TS LAWCET Exam Pattern 2017

TS LAWCET Exam Pattern 2017 will include Multiple Choice Questions in TS LAWCET 2017 question paper. The duration of the examination is 90 minutes. It will be conducted in Telugu and English both. Candidates appearing for TS LAWCET shall mark the answers in OMR sheet using blue/black ball point pen. TS LAWCET 2017 is scheduled for May 27, 2017. 

TS LAWCET Syllabus 2017 for Law courses is based on the topics from General aptitude & Mental Ability, Current Affairs and Aptitude. TSLAWCET question paper consists of two parts with 120 questions that are objective in nature. There is no negative marking in the question paper. Check TSLAWCET Syllabus 2017

Filling the TS LAWCET Application Form 2017 will begin from March 15, 2017 onwards. TS LAWCET 2017 (Telangana State Law Common Entrance Test 2017) is an entrance examination held for admissions to LLB courses for 3 years/ 5 years duration, offered by the State Universities in Telangana State. The entrance test is conducted by Kakatiya University.

Sectional Division of TS LAWCET 2017 Question Paper

TS LAWCET 2017 question paper will be divided in three sections- Part A, Part B and Part C. Following is the table giving all the details regarding each of the section:

The questions in Part-C, Aptitude for the study of Law, elementary knowledge of the basic principles of the Law and Constitution of India on the part of the candidate is assumed. As specified earlier the time duration for TS LAWCET test will be of 90 minutes. Candidate must dedicate 20 minutes each to Part A and Part B. He / she must dedicate more time to Part C i.e. Aptitude for the study of Law.

Total of 50 minutes must be dedicated to the third and final part of the question paper of TS LAWCET 2017. Candidate must try and solve each question within time span of 1 minute.


TS LAWCET Exam Pattern 2017 Instructions

While going through the TS LAWCET Exam Pattern 2017, it is important to keep the below points in mind. Following these points will help you score better in TSLAWCET 2017.

  • Since TS LAWCET is an offline exam, do carry blue/ black pens with you to the exam centre.
  • Candidates will be given an Optical Mark Reader (OMR) to mark their responses. They must mark the correct response evidently and within the given space only.
  • Folding, wrinkling, tearing or inappropriately marking on the OMR sheet will render it invalid.
  • Only upon completion of TS LAWCET 2017 will candidates be allowed to leave their seats. They should return their TS LAWCET OMR Answer Sheet to the invigilator but will be allowed to carry their question paper with them.

TS LAWCET Syllabus 2017

Candidates appearing for TS LAWCET 2017 are expected to be acquainted with elementary knowledge of the basic principles of the Law and Constitution of India. For 5 year Law Course, the standard expected is of Intermediate level and for 3 year Law Course, the standard expected is of Degree Level. Following is the detail regarding syllabus prescribed for TS LAWCET 2017:

PART A

Part A contains 40 questions and 40 marks in total. There will be 1 mark for each question.

  2. Rights and duties - Ownership and Possession, Persons, Obligation, Property, Liability, Legal Sanctions

  2. Directive Principles of State Policy
  3. Executive Judiciary and Legislature
  4. Center-State Relations
  5. Emergency provisions
  6. Amendments to the constitution

PART B

Part B contains 80 questions and 80 marks in total. There will be 1 mark for each question.

  • PUBLIC INTERNATIONAL LAW: Total number of questions in this section will be 16 and there will be 1 mark each for every question, therefore the section will be of 16 marks.

  • MERCANTILE LAW:  There will be 16 Questions in this section with the total of 16 marks, where 1 mark is allotted for each question.
  1. General Principles of Contract (Sections. 1-75, Indian Contract Act-1872)
  • LABOUR LAW: Number of questions in this section will be 16 and total marks for the same will be 16 marks
  1. Trade Union Act 1926. Industrial Disputes Act 1947
  • CRIMES and TORTS: This section will contain 16 questions with total of 16 marks, 1 mark each for every question.
  1. CRIMES: Indian Penal Code -General Principles & General Exceptions.
  2.  TORTS: General principles of Tort, Defenses, Joint liability, State liability for torts; Consumer Protection Act,1986
  • IPR & OTHER LAWS: There will be 16 Questions in this section with the total of 16 marks, where 1 mark is allotted for each question.
