SSC Stenographer Results

SSC Stenographer (Staff Selection Commission Stenographer) is an examination conducted for the recruitment to the post of stenographer Grade ‘C’ and Grade ‘D’ by Staff Selection Commission. SSC stenographer Exam conducted in the last week of July, 2016. The final results for this examination hs been declared on December 1, 2016 on the official website of SSC in pdf file format.

Staff Selection Commission released the Answer Key for SSC Stenographer exam online on the official website Hearing Impaired candidate is not eligible to occupy a vacant seat for the Grade ‘C’ and Grade ‘D’ Stenographer. The merit list for SSC Stenographer exam will be prepared on the basis of both, written test results and skill based test. Following which a candidate will be appointed according to his/her merit.

SSC Stenographer Answer Key 2016

Answer Key for SSC Stenographer exam released in the first week of September, 2016. SSC stenographer Grade ‘C’ and Grade ‘D’ answer keys will be released on the official website of SSC. Candidates can check the answer key corresponding to the question booklet they are given during SSC Stenographer 2016. Candidates can submit a representation related to SSC Stenographer Answer Key online. This can be done up to second week of September, 2016. The charges for this representation will be INR 100.

Candidate can get the Answer Key by following the steps give below:

  • Firstly, visit the official website of SSC. Candidate will have to look for a link related to answer key for SSC Stenographer.
  • Once the candidate is navigated to other page, he/she will have to download the set of answer key that belongs to his/her question paper.
  • Candidate must note that the answer key will be uploaded on the official website in pdf file format.

SSC Stenographer Result for written test 2016

Final Results for SSC Stenographer exam which was conducted in last week of July, 2017, will be declared in the month of September, 2017 or October, 2017. The results for SSC Stenographer written test will determine the list of candidates eligible to move further to the skill test after which final result will be declared. SSC Stenographer written test results will be available online on the official website of SSC in a pdf file format. Candidates must secure minimum qualifying marks to successfully pass the written test. Appointment to the post of stenographer Grade ‘C’ and Grade ‘D’ will be based on both written test results and interview results.

How to check written exam results

Candidate who have appeared for SSC Stenographer written test will have to download a pdf file from the official website of SSC. Here are the steps that should be followed to get results for written test SSC Stenographer:

  • Candidate must go on the official website of SSC exams.
  • Once the candidate visits the official website, he/she must look for a link declaring ‘SSC Stenographer Written Exam Results.’
  • The link will be a pdf file format declaring the results, candidate must look for his/her roll number in the list and save the written exam results for further use.
  • Candidate who obtains the qualifying marks will be directed to another test- Skill test. Prescribed qualifying marks will be prescribed by the commission.

SSC Stenographer Result for skill test 2016

After qualifying in the written test, commission will call the candidates for skill test. The qualifying marks for skill test will be determined by the commission depending on the categories (reserved or unreserved). The list of qualifying marks for skill test will be uploaded soon after the declaration of written exam results. Candidates who will successfully qualify in the skill test will be given appointment on the basis of marks of written test and skill test combined together.

How to check skill test results

To check results for skill test of SSC Stenographer candidate must proceed with the following steps:

  • Result for skill test will also be uploaded on the official website of Staff Selection Commission.
  • A link for ‘SSC Stenographer skill test results’ will be provided on the official website.
  • Click on the link to download the pdf file and look for the roll number.
  • Candidate will be selected on the basis of both written exam results and skill test results for the final appointment.

SSC Stenographer Result Final merit list 2016

After the declaration of written test results and skill test result, a final merit list will be prepared by the Staff Selection Commission. The merit list will be prepared with the consideration of both the test results and hence the commission will offer appointment across the country for the post of Stenographer Grade ‘C’ and Grade ‘D’. The allocation of candidates will be made to User Departments depending upon their merit position and the option exercised by them. Candidates will be on probation for 2 years, they will undergo training or sit for an examination as prescribed by the controlling authority. Candidate will be considered for permanent appointment on successful completion of probation period.

SSC Stenographer Vacancies 2016

Staff Selection Commission (SSC) will upload the list of vacancies after they are finalized. Candidates looking for vacancies for the post of Stenographer Grade ‘C’ and Stenographers Grade ‘D’ may note that the vacancies are in Ministries or Departments of Central Government, including their Attached/Subordinate offices located in States and Union Territories all over the country.  The post of Stenographer will not stand suitable for Hearing Impaired candidates.

Tie Breaker

In some rare cases it is possible that two or more candidates secure equal aggregate marks. For such cases there is a tie breaking procedure that is followed by the Commission. Following are the methods that are applied one after the other to resolve the tie:

  • Candidate’s marks in the written examination are checked and the one with higher marks is selected. However, if the marks in the written test are also same then next method is applied.
  • To break the tie, candidate’s date of birth will be considered if the marks in written exam are also same. Older candidate will be given preference in such case.
  • If the second method does not conclude the tie then the final method will be to consider the alphabetical order of the name of the candidates involved in the tie.

Marks Sheet

Marks sheet for SSC Stenographer will be declared on the official website of the commission. The results for this examination will be uploaded for the candidates appearing for SSC Stenographer Written Test. The commission will declare these marks of all the candidates together within one or two days.

  1. List of candidates qualified in written examination and skill test for the vacancy of stenographer Grade ‘C’.
  2. List of qualified candidates in written examination and skill test for the vacancy of stenographer Grade ‘D’.
