AILET 2017 Application Form

AILET Application Form 2017 was available from January 3, 2017. The last date to submit AILET Application Form was April 15, 2017. Candidates were able to access the application form the official website of AILET i.e. All candidates who satisfied AILET Eligibility proceeded to fill the application form.

Here are the 4 basic steps to apply for AILET:

  • Registration- Candidates provide their basic information at the official website of NLU Delhi in order to register themselves.
  • Fill Application Form- Here, candidates select their choice of college and course. They also fill-in all the asked information.
  • Upload Images- This step requires you to upload scanned images of your photograph. Make sure you adhere to the specifications.
  • Pay Application Fee- You may choose between online or offline modes of payment. AILET Application Fee is different for candidates from different categories.

AILET Eligibility 2017

According to the eligibility criteria devised by the examination authority, there are separate eligibility criteria for BA LLB, LLM and PH.D programs. A candidate must fulfill these criteria in order to be eligible for form-filling. Candidates can check AILET Eligibility Criteria for different programs below:

AILET Eligibility for LLB Course

  • Candidate must have passed Class 12 with the minimum aggregate marks of 50%.
  • According to the official notification released by NLU Delhi the age criteria for admission is withdrawn. Check official notification
  • Candidates appearing in 12th class examination in March/April are also eligible for applying

AILET Eligibility for LLM Course

  • Candidates with LLB degree or any other equivalent degree with minimum 55% aggregate marks can apply (In case of SC/ST/PwD it is 50% marks)
  • Candidates appearing in the last year of LLB can also apply

AILET Eligibility Criteria for Ph.D. Course

  • LL.M. Degree with 55% marks or its equivalent (50% in case of SC/ST/ Persons with Disability)

How to fill AILET Application Form?

Before applying for AILET 2017, candidates must keep ready some of the key details/ documents that are stated below.

  • Valid E-mail Address
  • Valid Mobile Number
  • Scanned Copy of Photograph
  • Credit Card/ Debit Card (if applicable)

Here is how you can easily fill the application form for AILET:

Step 1- Registration

  1. Visit AILET Official website of NLU Delhi i.e.

  1. Click on the ‘Apply Online’ link.
  2. Fill the basic information such as contact number, email ID, name, parents’ name, address and date of birth.

  1. After filling the AILET Application form, click on Registration button. It’ll take you to Application Locker page where you have to confirm the provided details.

Step 2- Fill AILET Application Form

  1. Choose the college from the list of NLUs and click on ‘Click here to Apply’ button.

  1. On the next page, select the course from the drop down menu.
  2. Then click on ‘Apply Now’ button.
  3. After being redirected to the online application form of AILET 2017, you need to fill the form.

Step 3- Uploading Images

  1. Upload the scanned photograph. The size of the scanned photograph must not exceed 150 KB. The face of the candidate should cover at least 75% of the photograph.
  2. Scanned copy of photograph can be in .bmp, .jpg or .gif format.
  3. Click on “save” and proceed to make payment.

Step 4- AILET Application Fee Payment

  1. There are two available modes of payment for AILET 2017: offline and online.
  2. For offline payment, the applicant has to remit the fee for at the post office.
  3. For online payment, they can submit the fee via net banking/debit card/credit card.
  4. After the candidates have made the payment, they will receive a confirmation mail from.
  5. Applicants should download the acknowledgment from the mail or from the Application Locker under the Application Submitted area

Modes of Fee Payment

Option 1- Cash Deposit at Post Office

In this. a candidate can choose to pay at any one of the post offices located all over India. Check List of post offices accepted

  1. The first step is to select the Cash Deposit at Post Office option. Then click on proceed button.
  2. Choose your City and Branch. The two identical Deposit Slips will be displayed.
  3. Take a print-out of displayed Deposit Slips. Deposit the application fee along with the slips at the selected Post Office Branch.
  4. Submit the application fee, one part of the deposit slip will be kept by post office for records and other will be returned to the candidate. Do not forget to collect the slip.

Option 2- Online Application Fee Payment

  1. The first step is to select online payment Gateway option.
  2. Choose the desired payment option from Credit Card /Debit Card & Net Banking.
  3. If you are making a transaction via Credit Card/Debit Card, then you have to give details like Card number, CVV no., Expiry Date and Pin number.
  4. If you are making a transaction via Net banking, then you will be directed to the particular bank's site where your account details are confirmed and the payment is accepted.
  5. After the process of payment is complete, the candidate will receive an acknowledgment slip on the registered Email ID. Take a print- out of this acknowledgment slip and keep it with you.

AILET Application Form Instructions

Here are a few instructions regarding the application form for AILET:

  1. There no provision to fill AILET Application Form in offline mode. Only the online forms will be considered valid.
  2. Candidates must obtain a registration id or generate registration number and password for filling AILET application form.
  3. Candidature will be canceled if an applicant fails to meet the eligibility standards set by NLU Delhi.
  4. An application form will be accepted only after successful fee payment, as per your category.
  5. We suggest you preview your filled form before submission. You may edit the fields in case of a change.
  6. Make sure you fill AILET Application Form before the last date to avoid any last-minute hassles.

AILET Application Form FAQs

Ques. Is there any provision for AILET Application Form Correction?

Ans. No, NLU Delhi does not provide the option for application form correction. Once submitted, the application form will be considered final. Thus, we suggest you to fill all the details carefully. Also, make sure they are true and correct.

Ques. I am still appearing in my class XII exams. Am I eligible to apply for BA LLB (Hons.)?

Ans. Yes, you are eligible to apply in BA LLB (Hons.) course.

Ques. Can I avail AILET Application Form from offline mode?

Ans. No, there is no provision to avail the application form from any offline source. The registration process if completely online.

Ques. How will I get to know that my application form has been accepted?

Ans. You will receive a unique ID after making payment and successful submission of registration form on your registered mail id. Those who submit offline registration form with demand draft will also receive the unique ID on their registered mail id.

Ques. I am unable to access the Online application. Can you send the application form by email or post?

Ans. The application cannot be sent by email/post. If you get any specific error while applying, please send an email to University.

Ques. Is there any reservation of seats in AILET?

Ans. Yes, 15% of total seats are reserved for SC candidates, 7.5% of total are reserved for ST and 3% for person with disabilities. One seat will be reserved for Kashmiri Migrants. 10 seats are reserved for foreign nationals. Also, foreign national applicants are exempted from taking AILET exam.

Ques. What is the admission procedure for foreign nations?

Ans. 5 seats are allotted to foreign national candidates possessing the citizenship of a country other than India will only be considered under this category. The foreign nationals are exempted from taking the admission test. Vacant seats under the foreign national category shall be filled from the general category candidates in order of merit.
