SRMJEEE 2017 Application Form

SRMJEEE 2017 Application form for Indian nationals and foreign candidates is released on different dates. For Indian Nationals, SRMJEEE Registration begins from November 18, 2017 while for International candidates, it begins from October 13, 2017.

The candidates can register online at srmuniv.ac.in and then fill the application form. Candidates have to fill the complete form in one go. Candidates have to submit the application form after which they receive an application number. Further, selection of exam date and slot timing is done during SRM Slot Booking.

Candidates have to submit the application fee of INR 1060 (non-refundable) through e-payment or Unique Voucher. It can also be remitted through a DD in favor of SRMIST, payable at Chennai. Post the hard copy of the SRMJEEE Application form to the Kattankulathur campus before the last date to appear for the exam.

  • Candidates are given only 2 attempts to fill the application form for SRMJEEE. So, they are advised to fill the form correctly in first attempt only.
  • Candidates have to pay Rs 1060/- per slot either through e-payment/Unique voucher or Demand draft.

SRMJEEE 2017 Registration Dates

The candidates can now download their SRMJEEE Admit Card from the official website of SRM University. Candidates have to send and submit the applications by April 25, 2017 to appear for the exam. Here is the list of important events for the registration process of SRMJEEE:

SRMJEEE 2017 Eligibility

The candidates who apply for the SRMJEEE Exam have to satisfy the eligibility for the exam. The academic qualification for any course is clearing Class XII from a recognised board. The minimum marks required to apply forSRMJEEE is 60% aggregate in science subjects.

The candidates who top the state or central board are eligible for direct admissions. The top 1,000 IIT JEE rank holders are also eligible to get direct admissions in SRM University for B.Tech programmes. The candidates who have secured highest marks in any of the districts of Tamil Nadu are also eligible for direct admissions to undergraduate engineering exams in SRM University. 


Important Instructions for SRMJEEE Registration

The candidates who apply must read all the instructions carefully while filling the application form for SRMJEEE. There will be no provision of form correction after submission of the form. The important registration instructions are given below:

  • All details like the candidate’s name, parents’/guardians’ name, date of birth should be as per their High School/Higher Secondary School examination certificate.
  • As incomplete application forms will not be entertained, applicants must ensure that their SRMJEEE 2017 application form is complete in all respects. The application form of SRMJEEE 2017 needs to be filled in English language only.
  • They must retain a photocopy of the filled-in SRMJEEE application form 2017 for future reference and quote the application number in all correspondence.

How to fill SRMJEEE Application Form

The SRMJEEE application form is available online on the official website of SRM University. The last date to submit the filled-in application form at the university office is last week of March, 2017.

It must be noted that applications received after the due date will not be accepted. A photocopy of the filled in application form must be retained for future reference. To avoid any delay in delivery of the form at the office, candidates should post their applications well in advance using trusted postal services.

For online application, candidates will need to fill out the online application form and pay online. In case the candidate has selected offline mode, he will need to obtain the OMR application form and then fill it out. The filled in application will have to be sent to the university address.

The step by step process to fill the SRMJEEE Application Form 2017 is explained below:

  1. Fill in your complete name as it appears in your Class X certificate.
  2. Mention your gender and date of birth, as in the Class X certificate.
  3. Choose the appropriate community.
  4. Pick your home state from the list given.
  5. Provide a correct and valid mobile number.
  6. Provide a recent passport size photograph in the form.
  7. Sign at the appropriate place.
  8. Enter details of your educational background such as degree, marks and college and year of passing.
  9. Choose a test city center according to your preference.
  10. Pick any five options for your engineering course in order of preference.
  11. Provide your complete postal address.
  12. Read and accept the declaration.

Payment Method

Candidates can pay the application fee through the online portal on the official website. The application fee is INR 1060. First, the candidate must visit www.srmuniv.ac.in and register for the exam. The fee can then be paid online using a credit or a debit card or through net banking. A prepaid voucher with a Unique Voucher Code can also be used to pay the form fee.


SRMJEE Registration for Foreign and NRI Applicants

There is a different procedure that foreign and NRI candidates must follow in order to apply for SRMJEEE 2017. The steps are described below:

Submission of Application

Provide all the requisite details such as your name, email address, date of birth, country you belong to, your mobile number, your programme and the branch preferred SRMJEEE 2017 Application Form for International and NRI applicants.

Submit the documents mentioned below at the time of admission:

  • Mark Sheet of Class XII
  • A copy of Passport belonging to parents or sponsor
  • Proof of NRI status of Student or Parent or Sponsor

Provisional Admission Letter (PAL)

After submission of applications, the provisional letter will be emailed to the candidate comprising of tuition fee and other fees details.

Payment of Fee

After the receipt of PAL, candidates must pay the fee in US Dollars. The fee must be paid through electronic transfer within 10 days of filling the SRMJEEE application form.  The details of bank account into which the fee is to be credited will be mentioned in the PAL.

After the fee has been paid, candidates must fill in details of fee payment in the “Electronic Fund Transfer" form. After form filling, it will have to be scanned and sent to ir.accounts@srmuniv.ac.in by email. This is a mandatory step.

Confirmed Admission Letter (CAL)

A confirmation of the entire fee for the first year will be done. Then, officials will conduct a verification of documents provided by the candidate. After this, the Confirmed Admission Letter (CAL) will be sent to the candidate to his registered e-mail.

It must be noted that admission will be offered on “Merit-cum-First Come First Serve” basis. Candidates who fail to pay the application fees on time will not be given admission.

After receiving the CAL, candidates can use this document for reference when applying for student visa, ticketing, insurance and other purposes.
