SSC CHSL Result 2017 (Declared at ssc.nic.in)

SSC CHSL Result 2017 has been declared on June 9, 2017. Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has announced the marks of SSC CHSL Result 2017 Tier 1 (LDC/DEO) according to the regions in its latest announcement.

  • SSC CHSL Result is announced in 3 stages- Tier I Result, Tier II Result and Tier III Result.
  • SSC CHSL Result is declared in the form of pdf which is uploaded at ssc.nic.in region wise.
  • June 1, 2017- The Commission has released the list of candidates qualified for Tier 2 exam.
  • The result for SSC CHSL will include the roll number, name, category and marks secured in the exam.

Lacs of candidates appeared for SSC CHSL 2017 and they must be waiting for their SSC CHSL Result of Tier 1 which was conducted in January – February. The result is declared in the form of pdf file which is uploaded on the official website of SSC CHSL. How to Check SSC CHSL 2017 Result?

SSC CHSL exam result for each Tier is declared separately. Once all Tier results are out, they are combined together to prepare a single SSC CHSL merit list. Candidates can check the result declared on the official website, www.ssc.nic.in.

How To Check SSC CHSL Result 2017?

In order to check the Tier 1 SSC CHSL 2017 Result, candidates are required to visit the official website of SSC. Following steps should be followed to download the Tier 1 Result of SSC CHSL  2017:

  • Visit the SSC Website.
  • Click on “Result” tab.
  • Go to the “CHSL” tab.
  • Click on the link provided for checking SSC CHSL Result.
  • A PDF file would open, search for the roll number to get the status of SSC result and marks.

Details on the Result List

Candidates can download the tier wise merit list from the official website and check for their roll number in that list.

The merit list contains the following information.

  • Roll Number of the candidate
  • Name of the Candidate
  • Category
  • Qualified for Paper 1 (Tier II), Paper 2 (Tier II), Paper 3 (Tier II), Paper 4 (Tier II)

For every paper of the next tier candidate has qualified, there is ‘Y’ marked to symbolise YES. Else, the field is left blank. 

  • Candidates who have opted to apply for the post of Junior Statistical Officer/Compiler will be considered for Paper 3 (Statistics) in Tier II.
  • Candidates who have opted to apply for the post of Assistant Audit Officer will be considered for Paper 4 (General Studies Finance and Economics) in Tier II.

SSC CHSL 2017 Merit List

Candidates who have successfully qualified and appeared for all the tiers of SSC CHSL 2017 examination can check for the declaration of Final Merit list on the official website.

This final merit list is prepared by taking the performance of candidates in all the Tiers of the SSC CHSL examinations.

How to Check SSC CHSL 2017 Merit List?

  • Visit the official website
  • Find and click on the ‘Marks of Candidates-CHSL’ link.
  • PDF file containing the roll number wise marks list will appear. This file can be downloaded.
  • Candidates can check for their results according to their roll numbers.

Details Present on the Combined Merit List

Candidates can download the combined final merit list after 2-3 months of the examination. This list will contain the details such as the roll number of the candidate, name of the candidate and the rank and overall marks obtained by the candidate.

The marks of candidates are displayed, irrespective of whether they have cleared the requisite cut off.

Tie Break Criteria

If two are more candidates have obtained the same overall combined score, the priority is given to the candidate who has scored more in the written test (Tier II). 

  • In case, the tie is still not resolved, the performance of candidates in Tier II examination is taken into consideration and candidates will be ranked accordingly in the merit list.
  • If the tie still persists, marks obtained in Tier I of the examination are taken into account and then merit list is prepared accordingly.
  • If candidates have performed exactly the same in all the Tiers of SSC CHSL 2017 examination, the tie is resolved by comparing their birth dates. The older candidate gets the preference.
  • In case candidates are exactly of same age, candidates will be ranked alphabetically.

SSC CHSL Recruitment Process

  • SSC CHSL is conducted for recruitment of LDC and DEO at various ministries and other government organizations. The Recruitment of LDC/DEO is done through SSC CHSL in 3-stages. viz. SSC CHSL Tier 1, Tier 2 and Tier 3.
  • Candidates are required to clear all the 3-tiers/stages to be able to get shortlisted for the next round of recruitment process. After clearing SSC CHSL tier 1, candidates are shortlisted for Descriptive Test and there on in similar fashion for Skill Test.
  • To get shortlisted for the post of LDC/DEO, a candidate must secure marks obtained above the mentioned SSC CHSL Cut Off.
  • On the basis of merit ranking in SSC CHSL Merit List, candidates will be considered for recruitment of SSC CHSL.
  • Marks obtained in all the tiers are considered for determining SSC CHSL Merit List.
  • The final selection of the candidate is based on the verification of the certificates. 
  • Certified true copies or Photostat copies of the certificates are not accepted in any case.
