CTET Test Booklet, it will be treated as a case of unfair means and will be liable for legal action.

Legal Jurisdiction

It must be noted that all disputes pertaining to the conduct of CTET will fall within the jurisdiction of Delhi only. The Secretary of CBSE will be the legal person in whose name the Board may sue or may be sued.
