AP PGECET is a state level exam conducted for candidates seeking admission in the field of Engineering, Technology and Pharmacy courses. It is conducted by JNTU Hyderabad (Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Kakinada) by APSCHE (Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education). AP PGECET 2018 is scheduled in May 2018 where the Application Form will be available from March 2018. But before filling the registration form, it is important for the candidates to check the eligibility criteria set by APSCHE.

AP PGECET Exam Pattern has 120 MCQs (Multiple Choice Questions) and will be held in an Online mode. Candidates appearing will be given 2 hours to complete the test and the results for this particular exam will be announced on the official website. Candidates clearing the exam will be eligible for participating in the counseling process.

The Application Process begins in March 2018. The process is conducted in Online mode. JNTU Hyderabad is yet to release the official exam dates for the state level entrance exam. Given below are the tentative dates for the exam:

Eligibility for AP PGECET 2018

JNTU Hyderabad has set an eligibility standard for each course for which the entrance exam will be held. They need to ensure that they satisfy the below mentioned eligibility guidelines before applying for the AP PGECET 2018 exam. Candidates failing the eligibility at any level are informed that their candidature will be cancelled.

The eligibility guidelines for AP PGECET are given below:

  • Candidates must be Indian National.
  • Candidates must have permanent residency of Andhra Pradesh state or should have lived for a substantial amount of time.
  • Candidates should meet the local /non-local status requirements pre-determined for admissions.
  • For Engineering courses: Candidates must score 50% or more in the qualifying examination, 45% for the Reserved Categories.
  • For Pharmacy Courses: Candidates must score 55% or more in the qualifying examination, 50% for the SCs and STs and other reserved categories.

Note:Candidates applying on the basis of GATE or GPAT scores need not apply for AP PGECET 2018. They will have to follow different application process.

Application Fee

The application fee for AP PGECET for General category is INR 600. The fee has to be paid at the time of online registration.

AP PGECET 2018 Application Process

Candidates are expected to fill in the (AP PGECET 2018 Application Form) to apply for this exam. The application form is available online. The process starts by paying the application fee for registration. For easy understanding, a step by step process to fill the form is given below:


Step 1: Payment for AP PGECET 2018 Application Form- There is a set fee that a candidate has to pay before proceeding to the next level i.e. Registration for the entrance exam.

Step 2: Registration- This is the next step where all the details (personal/ academic) has to be mentioned.

Step 3: Uploading of Documents- In this step, candidate is required to upload their Photograph and signature as per the set standard size.

Step 4: Save & Download- After completing all the steps mentioned above, candidate should make sure to review their form before submitting it. And after carefully reviewing, then click on the ‘Submit’ tab. Then, a confirmation page will appear. Save the confirmation and download it.


In case of forgotten registration number or id, the candidate can retrieve it by visiting the official website. Transaction id, date of birth and mobile number will require recovering the forgotten registration id.


In case of forgotten transaction number, the candidate must visit the official website and details such as payment source, mobile number and date of birth, SSC hall ticket number and SSC year of passing will be required.


In case of incorrect details in the application form, the candidate can request corrections to be made. For this to happen, the candidate has to visit the official website and his or her date of birth, registration ID and mobile number will be required. Then, the candidate will be able to edit any wrong fields in the form and provide correct information.

AP PGECET 2018 Admit Card

The primary document i.e., the admit card is to be carried on the day of exam. Candidate failing to bring this document, the candidate will not be granted entry inside the exam hall/test centre. The admit card or the hall ticket for AP PGECET 2018 will contain information regarding the candidate like Candidate’s Name, Photograph & Soignature, Exam Venue, Exam Date & Time and Instructions.

For candidates who have applied, the admit card can be downloaded from the official website. Mentioned below are the steps to download the AP PGECET Hall Ticket.

Step 1: Visit the AP PGECET Official Website.

Step 2: Click on the ‘Download AP PGECET Hall Ticket’

Step 3: After clicking, a new screen will appear where a candidate needs to their AP PGECET Registration No. and selected test as specified in the application form.

Step 4: Now, after submitting the details your AP PGECET Hall Ticket will appear. It is advisable to go through all the details before downloading the document.

Step 5: View and save the AP PGECET 2017 Hall Ticket.

Note: In case of any discrepancy found, it is important to approach the conducting body immediately. 

AP PGECET 2018 Exam Pattern

TSCHE has set the AP PGECET 2018 exam pattern. The state level exam will be held in an Online mode. Candidates should be familiar with the exam pattern of AP PGECET 2018 before they start preparing for it. This will help them to prepare for the exam in a better way as they will have an idea about the format of the exam. The Highlights of the AP PGECET 2018 is given in the following table:

AP PGECET 2018 Results

JNTU Hyderabad will release the AP PGECET 2018 Results after the exam is conducted. The results will be declared on the official website of TS EAMCET or JNTU Hyderabad. The AP PGECET 2018 results will be announced in total marks and rank obtained format. Therefore, to view the obtained result and rank, below steps are required to be followed:

Step 1: Visit the official website of AP PGECET 2018.

Step 2: Enter the admit card number and click on submit.

Step 3: The candidate will be able to view the percentile and rank obtained along with the qualifying status.

Step 4: Download the AP PGECET 2018 rank card.

To qualify for further process, a candidate is required to score a pre-determined cut-off score. This minimum cut-off score will be available for download on the date of notification announcement.

AP PGECET 2018 Counselling

After the declaration of the results, shortlisted candidates will be called for the AP PGECET 2018 Counselling. The process will be done according to the merit of the candidates and their scores achieved in AP PGECET 2018 and in GATE/ GPAT 2018.

The counseling begins with document verification, the standard operating procedure for any government exam. Thereafter, the candidates are asked to fill and lock their choices for seat allotment process.
