AIPMT 2016 (All India Pre Medical Test), alternatively known as NEET 2016 Phase 1 has been conducted by Central Board of Secondary Education on May 1, 2016. The AIPMT 2016 Application Process starts from May 26, 2016 and lasts until June 25, 2016.
NEET 2016 Phase 2
For the session 2016-2017, the Supreme Court of India ordered a second phase of the National level Pre Medical Test, NEET 2016 Phase 2 which was recently conducted on July 24, 2016. In order to reappear in NEET 2016 Phase 2 the previous candidates of NEET 2016 Phase 1/AIPMT 2016 must give up their candidature of the first examination.
The AIPMT 2016 Result/NEET Phase 1 Result will be declared on August 17, 2016 along with the NEET Phase 2 2016 Result. The candidates can access the NEET 2016 Phase 1 OMR Sheet as well as the NEET 2016 Phase 2 OMR Sheet from August 4, 2016 to August 7, 2016 on the official website.
The NEET 2016 Answer key will also be uploaded on the official website. The candidates can avail the respective AIPMT 2016 Answer Key and NEET 2016 Phase 2 Answer Key from August 7, 2017 to August 9, 2016.
The Counselling for both NEET 2016 Phase 1/AIPMT 2016 and NEET 2016 Phase 2 has been amalgamated into a single NEET 2016 Counselling Process which will be conducted from August 18, 2016 till September 30, 2016.

AIPMT2016 Eligibility Criteria
In order to apply for AIPMT 2016/NEET 2016 Phase 1, the candidates must satisfy certain AIPMT 2016 Eligibility Criteriaset by the conducting body. The applicants must adhere to the age limit defined, year of passing the qualifying examination and Nationality before moving ahead with the AIPMT 2016 Application Process. It must be noted that failure to fulfil the eligibility criteria will lead to rejection of the candidature at any stage of the AIPMT 2016 Counselling Process and AIPMT 2016 Seat Allotment Procedure.
- Nationality-The candidate must be an Indian citizen or overseas citizen.
- Age limit-The candidates must have completed 17 years age as on or before 31st December of the year of his/ her Admission.
- The candidate upper age limit should be 25 years for general and 5 years relaxation for the SC/ST/OBC category students as on or before 31st December of the year of the entrance examination.
- The candidates belonging to Telangana, J&K and Andhra Pradesh states are not eligible for 15% all India quota seats as both these States had opted out of All India Scheme
- Candidates from Telangana, J&K and Andhra Pradesh State can apply for AIPMT exam only for admission to the Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC), Pune.
- Academic Qualifications-Candidates must have passed 12th Examination with 50% marks (for General) together in Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology and English and 40% marks for SC/ST and OBC Category.
- Students should have passed in each subject individually.
AIPMT2016 Application Process
Candidates can apply for AIPMT 2016 only through online mode. The AIPMT 2016 Application Process is detailed in the following sections. TheAIPMT 2016 Application Form can be completed by using the following steps. The NEET 2016 Phase 2 has also followed the same below mentioned application process.

