CAT Application Form- The process of filling CAT Application Form has begun from August 9, 2017 and will conclude on September 25, 2017. Candidates willing to register themselves can visit the official website i.e. www.iimcat.ac.in. This year, over 2,00,000 candidates are expected to register for CAT 2017.

An aspirant has to register at iimcat.ac.in before start filling CAT application form. Through CAT Registration, a unique login id and password is generated. These credentials are vital for successfully completing CAT Application Form 2017.

Once candidates are sure that they fulfill all eligibility norms and carry all the necessary documents, then they register for CAT and continue filling CAT Application Form. They can follow the given below steps to fill CAT Application Form-
The step 2 includes Academics. Enter the details of your academic qualification. Here you have to enter the details of not just the qualifying examination but details of your education from class 10th onwards to the most recent academic qualification.

If a candidate has any work experience till the date of July 31, 2017, they must enter the details of work experience.

It may be possible that some of the candidates had entered incorrect details due to lack of proper information or documents. As CAT is an important exam, the exam authority allows candidates to make corrections in their CAT Application Form. Candidates should note that, they can make corrections only in few entries.

Corrections cannot be made under the following entered fields-
Ans: As per CAT Eligibility Criteria, you have to fill the percentage according to your university norms.
Ans: You must provide the Aggregate Percentage up to the last marks statement received from the University as per CAT Eligibility Criteria.
Ans: As per CAT eligibility criteria, you must mention the Aggregate Percentage of marks (computed using the conversion formula specified by CBSE for converting CGPA into the percentage of marks) for all the subjects irrespective of your education board regulations.
Ans: The application fee is ₹900 for SC/ST/PwD category candidates and ₹1800 for all other categories of candidates.
Ans: The fee has to be paid after completing CAT application form. The fee can be paid using a valid credit card, debit card, or net banking facility.
Ans: CAT Registration opens on Wednesday, August 9, 2017 10:00 a.m. and closes on Wednesday, September 25, 2017 05:00 p.m. Click CAT Registration to know how to register for CAT 2017.
Ans: No. A valid and unique email address must be provided. All the information related to CAT exam and the following info during CAT selection criteria of the respective IIMs will be communicated to the registered email address only.
Ans: The list of exam cities is available at iimcat.ac.in under Exam Cities tab. There, you have to select the State/Union Territory and then the names of test city will appear on the screen. The exam cities will also be available in the form of a drop-down list at the time of filling CAT Application Form.
Ans: You cannot edit certain personal details like Name, Date of Birth, email id, mobile number etc., at any stage in CAT Registration (either before or after submitting CAT application form).
If you have made a mistake in these details, you must register again with a new email ID. You can edit some personal details, such as Communication Address, Gender, Category, Educational Information, Work Experience, or Exam City preferences etc. until you have not submitted CAT Application Form.
After you submit CAT Application Form, there will be a limited time during which you can modify only a few details such as Percentage of Marks scored, Programs Selected, Work Experience, etc.
The details, that you won’t be able to change or modify are: details entered in the Personal Details section, Academics section except the percentage marks scored, Exam Centre City Preferences. You can only view and print after this.
You must preview your filled-in CAT application form before submission to ensure that all the details are correct.

Ans: You must enter your changed name and provide the supporting documents for change of name at the time of examination, interview, and admission.
Ans: Click the Forgot Password option on the Existing User Login Page. Enter the captcha code and the password will be sent to your registered email ID. It will not be sent as an SMS.
Ans: You need to use the password contained in the most recent SMS you have received. In case you are not able to log in, you can simply use your user id and click ‘forgot password’. You will receive a new password through email on your registered email id.

Ans: Apart from uploading photograph and signature of the candidate, following certificates have to be uploaded-
1. Category Certificate- If you have chosen NC-OBC or SC or ST as the category, then you need to upload the relevant certificate.
