SSC MTS 2017 APPLICATION & REGISTRATION
NATIONAL LEVEL ONLINE/OFFLINE TEST
SSC MTS (Staff Selection Commission Multi-Tasking Staff) is conducted by Staff Selection Commission (SSC) every year. It is a national level competitive exam conducted for the selection of candidates to the post of Multi-Tasking Staff in various central government departments, ministries and offices.
SSC MTS 2017 is scheduled to be conducted in April & May 2017. Candidates can apply for SSC MTS 2017 either through online from the official website of SSC or offline mode. The registration window for the receiving applications for SSC MTS would close by January 20, 2017.
The schedule for filling and submission of SSC MTS 2016 Application Form is mentioned below. All the aspirants are advised to carefully check the important dates related to the Application Process. Any Application form received after the closing date of SSC MTS 2016 Application Process will not be entertained by SSC.

Candidates must check their eligibility criteria specified by the exam conducting authority, before applying for the application process. It is important to ensure that candidates meet all the requirements, as failure to do so, may result in the rejection of candidate’s SSC MTS application.
There are various eligibility specifications relating to the applicant’s age, nationality and educational background. The detailed SSC MTS eligibility criteria are provided below:
The candidate aspiring to apply for SSC MTS exam must be either one of the following –
The candidate should be between 18 to 25 years of age, as on January 1, 2017 to be eligible for SSC MTS 2017. It must be kept in mind that the upper age limit will be relaxed for those candidates who belong to reserved categories or are physically handicapped, according to the information provided below:

To be eligible for SSC MTS 2016, the candidate must have passed the matriculation examination (class 10) or an equivalent exam from a Board that is recognised by SSC. The candidate must possess the required qualification as on the closing date of the receipt of application form. Otherwise, candidates are advised not to apply.
The application fee for SSC MTS is INR 100. Candidates belonging to SC/ST/PH categories and female candidates are exempted of paying the application fee. The following table represents the SSC MTS application fee for the candidates appearing for SSC MTS exam:

The candidates who are submitting Paper application (offline mode of SSC MTS application form) should pay the application fee by means of"Central Recruitment Fee Stamps (CRFS)" only. CRFS are available at the counter of all the Departmental Post Offices of the country. The Recruitment Fee Stamps has to be pasted on the SSC MTS application form in the space provided for the purpose and got cancelled from the Counter of Post Office of issue with the date stamp of the Issuing Post Office.
The CRFs should be cancelled in a manner that the impression or the cancellation stamp should partially overflows on the SSC MTS Application Form. The impression should be clear and distinct to facilitate the identification of date and Post Office of issue at any subsequent stage.
After getting the CRFs cancelled from the Post Office, the candidates must submit their application form to the Regional Office /Sub- Regional Office of the Commission. Candidates should note that non-cancellation of stamps from the concerned Post Office in the required manner, will lead to outright rejection of the SSC MTS application form.
The SSC MTS application fee payment can be done by any of the mentioned 4 ways:

The application form is available in both online and offline mode and candidates can choose either one of the options, according to their suitability. It must be noted that only a single SSC MTS application form will be accepted for each State / UT.
In case of multiple applications in online mode, the last application for which part-I and part-II registration have been completed will be accepted. For offline applications, only one will be accepted by the Regional Director / Deputy Director based on their discretion.
Candidates who wish to apply for a post in more than one State / UT will be required to submit separate applications for each State / UT to respective regional office. The step by step SSC MTS 2016 application process for both modes is elaborated below.
The paper application will have to be submitted in the prescribed format only. This format is available in Annexure I in the SSC MTS pdf published on the official website of SSC. The offline applications must reach the address specified by the examination body latest by 5.00 PM of the last date of application (November 07, 2016). No applications will be accepted if they reach after the deadline has expired. Candidates belonging to the following states can send their application form by November 14, 2016–
Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram, Manipur, Nagaland, Tripura, Sikkim, Jammu and Kashmir, Lahaul and Spiti District and Pangi Sub Division of Chamba District of Himachal Pradesh, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Lakshadweep and for candidates residing abroad.

The online form can be accessed by visiting the official website – www.ssconline.nic.in or www.ssconline2.gov.in Candidates must ensure that they complete the process of form filling within the specified deadline. The closing deadline will be 5:00 pm of the last date. The candidate should read the instructions carefully before filling up the SSC MTS application form.

Candidates who are seeking reservation, have to submit the essential certificates from the competent authority. It should be noted that the certificates should be in the prescribed format and issued on or before the prescribed date. There are 61 exam centres across the country where SSC MTS 2016 is conducted. Candidates will be required to select the exam centre while filling the SSC MTS application form. The SSC MTS admit card would be made available to download on the official website of SSC, about 3 weeks’ prior the date of the examination. The admit card would be put up on the official website of the respective regional centre that the candidate has submitted his SSC MTS application form.
The e-admit card is a very important document to carry on the exam day. Candidates are requested to check their admit cards after downloading it from the website. Candidate should bring at least one Photo identity proof on the exam day along with the SSC MTS admit card. Without showing the admit cards, candidates will not be allowed to sit for the SSC MTS exam.
