TANCET 2017 PATTERN & SYLLABUS
STATE LEVEL ONLINE TEST
TANCET is a state level post graduate entrance test conducted for admission to Post Graduate Programmes in Anna University. The admission will be entirely based upon the scores and ranking secured in TANCET 2017.
TANCET for MBA/MCA is scheduled on March 25, 2017 and M.E/M.Tech exam is on March 26, 2017. The exam pattern is different for all 3 courses. Candidates can appear for more than 1 course. They can check below TANCET exam pattern for MBA, MCA and M.E./M.Tech courses.
TANCET 2017 will be pen and paper based test of 2 hours to answer 100 questionsfor 100 marks. TANCET for M. Tech/ ME / M. Plan. /M. Arch, the paper will be divided into 3 parts accounting to a total of 100 questions for 100 marks. The candidates will be awarded 1 mark for every correct answer, while 1/5 mark will be deducted at every incorrect answer. The duration of the exam is 2 hours. No extra time will be given to candidate in any condition to complete the paper. The entrance examination for admission into MBA/MCA will be of 1 paper containing multiple choice questions (MCQs). However, paper for admissions in M. Tech/ M.E/ M. Arch/ M. Plan will be divided into 3 parts viz. Engineering Mathematics, Basic Engineering & Sciences and the Elective Subject. Elective subject is chosen by candidate at the time of registration. There will be a total of 100 questions in the CET.
A candidate will be rewarded 1 mark for every correct answer and lose ¼ or 1/5 marks will be deducted for every wrong answer. A candidate can score a maximum of 100 marks in the paper. No marks will be rewarded or deducted for un-attempted questions. The TANCET 2017 OMR sheet consists of details like name and roll number of the candidate with date.

TANCET 2017 papers are designed to analyze the Quantitative, Qualitative and analytical ability along with Reasoning, Verbal Ability and candidate’s technical aptitude. The Paper will have 100 questions ranging from a reasoning problem to a quantitative problem. The exam pattern and analysis according to the course is mentioned below-

Part 3: Elective Subject chosen at the time of registration- this section contains 14 specializations, out of which only 1 is chosen.
