NATIONAL LEVEL OFFLINE TEST
Candidates can apply online for XAT Registration 2017 till November 30, 2016. They have to visit official website and create new user account. They will receive a confimation mail with User Id and password. They can then fill the application form and submit the application fee. Registration fee is Rs. 1600/- (Rs 2000 as paying late till December 11, 2016). If the candidates are interested in any programme(s) offered by XLRI, they have to pay additional fees of Rs.300/- each(Rs. 500 per course when you pay late fee)

Post successful registration candidates can download the admit card directly from the official website using their login credentials. It will be available from Decemeber 20, 2016.
It is advised that candidates start the registration for XAT 2017 early enough to avoid the last minute rush on the official website. The payment of application fees is an integral part of the XAT Registration. Candidates, irrespective of any category, have to pay the stipulated registration fees of Rs. 1600/-(Rs. 2000/- if you pay late fee). If the candidates are interested in the programmes offered by XLRI, they must pay an additional fees of Rs.300/- each(Rs. 500 if you pay late fee). For completing the registration process of XAT Candidates must keep a few important documents ready before filling XAT Application Form online:
The scanned copies of passport size photograph and the candidate’s signature must be in the ‘jpeg’ format and file name of Photograph and signature should preferably be ‘photo.jpeg’ and ‘sign.jpeg’ respectively. The size of both signature and photo must not be more than 1 MB.
Applicants have to take their recent color passport size photograph in digital format. The picture should be taken against a light/white background. In case the face in the photograph is not clear, the application is liable to be rejected.
File size of each of the Photograph should not be more than 1 MB per file, otherwise it may not get uploaded.
To reduce the size, crop the image of the passport size photograph in MS Paint or any other Photo Editor. Ensure that only the full face portion is cropped and not the entire photograph.
The applicant should sign (no capital letters) on a white paper with a black ink pen.
Scan the signature in 200 DPI (dots per inch) scanner resolution settings and the file size should not be more than 1 MB in jpeg format.
To reduce the size, crop the image of the signature in MS Paint or any other Photo Editor. Ensure that only the signature portion is cropped and not the entire A4 paper on which you have signed.
Applicants should open their digital or scanned photograph and signature, in MS Paint by right clicking on the photograph/signature.
Press Ctrl + W, a window will open which will have an option ‘resize by %’. Here enter anything between 10% and 50% and save the file with an extension ‘.jpeg’.
Check the size of the file in ‘properties’. If the file size is still higher than 1 MB, follow the same procedure again for resizing till it comes down to 1 MB. Save the files with the file name as ‘photo.jpeg’ and ‘sign.jpeg’.
The application process of XAT 2017 involves primarily six steps to be completed - Registration, filling of application form, uploading of images and documents, payment process, printing of confirmation page and sending of form. Candidates should be aware of how to apply for XAT before proceeding with Application Form filling. The step-by-step process is discussed below:-

In the next step, candidates have to upload a scanned copy of their passport size photograph and their personal signature. The size of both must not exceed 1 MB.
Step 4 – XAT 2017 Application fee Payment
Candidates should select the appropriate mode of payment for submitting the application fees. There are 3 options available for mode of payment: Online Gateway through Credit card and debit card; Cash Payment by visit the nearest branch of IDBI bank; demand draft from any bank made in favour of XLRI Jamshedpur A/C XAT.
Step 5 - Printing of Confirmation Page
After remitting the Application fees, candidates would be able to view the confirmation page. It is advised to keep a copy of the confirmation page for future references.
Step 6 - Sending of Form
Candidates who have made the payment of fees through Demand Draft must send a copy of confirmation page along with the Demand Draft to the following address within 15 days from date of issuance of demand draft:

The XAT Application Process through GMAT also involves registration, filling up of application form, paying the application process, uploading the documents, printing the confirmation page and sending the application form. Candidates who have paid the fees through Demand Draft have to send a copy of confirmation page along with DD to the address given below within 15 days of issuance of Demand draft:

Ans. After your registration process is complete and once you have made the payments, you will be able to download the confirmation page and there you can check your photograph and signature.
Ans. This could be a system error which would normally resolve by 1 pm the next day. Candidate must check their id. You should be receiving a message for successful payment. If the message is not received with 24-48 hours, then send an e-mail to email@example.com. Don’t make a second payment immediately.
Ans. Don’t worry, just send an e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org with your XAT ID, date of payment, card holder name and credit/debit card details (first four and last four digits and card expiry date). Your request will be handled.
Ans. Go to the IDBI Bank Branch where you paid the fees with the copy of confirmation page and request them to give you a photocopy of the pay-in-slip and put copy along with bank’s original seal and signature on it. Be careful of the slip this time!
Ans. An internet payment is bound to be interfered with system or network problems. It is advised to make cash payments for paying the registration fees.
Ans. Click on ‘Forgot Password’ and follow the procedure and you can then generate a new password.
Ans. XLRI office on receiving of the XLRI Registration Confirmation Page will verify from the bank and update the details on a first come first served basis. Candidates have to log in through their XAT id to check if their form has been received or not.
Ans. It could take a few days for XLRI Office to verify the documents and update. Kindly log in after a few days.
