SRMCAT 2017 Application Process

SRMCAT 2017 (SRM Common Admission Test 2017) is conducted by SRM University (Sri Ramaswamy Memorial University). It is held for the first year of MBA programme offered at the following campuses of SRM University:

SRMCAT 2017 Application form can be filled both in online mode and offline mode. The link for submission of the SRMCAT 2017 Application form will be available at www.srmuniv.ac.in, which is the official website for SRMCAT 2017. The last date for submitting the SRMCAT 2017 Application form, both online and offline is March 30, 2017.

Candidates who have obtained a Bachelor’s degree or are appearing in the final year of their Bachelor’s degree are eligible to apply for the SRMCAT 2017.

SRMCAT 2017 Important Dates

The last day to apply for SRMCAT 2017 is March 30, 2017. The exam will be held on April 23, 2017 and April 24, 2017. It is very important for the candidates to remember SRMCAT 2017 Important Dates so that they do not miss any deadline. Given below are the SRMCAT 2017 Important Dates in the table:

Eligibility Criteria for SRMCAT 2017

The eligibility criteria are the conditions that a candidate must fulfil to be allowed to take the SRMCAT 2017 exam. Each of the following criteria must be fulfilled by the candidate and failure to meet even one of the following will lead to rejection of the SRMCAT 2017 Application form and cancellation of candidature in the subsequent stages of the admission process.

  • Candidate must possess a Bachelor’s Degree of minimum 3 years duration from any recognized university, or its equivalent,
  • Minimum 60% aggregate at graduation level
  • Candidates with valid GMAT, CAT, MAT, XAT, TANCET, and CMAT score are also eligible to apply.
  • Candidates who are appearing in their final year of Bachelor’s degree examination are also eligible to apply, provided that they fulfil the above criteria by the time of counselling.

SRMCAT 2017 Application Process

The application for SRMCAT 2017 can be made both online and offline. The process of application via both the modes and the process of payment of application fee are explained in the following sections.

Online mode of SRMCAT Application 2017

  1. Log on http://apply.srmuniv.ac.in/srmmbaapp/AppCont and click on SRMCAT Registration.
  2. To register, provide Name, email ID, date of birth, mobile number and captcha code.
  3. After registering successfully, a login ID and password will be generated.
  4. Now, click on the application link.
  5. An online SRMCAT Application form will appear.
  6. Provide personal details such as Name, gender, community, date of birth, mobile number.
  7. Next, provide address, phone number and STD code.
  8. Give details of the qualifying examination: year of passing, name of institutes, university, degree, specialization, passed/ appearing and percentage of marks.
  9. If a candidate has appeared for any competitive entrance exam such as TANCET, CAT, GMAT, XAT, MAT, and CMAT, then he or she has to check the relevant box.
  10. The final step of the application process is to pay the SRM Application fee, the details of which are explained below.

Payment of Application fee for SRMCAT 2017

Application fee for SRMCAT 2017 is Rs. 900, which can be paid both online and offline. If applied online, a candidate has two options to pay the SRMCAT Application fee:

  • Pay online/ using a prepaid Unique e- Voucher code
  • Demand Draft: After registering and applying online, a candidate can pay through a Demand draft of Rs 900 drawn in favour of SMRIST, payable at Chennai. The name of the candidate and address must be mentioned on the reverse of the DD, and it must be received before the application deadlines.

Offline mode of SRMCAT Application 2017

The SRMCAT 2017 Application can be made offline also. A candidate can obtain the SRMCAT 2017 application form by payment of Rs 900, at any of the following SRM campuses:

SRMCAT 2017 Admit Card

SRMCAT 2017 Admit card is an essential document without which no candidate will be allowed to enter the examination hall/ venue and take SRMCAT 2017 by personal appearance. The Admit card must be in original and valid.

After successfully applying and paying the Application fee for SRMCAT 2017, the candidates will receive the admit card on the same day.

The SRMCAT 2017 Admit card will be uploaded for only those candidates who are found eligible to take the SRMCAT 2017 according to the eligibility guidelines.

The SRMCAT 2017 Application form must be submitted online or offline, along with the payment of the application fee, on or before the application deadline, otherwise the candidate will not get his/ her SRMCAT 2017 Admit Card.

How to download SRMCAT 2017 Admit card?

  1. Log in the account on the Official Website, using the login ID and password, created while applying for the SRMCAT 2017.
  2. Click on the link for SRMCAT 2017 Admit Card.
  3. Enter registration number and date of birth.
  4. If the information provided is correct, press submit button.
  5. The SRMCAT 2017 Admit card will open in form of a pdf file.
  6. Download the pdf file of the SRMCAT 2017 Admit card by clicking on the download icon.
  7. Save this pdf file on your computer for further reference and to take a printout if the same.
  8. Take a printout of the downloaded SRMCAT 2017 Admit card using an A4 size paper, and make sure to carry it, along with a valid ID proof, to the allotted examination centre. Without this printout of the admit card, no candidate will be allowed to take the test.

The candidates should keep their SRMCAT 2017 Admit card safe till the entire admission process is over.

Information mentioned on the SRMCAT 2017 Admit Card

The SRMCAT 2017 Admit card will have the following information about the candidate:

  • Name of the candidate
  • Roll number of the candidate
  • Examination centre that is allotted
  • Date and time of the examination
  • Photo of the candidate
  • Signature of the candidate
  • Instructions for the candidates for the examination day

If SRMCAT 2017 Admit Card is lost/ not received/ discrepancy

The candidates must read all the information mentioned on the SRMCAT 2017 Admit card carefully and verify the same.
