The SSC MTS (Staff Selection Commission Multi-Tasking Staff) is a competitive exam conducted for the recruitment of candidates for various positions in central government departments, ministries and offices. The exam is scheduled to be conducted in April 16 and 30, 2017 & May 07, 2017 . SSC MTS 2016 results will be declared after the candidate’s answer sheets have been evaluated.

SSC MTS results is expected to be declared in Feburary, 2018. In order to successfully crack the SSC MTS exam, the candidate is required to obtain the minimum SSC MTS cut-off marks. All such candidates will find their names included in the SSC MTS merit list which would be made available within a week of the announcement of the results.
The SSC MTS results will be published on the official website of the SSC Regional Centres. In order to check the SSC MTS result, candidates have to login with the roll number on their respective SSC regional centres’ website.
SSC MTS answer key is generally released before the declaration of results. After the exam has been conducted, the candidates would be eagerly waiting to cross check their answers and get an approximate estimation of their performance in SSC MTS exam. SSC MTS answer keys are also released by some unofficial websites. But this may turn out to be erroneous in some cases and hence, it is advised to wait for the SSC to release their own key.
The official SSC MTS answer key is expected to be declared in February 2016. The step by step process to check the SSC MTS answer key is explained below:
The candidate can use the answer key as a reference for assessing his own performance in the SSC exam. A fairly accurate estimate regarding the score obtained can be achieved and the candidate can figure out what to expect from the SSC MTS results.
There may be separate answer keys for different question paper sets. So, the first step would be to download the particular answer key for the question paper set that is attempted by the candidate. Then, the candidate must cross check each question’s answer as given in the answer key against the response that he has marked in the OMR answer sheet.
In this way, the candidate can ascertain how many questions he has managed to get right and how many have been marked incorrectly. Therefore, SSC answer keycan help determine the total score obtained by the test taker in the competitive exam.
The results will be announced on the respective websites of SSC Regional Centres (RC) and candidates must remember to access the website of their corresponding RC. The steps to check the SSC results are given below:
Candidates must note that a final merit list will be published for the purpose of recruitment for multi-tasking staff.
The SSC MTS 2016 merit list will be made available on the websites of SSC Regional Centres. The cut-off may be announced region wise and it will be published on the respective regional centres’ website. While preparing the merit list for the exam, the marks obtained by the candidate are taken into consideration.
To successfully crack the exam and ensure that their name finds a place in the merit list, candidates must secure a minimum of 50% aggregate marks in SSC MTS exam. In addition to this, the candidate must also obtain a minimum of 50% score in each of the individual sections of the question paper.

The Written Test or SSC MTS exam is the initial step for the selection procedure of the SSC MTS 2016. It comprises of 2 papers- Paper 1 and paper 2. The first paper is objective type and it would act as a preliminary test. Those who are able to attain the cut-off for Paper 1 would be required to appear for Paper 2.

Note: If Paper 1 and Paper 2 are not conducted on same day then Paper 1 will be the preliminary test.
The SSC MTS 2016 Paper 2 is a descriptive type and would be the final exam. All those who are able to obtain the minimum cut-off marks in both the papers, have successfully qualified the exam. The recruitment for the various posts will be on the basis of merit list of the candidates. It must be noted that individual cut-off marks is decided by SSC for each state or UT.
The final selection of the candidate will be based on the verification of the certificates. Original certificates will be returned after the verification.
