UPES DAT 2017 APPLICATION & REGISTRATION
NATIONAL LEVEL ONLINE TEST
University of Petroleum and Energy Studies conducts a UPES Online Design Aptitude Test for admission to various design programmes of UPES.
UPES DAT Exam for admission to Master of Design programme will be held on 21st-22nd April and the last date to register for this is 18th April. The UPES DAT Exam for admission to Bachelor of Design and Bachelor of Fine Arts programmes will be held from 12th April to 15th April and the last date of registration is 4th April.
Students who do not have a valid NATA/NIFT/NID/CEED or other design exam score or didn’t appear for NATA/NIFT/NID/CEED or other design exam have to appear for UPES DAT exam. If selected the students will go through a Personal Interview and will present their work portfolio. This exam is aimed at evaluating the design aptitude of the candidates.
The UPES DAT exam is conducted in two ways: Online and Offline (paper-pen based) and the applicants are at a liberty to choose the mode of examination.
To apply for the UPES DAT exam, candidate will have to purchase the UPES Prospectus & Application form. Candidates can buy the form Online / by sending Demand Draft / by Cash. In the following, candidates will know more about the Application Process for UPES DAT 2017.
Applicants can apply for any mode of examination: online or offline but the method to apply for both is similar. The candidates will have to buy the prospectus and application form for UPES DAT in any of the three ways; Online / by sending Demand Draft / by Cash. The details for these three are as follows:

Step by Step process of Online Application Process
In order to complete the application process successfully, candidates have to follow the steps given below:
After the applications are successfully submitted, applicants will be able to download their admit cards roughly a week before the examination.
On the basis of information in the Application form of the candidate, admit card of provisionally eligible candidates will be uploaded on the University website www.upes.ac.in.
After downloading the admit cards, candidates will affix their passport size photograph (preferably the one attached on the application form) in the space provided on the admit card.
Candidates must carry the admit cards to the allotted test centres. Candidates without the admit card or card without the photograph will NOT be permitted to take the test.
Candidates are cautioned to fill the City code or shade correctly in their OMR/Online Application form as the allotment of required Test City will be based on this information only.
Candidates need to give both first & second choice as per their city preference in OMR/Online Application form.