Step 1- Registration:
To register for AIPMT 2016 Exam, Candidates need to create an account by entering required details on the AIPMT 2016 official website.
- Open the official websitewww.aipmt.nic.in.
- Click on Apply online link.
- Enter Candidate Name, Father and Mother Name (as given in 10th class certificate).
- Date of birth (as given in 10th class certificate).
- Enter a Valid Email Id and Mobile Number.
- Click on submit button.
After clicking on the submit button you have successfully registered yourself for AIPMT 2016. Now you will proceed to the next step.
In this step, candidates need to fill their personal and educational details like Candidate Nationality, Gender, and Category. Father’s/Mother’s/ Guardian’s Educational Qualifications and Occupations, total income and other asked details.
Click on the final submission button, this will proceed you to the next step.
Step 3- Upload the Images:
The candidate can now log in by using the password entered by you at the time of registration. Candidates are advised please note down their registration number.
Now upload the scanned copy of a photograph, signature, Left Hand Thumb Impression and Self Declaration (if candidates belong to Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, and J&K State).
Step 4- Pay the Application Fee:
After completing the above steps, candidates must pay the AIPMT Application Fee to complete the application process. The fee can be paid either Online (Debit/ Credit Card) or Offline (E-Challan).
- Payment can be paid through any Debit/Credit Card using on-line gateway payment facility
- Check the validity of the Card and keep it ready
- Candidate can download the E-Challan from the website
- Deposit the application fee in CBSE Bank Account maintained by HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank, Syndicate Bank or State Bank Of India
- E-Challan Slip bearing Application Registration Number, Name and address of the Bank branch with branch code where the fee is deposited and transaction ID number.
- Candidates are advised to keep this slip for future reference.
- Now candidates print the confirmation page of online application after depositing the application fee.
AIPMT 2016 Admit Card
Candidates can download the AIPMT 2016 Admit Card from the official website released by the CBSE. To download the AIPMT 2016 Hall Ticket, candidates must follow the steps detailed in the following sections.
NEET Phase 2 exam will be held on July 24, 2016. The NEET 2016 Phase 2 Admit Card for will be available on July 8, 2016. The steps to avail the NEET 2016 Phase 2 Hall Ticket will be nearly similar to that of AIPMT 2016 Admit Card.
Step to Download the AIPMT 2016 Admit Card
- Open the AIPMT official website.
- Click on the Admit Card link.
- Enter your registration number and Date of Birth.
- Click on submit button.
- Take a printout of your AIPMT 2016 Admit Card.
Note: After downloading the AIPMT 2016 Hall Ticket, candidates must paste a postcard size photograph of size (4”x6”). Candidates should mention their respective Name, Application Number and Roll Number on the reverse side. To ensure the identity of the candidate, the invigilator will investigate the photograph.
Candidates will also have to carry one passport size photograph, which will be required for the attendance sheet. Both the photos must be carried with the AIPMT 2016 Admit Card on the day of the examination.
AIPMT 2016 Exam Pattern
The AIPMT 2016 Exam Pattern will contain 180 objective type questions with maximum marks of 720. The aspirants of AIPMT 2016/NEET 2016 must go through the detailed AIPMT 2016 Syllabus/NEET 2016 Phase 1 Syllabus before starting to prepare for the entrance.
It must be noted that the NEET 2016 Phase 2 Syllabus is same as that of NEET Phase 1 and so is the NEET 2016 Phase 2 Exam Pattern.
There will be 4 sections containing 45 questions on Physics, Chemistry, Botany and Zoology. With every correct answer you will fetch 4 marks and for every wrong answer, you will lose 1 mark. The Examination will be held from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm.
Some important key points of AIPMT 2016 Exam Pattern are:-
- You can choose the language of the question paper as English or Hindi. If you do not choose any medium while filling up the form then by default English will be set as your language of paper.
- There will be 4 separate question booklets which will be given to you by the invigilator. You will be given an OMR sheet along with it and you have to mark your answer in it using ball point pen.
- There will be 45 questions from Physics and Chemistry each and 90 questions from Biology (45 from Botany and 45 from Zoology).
Analysis of the Previous year Exam
Out of the 3 sections, Physics is considered to be the toughest one. Questions mainly cover the topics Mechanics, Electrodynamics and Modern Physics. The difficulty level for Chemistry is moderate and most of the questions are asked from Organic Chemistry (about 8% questions). For Biology, as per the last year paper, amongst the 90 questions, 23 questions were of difficult level and questions were not directly picked up from NCERT.

AIPMT 2016 Result
The AIPMT 2016 Result (NEET 2016 Phase 1 Result) will be declared on August 17, 2016 along with the NEET 2016 Phase 2 Result. The official AIPMT 2016 OMR Sheet and NEET 2016 Phase 2 OMR Sheet ? is to be announced on August 4, 2016 and can be availed till August 7, 2016. The official AIPMT 2016 Answer key as well as NEET 2016 Phase 2 Answer Key will be uploaded on August 6, 2016 and will be available till August 9, 2016.The candidates can challenge the answer keys in case of any ambiguity. Candidates will be given an opportunity to make an online challenge against the Answer Key on payment of Rs.1000/- per answer challenged, which will be refunded if challenge is accepted by the board.
The NEET 2016 Result can be checked on official website of AIPMT or CBSE.
The candidates can check the result by entering the AIPMT Roll number and the Date of Birth. The AIPMT 2016 Result will contain total marks obtained by candidate and also the rank of the candidate. A list of successful candidates in order of merit, based on the score obtained in the test will be prepared by the Board and forwarded to the counselling authorities.

