VITEEE 2018 is a state level entrance exam conducted by VIT University. VITEEE is conducted to invite applications from candidates who wish to pursue four-year B. Tech Programme at VIT campuses in Chennai and Vellore. For the academic session 2018-19, approximately 5000 seats will be filled across all campuses.
The official notification regarding VIT Engineering Entrance Exam 2018 is expected to be out by the first week of November 2017. VITEEE Application Form 2018 will be available by November 2017. Interested candidates can apply through online as well as offline mode. To apply online, candidates can visit the official website of VIT i.e. vit.ac.in. To register offline, candidates will have to visit one of the select post offices to obtain VITEEE Application Form 2018. As for the application fee, it is given below:
VITEEE 2018 will be held in the month of April 2018. It is a computer-based test which will be conducted in 3 sessions per day. VITEEE Exam Pattern 2018 is decided by VIT University each year. Candidates will have to answer 120 questions within a stipulated time of 2.5 hours. Candidates will be able to check their VITEEE Result 2018 in the last week of April 2018 at the official website. Admission to all campuses will be entirely based upon VITEEE Cutoff.
It is expected that nearly 2 lacs students will be registering for VITEEE 2018, while 1.80 lacs will actually appear. Last year, Andhra Pradesh topped the list with the maximum number of registrations (34,068), followed by Uttar Pradesh, Telangana, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu and Rajasthan.

VIT University will conduct VITEEE 2018 in 3 sessions per day. Candidates will have to book their slots till the given date and select the session in which they wish to appear. Three sessions will be conducted in Morning, Noon and Evening respectively. The timings for each session have been stated below:

For the convenience of all candidates, VITEEE Application Form 2018 can be filled through both- online and offline mode. Registration for VITEEE 2018 will begin in November 2017 and will continue till February 2018. Interested candidates may fill the application form of VITEEE on the official website i.e. vit.ac.in or they can collect the offline application forms from select post offices in various cities.

To obtain VITEEE 2018 Application Form offline, candidates can visit any one the the select post offices as mentioned on the website. The application fee for VITEEE 2018 will vary according to the mode of application you choose. Candidates can refer to the mentioned application fee to apply for VITEEE 2018. For NRI candidates, the application Cost is 50 USD, drawn in favour of VIT University.
Note: Candidates paying application fee through Net banking/Credit card/Debit card need not send the hard copy of the application form to the University.

VITEEE Slot Booking 2018 will be conducted online in the second week of March 2018. It is essential for a candidate to book a slot to be able to appear for VITEEE 2018. He can choose between Morning/Noon/Evening slot. Along with the slot, candidates will also be asked to choose VITEEE 2018 Exam Centre and test date. While booking a slot for VITEEE 2018, the admit card will be automatically generated. The slot booking for VITEEE 2018 will be done in the month of March 2018. Candidates can obtain their VITEEE 2018 admit card by downloading it while slot booking. They must secure its copies as it is very important document, without which, candidates will not be allowed to sit for VITEEE 2018 test.
Once you have VITEEE 2018 Admit Card in hand, cross-check your name, father’s name, signature, photograph, exam centre, roll bumber etc. Make sure these details are true and correct. In case of any discrepancy, contact VIT University immidiately.

VITEEE 2018 will be conducted in India as well as abroad. The number of exam centres is expected to be held in approximately 119 cities. Amongst the international exam centres, VITEEE 2018 will be held in Dubai, Kuwait and Muscat.
Candidates can choose an exam centre while VITEEE Slot Booking 2018. This facility will be available in March 2018. They must first mention their choice of VITEEE 2018 Exam Centres by indicating the corresponding test center code in the online/offline application. Then they will have to confirm their choice by selecting the appropriate state and test city during the online slot booking.

Equating Methodology will be followed to carve out VITEEE 2018 Result. It is a statistical process that is used to adjust scores on test forms (that are approximately equivalent) so that scores on the forms can be used interchangeably. Thus, equating is used to adjust scores of candidates who have taken different forms of a test, in order to facilitate meaningful and fair comparison for merit list and ranking of these candidates.
The statistical procedure of Equipercentile Equating would be used to identify the percentile ranks for candidates, such that scores on different forms with the same percentile rank are considered to be equivalent. Thus, Percentile Rank is a unique and invariant position of the test taker in that group. A percentile Rank, say 90 Percentile Rank denotes that there are 90 percent of test takers scores below this score level and 10 percent above this test score.

VITEEE counselling 2018 will begin in the 2nd week of May 2018, post declaration of result. The counselling will be held in 2 phases at either Vellore or Chennai campus of VIT University. If seats remain vacant after Round 2, another round might be organised to fill the seats.
Applicants will be selected on the basis of the rank obtained in the first phase of VITEEE Counselling 2018. Post selection, they must submit INR 50,000 (includes counselling fee of INR 10,000) as admission fee. It can be paid through online or offline mode.

Cut off for VITEEE 2018 will be based on factors such as the number of applications received, number of candidates who appeared for the test, number of seats available and average score obtained by candidates, last year’s cutoff etc. Although VITEEE Cutoff is not declared by the University but each campus will declare its opening and closing ranks.
Examinees in the top merit (from 1 to 20,000) are called for participating in counselling on different days in the first phase of counselling. Therefore, the closing rank for a particular B.Tech branch in the first phase can be termed as the cutoff rank of VITEEE 2018 for that particular branch.
