TS LAWCET Application Form 2017, Eligibility, Date, Syllabus

TS LAWCET 2017 or Telangana Law Common Entrance Test is a well-known entrance test for admission to undergraduate law courses across Telangana state. Candidates will be competing for nearly 4090 seats (2850 LLB seats and 1240 five-year Law Seats) through TS LAWCET. The exam is organized by Kakatiya University, Warangal, on behalf of TSCHE (Telangana State Council of Higher Education).

TSLAWCET Application Form 2017 is available on the official website from March 15, 2017 till April 18, 2017. Candidates can pay the registration fee through Debit Card/ Credit Card. TS LAWCET 2017 Exam Date is May 27, 2017. Once TS LAWCET Result is declared, eligible candidates will proceed to TS LAWCET admission into the various Law Colleges in Telangana for the academic year 2017-18.

Candidates must keep a note of the important dates regarding TS LAWCET 2017.The registrations for TS LAWCET 2017 will begin on March 15, 2017 and will end on April 15, 2017. These are the tentative dates. All the essential dates are listed in the table below:

TSLAWCET Eligibility Criteria 2017

TSLAWCET eligibility criteria 2017 requires candidates to be agraduate (for 3 years LLB course) or passed 2 years Intermediate Examination (for 5 years LLB Course). Candidates appearing in the qualifying examination can also apply for the TS LAWCET exam. Details of TSLAWCET Eligibility 2017 according to different courses are mentioned below:

TS LAWCET Eligibility Criteria 2017 for 3 Year LLB Course

  • Candidate has to be an Indian Citizen and must fulfil Local/Unreserved status requirement as described by Andhra Pradesh Educational Institutions.
  • Candidate should be a graduate from of a recognised University in any discipline.
  • Passing marks in the qualifying exam or any other examination recognised as equivalent by the Universities concerned must be 45%.
  • Candidate must have passed any additional graduation or post graduation with 45% if they don’t have an aggregate score of 45% in graduation.

TS LAWCET Eligibility Criteria 2017 for 5 Year LLB Course

  • The candidate has to be an Indian Citizen and must fulfil Local/Unreserved status requirement as described by Andhra Pradesh Educational Institutions.
  • The Candidates should have cleared 2 years Intermediate Examination (10+2 pattern) or any other examination recognised as equivalent by the University concerned or the Board of Intermediate Education, T.S and Bar Council of India.
  • Passing marks in the qualifying exam or any other examination recognised as equivalent by the Universities concerned must be 45%.
  • A relaxation of 5% of marks in the qualifying examinations for 3 years LLB course has been set for candidates belonging to SC/ST reserved categories.

TSLAWCET Application Form 2017 

TS LAWCET 2017 Application Form will be filled online only through the official website. Candidates will register for TS LAWCET 2017, fill the application form, upload certain documents, pay the application fees and print their filled application form.

Candidates don’t have to send a copy of their online filled application form to the college. After successful submission of online TS LAWCET application form candidates will receive a notification on the mobile number provided by them.

How to register for TS LAWCET?

In order to fill the application form of TS LAWCET 2017 candidates must follow the steps given below:

  1. Visit the official website and click on ‘Apply Online’
  2. A new page will open which would ask for “Registration Fee Payment Procedure”
  3. Candidates can choose between Telangana State (TS) Online/ Andhra Pradesh (AP) Online or Debit / Credit Card to pay the registration fee.
  4. Fill the application form and submit it
  5. Take a print out of the application form and keep for future references.

TS LAWCET 2017 Registration Fee

The online registration fee for TSLAWCET is INR 350/- for general students and INR 250/- for SC/ST students. Candidates can pay TSLAWCET 2017 Application fee via 2 modes:

  1. TS/AP online mode
  2. Debit Card/ Credit Card

If TS / AP Online mode is selected, then candidates must visit the TS / AP online centres where they will be asked about their Father’s Name, Date of Birth, Hall ticket number of S.S.C (X standard) and Mobile number.

Candidates will pay the fee and obtain its receipt for registration fee paid and ensure that it contains the Transaction ID. Then, candidates can then log in to their TS LAWCET Profile ID and will again visit the ‘Fee Payment Page’ and then will click on ‘Click here if paid through TS/AP Online.

This will open a new page of ‘Payment verification’. Candidates will the following details in the Payment Verification page and click on ‘Proceed to online form filling’:

  • Payment made through TS/AP Online Transaction Id
  • Candidate’s Name
  • Mobile number
  • Date of Birth

After the payment is cleared successfully, candidates will move on to fill application form. After the ‘Make Payment’ is clicked, a new page asking for Credit Card/ Debit Card details will open. After making the payment candidates will see a ‘Payment Successful’ page and they will click on ‘Proceed to fill Online Form’.