AIPMT 2016 Result - Tie Breaker
If more than one candidate obtained the equal marks in the AIPMT 2016 Entrance Exam then the following rules will be used. The same procedure will be accepted for the NEET 2016 Phase 2 Result. Those candidates shall be given preference if the-
- Candidates obtaining higher marks in Biology (Botany & Zoology) in the Test.
- If the tie still doesn’t break then the candidate obtaining the higher marks in Chemistry subject in the test will be given preference.
- If the tie still doesn’t break, then the candidates with fewer numbers of attempted wrong answers, in all the subjects will be preferred.
- If the tie still doesn’t break, then the candidate with higher age will be preferred.
AIPMT 2016 Cutoff
AIPMT 2016 Cutoff/NEET 2016 Cutoff will be released once theAIPMT 2016 Result as well as NEET 2016 Phase 2 Result is out. The result will be declared on June 5, 2016. It can be checked on the official website and the result sheet can be downloaded from there. The AIPMT 2016 Cutoff will be declared taking into account various aspects like difficulty level of the exam, last year cut off, the number of students appearing in the exam.

AIPMT 2016 Merit List
The AIPMT 2016 Merit list/NEET 2016 Merit List will be prepared by the Central Board of Secondary Education and publish the same on the official website. Separate lists will be announced for 15% All India Quota and for the 85% State Quota.
The merit list of the eligible and successful Candidates who have opted for 15% All India quota seats will be prepared by the CBSE on the basis of score obtained in the AIPMT 2016. The merit list will be equal to the number of seats available for allotment in MBBS/BDS courses under 15% All India Quota. There shall also be a waiting list equal to 4 times the merit list. Online counselling will be conducted by the Directorate General of Health Services. Information for online counselling will only be available on Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) website (www.mcc.nic.in).
All other participating Medical Institutions and Universities shall prepare their own ranking based on the All India merit list of successful candidates of AIPMT 2016 and other criteria as decided by them for seats other than 15% All India Quota. Candidates applying for admission in these participating State medical colleges/Universities/Institutions should follow the instructions of the concerned authorities of the medical college/Institution/University for counselling.
AIPMT 2016 Reservation
AIPMT 2016 Reservation policy will abide by the 15% All India Quota. Based on the AIPMT Results, 3159 MBBS seats and 250 BDS seats will be filled under 15% All India Quota. The NEET 2016 Phase 2 Reservation Policy will be same as that of Phase 1. Out of the total seats as per the reservation rules, a few seats will be reserved for the following categories:

AIPMT 2016 Counselling Procedure
AIPMT 2016 Counselling has been merged with NEET 2016 Counselling processfor Phase 2. There will be a commonNEET 2016 Seat Allotment process for the candidates of both NEET 2016 Phase 1 and NEET 2016 Phase 2. The amalgamated NEET 2016 Counselling Procedure will be held in two modes i.e. Online and Offline Modes. Online counselling will be done to fill the 15% All India merit quota and offline counselling will be done for the rest 85% state quota seats . The NEET 2016 Counselling will commence from August 18, 2016 and will last until September 30, 2016.
It will be conducted by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) on the behalf of Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS). There will be 3 rounds of counselling and seats will be allotted on the basis of the candidate’s rank and availability of seats in the particular college.
The offline counselling will be done to fill the seats under the remaining 85% state quota. For participating in counselling you have to fill in the application form of the particular institute.
There will be 3 rounds of counselling and hence 3 rounds of AIPMT/NEET 2016 Seat Allotment Process. The first step is that you have to register yourself for the first round then there will be choice filling and locking step. Similarly, the procedure will go on for 3 rounds. In each round, seats will be allotted on the basis of All India Rank (AIR) of the candidates. All the seats will be allotted only in these 3 rounds. No other round of counselling will be conducted.
