CTET 2017 Application Process

CTET Application Form 2017 will be available online at from March 15, 2017 onwards. The application fee for single paper is INR 600 and for both the papers, it is INR 1000. Candidates need to complete mainly 4 steps to apply for CTET: filling the application form, uploading of images, payment of fees and printing of fees. 

Application fee can be remitted in either online or offline mode. Last date to apply for CTET is March 30, 2017. Candidates applying for CTET 2017, should check the CTET Eligibility CriteriaIn case CTET Form is rejected, they can apply again but only in the next turn. 

CTET is considered mandatory for the recruitment of PRT (Primary Teacher) and TGT (Trained Graduate Teacher) teachers. CTET 2017 Registration Dates

Candidates must keep in mind all the important dates related to the CTET application process 2017. The online registration will begin on March 15, 2017 until March 30, 2017. Check below the Registration Dates for CTET:

CTET 2017 Document Specifications

Scanned copy of the photograph and signature has to be uploaded in the CTET Application Form. The photograph must be recent and of passport size. CTET application form requires the applicant to upload signature and photograph as per the specifications defined below:

Important Instructions for CTET Application Form

Given below is a set of instructions to be followed while filling CTET Application Form 2017:

  • CTET application form can be filled in the online mode from March 15, 2017 to March 30, 2017.
  • All the information provided in CTET application brochure must be read thoroughly before working on CTET application form.
  • The application form has to be filled through the official website:
  • All the details must be correctly filled in CTET online form.
  • Application fee paid must be accompanied by an acknowledgement slip issued by the bank authorities.
  • CTET application fee can also be paid either through credit/debit card or bank challan.
  • All the updates related to CTET 2017 will be sent on the mobile/email id registered.
  • Scanned images of photograph and signature must be in .jpg/.jpeg format.

CTET 2017 Application Fee and Mode of Payment 

CTET application fee varies for the General and Reserved Category candidates. It can be paid either through the Credit/Debit Card or Bank Challan. The application fee details for CTET are as follows:

  • Additional bank charges are applicable on the fee payment which should be borne by the candidate. Charges may vary with the banks. 
  • Payment done through the bank challan will require the candidate to take the acknowledgement receipt from bank. Payment through credit/debit card will show the online pdf on successful payment.
  • Offline fee payment can be done either through Syndicate Bank or Canara Bank.

How to Apply for CTET 2017 Exam? 

Candidate can apply for CTET in 4-simple steps. CTET Application Form can be filled in the online mode only. Steps for filling CTET application form are as follows:

  1. Filling the CTET application form
  2. Uploading the scanned images
  3. Payment of CTET application fee
  4. Printing confirmation page

Step 1: Filling the CTET Application Form

Candidate has to fill all the details such as name, date of birth, year of passing class 10, 12 and graduation. Once the details are finally submitted, it cannot be changed.

Registration number will be generated and displayed on the screen. Click on‘Review Page’ if you wish to review the details before the final submit. Go ‘Next’ to move forward.

Step 2: Uploading the Scanned Images

Scanned copy of the photograph and signature has to be uploaded at this step. The scanned images must be in .jpg/.jpeg format. Signature must be less than 30 KB and photograph must be less than 40 KB. Steps to upload documents in CTET Application Form are given below:

  • Click on the link to ‘Upload the Image’
  • Browse to the location on the computer where the Scanned Photograph or Signature has been saved.
  • Select Photograph/Signature to upload
  • Click on ‘Upload’ button

Step 3: Payment of CTET Application Fee

The application fee has to be paid according to the category details. CTET application fee for both papers is INR 1000 for general category and INR 500 for reserved category candidates. It can be paid either through bank challan or credit/debit card.

Payment via Credit Card/Debit Card/Net Banking:

If a candidate chooses to pay via Net Banking then they are required to enter Username and Password. If a candidate is paying via Credit Card/Debit Card, then they must enter card number and pin.

Payment via offline mode:

In case candidate finds the offline mode of payment convenient, they must generate e-Challan and pay the fee.  

Step 4: Print Confirmation Page

CTET confirmation page is the last page that comes with all the details. Candidate must take print out of the confirmation page and keep it safe for future reference. They must not send the hard copy of the same to the CTET office.

How To Retrieve Registration Number? 

Registration number is very important for CTET online form. If the registration number is lost or forgotten, it can be easily retrieved by filling the form. Steps to retrieve CTET registration number are as follows:

  • Open CTET official website at
  • Look for sub link for Forgot Registration Number
  • Click on the link and a form will get open on the screen
  • Fill the form completely with the details such as name, father’s name, mother’s name, D.O.B., category details, paper applied and security pin (displayed on screen)
  • Click Submit button and the details will be emailed to your email address

CTET Application Form Correction 2017

Any changes in the CTET Application Form can be done only in online mode from April 2, 2017 to April 20, 2017. Request for changes in the CTET Application Form made through letter or email will not be accepted. Any changes made to the category detail requires the applicant to pay the additional CTET application fee. Additional fee paid under the scheme requires the applicant to pay through DD (Demand Draft). The DD should be in favor of Secretary CBSE payable at Delhi.

It is also stated that due to non-receipt of the application fee, candidate can request for the confirmation over registered email. The email address only active for such request is Candidate must send the payment slip copy over the mail.