TSLAWCET Admit Card 2017

TS LAWCET Admit Card 2017 is an important piece of document which has to be taken to the examination hall. TSLAWCET Admit Card 2017 will be available one week before TSLAWCET. Without this, entry to the exam is not allowed. The admit card will consist of Candidate’s Name, passport size photograph, candidate’s signature, Date and time of the exam, Details of Exam Centre and Venue Details and Important instructions regarding the TS LAWCET 2017.

In order to download the TS LAWCET 2017 hall ticket, candidates will follow the steps given below:

  1. Visit the official website of TSLAWCET
  2. Click on‘Download Hall Ticket’
  3. On a new page candidate will fill details like Application Number and Date of Birth
  4. Click on ‘Get Hall Ticket’ and they will receive Admit Card.

TSLAWCET 2017 Exam Center

Candidates appearing for TSLAWCET 2017 have to choose one test centres out of 11, provided by Telangana State Council of Higher Education (TSCHE). If any candidate selects more than one examination centre, his candidature will be cancelled.

Once a Centre is allotted to a candidate, they cannot change it and any request for change of examination centre will not be entertained. Candidates have to carry their TS LAWCET admit card on the day of examination. A list ofthe TS LAWCET 2017 Exam Centres is provided below:

TSLAWCET Exam Pattern 2017

The Exam Pattern of TSLAWCETconsists of 120 multiple choice questions and the time duration of the test is 90 minutes (1 ½ hours). Candidates can choose the language of the question paper between English and Telugu. The paper will be divided into three sections: Part A- General Knowledge and Mental Ability, Part B- Current Affairs and Part C- Aptitude for the Study of Law. TSLAWCET 2017 Answer Key

Candidates can view their TS LAWCET 2017 Answer Key from May 28, 2017 onwards. They can visit the official website of TSLAWCET to view the same. To obtain the TSLAWCET Answer Key, candidates will follow the steps given below:

  1. Visit the official website
  2. At the bottom of the page candidates will find a section named, ‘Preliminary Keys’ and click on Answer key for 3 year LLB or 5 Year LLB.
  3. A new page will open which will have correct answer listed in front of question number

TSLAWCET 2017 Result

TS LAWCET 2017 Result will be declared on June 6, 2017 on the official website of TSLAWCET. To check the result, candidates will follow the steps given below:

  1. Visit the TSLAWCET 2017 official website
  2. Click on ‘Results’
  3. A new page will open where the candidate will enter ‘Hall ticket number’ and click on Submit.

After the results are declared, candidates will be able to download their rank card from June 9, 2017 onwards. In case of the any difficulty in downloading the Rank Card, candidates are advised to contact the Convener’s office. The TS LAWCET Rank Card is valid for admission into 3 year / 5 year Law Courses, as the case may be, for the academic year 2017-2018 only.

TS LAWCET 2017 Merit List

The Merit List of TS LAWCET 2017 is entirely based on the candidate’s performance in the TS LAWCET exam. No applications regarding revaluation will be entertained. In order to clear the TS LAWCET 2017 exam, a candidate must score at least 35% (i.e. 42 marks out of total 120 marks). There will be no minimum qualifying marks for S.Cs &S.Ts for ranking.

TS LAWCET 2017 Tie Breaker

In case there is a tie in ranking following methods will be used to determine the Merit:

  • Part C of TS LAWCET 2017 exam will be evaluated to see which candidate has scored the highest in that section.
  • If the tie still exists then the marks obtained in Part-B in TS LAWCET 2017 will be evaluated.
  • If the tie remains then the age of candidate will determine rank. The candidate older in age will rank higher in the merit list.

TSLAWCET Counselling 2017 

For the selection of colleges, students selected through TSLAWCET 2017 will participate in online counselling rounds. At the time of TS LAWCET Counselling 2017, candidates have to present their original documents, pay the fees and confirm their seats in the allotted colleges.

Dates regarding the Online Counselling will be uploaded on the official website. To participate in the web counselling, candidates will follow the steps given below:

  1. The candidate will be notified on their mobile number, provided by them in the application, about the dates of online counselling.
  2. Visit the official website to see the date and centre allotted to them for document verification.
  3. Once the documents are verified, candidates will receive a one time password to participate in the TSLAWCET 2017 Counselling.
  4. On the online counselling page candidates will see a list of colleges under TS LAWCET. Candidates can select from following options to choose a college:
  • Add: This is used to select colleges from the list of colleges under TS LAWCET 2017.
  • Delete: It will be used to remove a previously selected college from list of colleges under TS LAWCET
  • Modify: This option will be selected to change the priority of colleges within the selected list of colleges.
  • Save: This button should be selected after the candidate has chosen the college and it will freeze the candidate’s selection as their final choice of college.
  1. Once this is done, candidates will wait for the official list of Seat allotment for TS LAWCET to be released and continue with the admission process in the allotted college.
