APICET 2018 Counselling

Andhra Pradesh Integrated Common Entrance Test (APICET) is an integrated common entrance test conducted by the Andhra University for MBA and MCA admissions. The Andhra University (AU) on behalf of the Andhra Pradesh State Council Higher Education Board is responsible for the entire examination process from releasing notification to the allotment of seats.

The APICET 2018 counselling is expected to begin in the month of July. Candidates must note that APICET counselling process will be based upon the ranks secured by the candidates in their entrance test.

APICET 2018 Cut-off list

The Andhra University announces category wise APICET Cut-off list for counselling every year. The candidates seeking admission to MBA and MCA courses via APICET 2018 can get an insight about the previous year’s counselling via the below mentioned APICET 2017 Rank list.

APICET 2018 Counselling Fee

For previous years, the counselling fee to be paid at the time of certificate verification was 900 INR for OC/BC candidates and 450 INR for SC/ST candidates.

However, it must be noted that the concerned authorities have not yet released the fee details for APICET counselling as of now.

APICET 2018 Counselling Process

The APICET 2018 Counselling process will start soon after the APICET 2018 results will have been declared. The candidates who will appear in APICET 2018 Exam can go through the generalized APICET 2018 counselling process mentioned below:

  1. As the counselling for APICET 2018 is conducted on the basis of the rank secured by the candidates, the candidates therefore are advised to carefully check the rank list for the same.
  2. Based upon the rank secured by the candidate in his/her APICET entrance test, he/she is required to find his/her rank wise allotted counselling center and the prescribed counselling date as mentioned in it.
  3. On the allotted date, the candidates must attend their counselling for APICET in the allotted center.
  4. Next, the candidates are required to pay their counselling fee and take the computer generated fee receipt in acknowledgment of the same.
  5. At the time of paying his/her counselling fee, the candidate is required to give his/her mobile number and Email ID for further communication.
  6.  The counselling registration fee receipt given to the candidate will have the registration ID & password. The same must be kept safely by the candidate for performing web based procedures.
  7.  Next the officials will conduct certificate verification. Candidates are required to carry two sets of photocopies of all the counselling certificates.
  8. Candidates can then perform the web based procedure of changing the allocated college if they want to.
  9. Once the previous step is completed, candidates can submit the filled information.

Note: The final seat allotment will be made by the Andhra University. Once the seat allotment has been done, candidates will be notified about the same via an SMS that will be sent to the candidate on his/her registered mobile number by his/her allotted college.

APICET 2018 Counselling Documents

The candidates seeking admission via APICET 2018 should carry certain documents on the day of the counselling. Below is a list of documents required to be presented by the candidates, irrespective of their categories (if any), at the time of APICET 2018 counselling:

  • Aadhar Card
  • Andhra Pradesh Integrated Common Entrance Test (APICET)  Rank Card
  • Andhra Pradesh Integrated Common Entrance Test (APICET) hall ticket
  • Residence Certificate (in case where the candidate has no institutionalized education)
  • Residence Certificate of either of parents in Telangana for 10 years in case of non-local candidates
  • SSC/10th or its equivalent Marks memo
  • IV-X Study Certificates
  • Degree or B.Tech all semester marks Memos & PC
  • Income Certificate issued after 01.01.2016
  • Caste Certificate issued by competent authority
  • Physically Handicapped/CAP/National Cadet Corps/Sports/Minority Certificate if applicable.
  • Two sets of photocopies of all the documents/certificates listed above.

Category wise documents

Apart from the list of the documents mentioned above, a candidate if he/she belongs to any of the below mentioned categories, is required to bring the given category wise documents as well.

  1. Children of Armed Force (CAP) Candidates

Candidates whose parents are domiciled in Telangana and have the permanent address/hometown declared by them while joining the service and as recorded in their service register are alone eligible to be considered under “CAP” Category.

  • Identity card.
  • Discharge book (in case of ex-servicemen).
  • Service Certificate (in case of servicemen) issued by a Competent Authority for verification.
  • Certificate issued by Zilla Sainik Welfare Officer.
  1. Physically Handicapped (PH) candidates

 Candidates applying under the PH category are required to submit a PH certificate issued through a District Medical Board.

 PH candidates must note that only those candidates with 40% & above disability are eligible for reservation.

  1. National Cadet Corps (NCC)/sports candidates

Candidates under this category are required to produce original certificates as issued by the competent authorities.

  1. Anglo-Indian candidates

Anglo-Indian candidates are required to produce the certificate as issued by the competent authority of their place of residence.

  1. Minority candidates

Candidates seeking admission under this category are required to produce SSC TC containing minority status or a certificate from the head master.

APICET 2018 Seat Allotment

The APICET 2018 seat allotment list will be declared in the official website of APICET in the month of September 2018 tentatively.

Candidates are required to follow the below mentioned instructions regarding the seat allotment:

  1. To access the APICET 2018 Seat Allotment list, candidates must enter their hall ticket number, registration number, date of birth and password in the candidate login section.
  2. Next candidates must download the allotment order. Candidates are advised to read the instructions printed on it and also download the challan form for the payment of the required fee. 
  3. Candidates are now required to pay the fees in the bank(s) as mentioned by the exam conducting body.
  4. Next the candidates must report to their allotted college mentioned in the allotment order, on the required date.

Note: Candidates must be careful of the fact that in case he/she fails to report at his/her allotted college by the stipulated date then this shall result in the immediate cancellation of his/her seat. The candidate, as a result will have no claim henceforth on the seat allotted.
