SBI PO Recruitment 2017: Exam Dates, Hall Ticket, Syllabus
SBI PO is conducted for recruitment of Probationary Officers in SBI and its subsidiary branches. The exam is conducted on a national level. SBI PO 2017 (State Bank of India Probationary Officer) will be held in 2 phases- preliminary and main. The online registration is closed now.
Candidates who qualify in SBI PO Pre exam and shortlisted candidates will appear for SBI PO Mains examination. SBI conducts a pre-exam training for the candidates belonging to reserved categories and minority categories. The pre-exam training is conducted before SBI PO Pre-examination.
SBI PO 2017 Prelims is scheduled from April 29 & 30 and May 06 & 07, 2017 while the SBI PO 2017 Main exam is scheduled for June 04, 2017. The final selection of candidates for SBI PO 2017 would be made on the basis of Group exercise and interview.

SBI PO 2017 final result is expected to be announced in the 1st week of August 2017. Candidates must possess a bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognised university. The upper age limit for SBI PO 2017 is 30 years.

SBI PO 2017 Eligibility
It is mandatory for the candidates to gratify all the eligibility conditions before applying for the SBI PO registration process. Candidates should accomplish the lower age limit, educational qualification, to be eligible for SBI PO exam. The candidate must be an Indian National to be eligible for SBI Probationary Officer Recruitment.
Candidates who have a complaint against them regarding character, moral turpitude, a complaint regarding repayment of loans are not eligible to apply for the post.
At any stage, if a candidate is found ineligible for the exam, will be disqualified from further rounds of SBI PO recruitment process.
Candidates aspiring to appear in SBI PO exam should possess a graduation degree in any discipline from a recognized university or from the central government. Candidates who are pursuing education and are in their final semester or final year may apply. But candidates will have to produce a proof of having passed in graduation on or before August 31, 2017.
Candidates who are below 21 years of age and above 30 years as on April 1, 2017, are not eligible to apply for SBI PO recruitment. Candidates who have been born after April 2, 1986, and before April 1, 1995, are eligible, inclusive of both days.

SBI PO 2017 Application Fee
After completing the registration process, candidates have to pay SBI PO application fee, to complete the SBI PO application process. A number of fees that is to be paid for the application process of SBI PO 2017 vary according to the category, the aspirant belongs.

SBI PO 2017 Application Process
SBI PO Application form can be filled in online mode only. Before filling the SBI PO Application Form, firstly, a candidate has to register him on the official website of SBI PO. Given below are the steps for filling the SBI PO application form-
- Visit the official website of SBI PO.
- Go to careers tab.
- Click on the SBI PO application process link.
- Login using the assigned credentials.
- Provide all the necessary details as asked in the SBI PO Application Form.
- After the entire form has been filled, verify all details to ensure they are correct.
- Upload the scanned copies of photograph and signature.
- Click on the “submit” button. Please note that details cannot be modified after this stage.
- Complete the SBI PO application fee payment using any one of the online methods available.
- Save the e-receipt generated and take a print out of the completed SBI PO application form.
- The copy of the completed form need not be sent to the bank.
Photograph and Signature Guidelines
At the time of completing SBI PO Application Form, a candidate has to upload the scanned copies of his recent coloured size photographs and signature. It must be noted that the online application will not be registered if these documents uploaded do not meet the specifications mentioned by SBI.
Photograph- The face of the candidate in the photograph should be clear and easy to recognize. The photograph should be a recent and coloured one. The dimension of the photograph should be 200 X 230 pixels. Its size must be in between 20 KB to 50 KB.
Signature- The signature should be of 140 X 60 pixels and its size should be in between 10 KB to 20 KB.
SBI PO 2017 Admit Card
SBI PO admit cards is now available for download at the official website of SBI PO. The admit cards would not be sent by post or any other media to the candidates. SBI PO Admit Cards is different for the SBI PO pre-exam training, SBI PO Prelims Exam and SBI PO Main Exam.

SBI PO 2017 Exam Pattern
The SBI PO 2017 is computer based test i.e. an Online Mode test. It is a 2 stage entrance test for recruitment as a PO namely Preliminary examination and Main examination & Description Test. There are objective type questions in English Language only for each stage of the SBI PO exam.
In the description test, questions are asked on letter writing and essay writing.
The reserved category candidates (SC/ST) and minority community’s candidates will be provided with a pre-exam training by SBI. It is free of cost training programme.
The preliminary exam of SBI PO 2017 is an online mode examination with 3 sections namely English, Quantitative Aptitude and Reasoning. SBI PO Descriptive Test
Descriptive type test is an English language test, and it is administered immediately after the objective test. This test is based on letter writing and essay writing.The descriptive test is of 50 marks and it is to be completed in 30 minutes.
This test judges the writing skills of the candidates aspiring for the post of Probationary Officer in SBI Bank.
SBI PO 2017 Result
SBI PO Pre exam result would be declared on July 18, 2017. The corrected scores obtained by each of the candidates in all the sections of the SBI PO exam will be normalised by the equi-percentile method. Only up to 2 decimal points, scores would be taken for the calculation. SBI PO mains exam would be declared by August 16, 2017.

SBI PO 2017 Cut Off

SBI PO 2017 Selection Process
The candidates are shortlisted for the vacant position in the State Bank of India, depends upon their performances in SBI PO Pre, SBI PO Mains and Group Discussion & Interview. Thus, the SBI PO Selection Process is 3 stage recruitment process which are:

SBI PO Preliminary Examination
SBI PO Prelims is an online objective test of 1-hour duration. It would be conducted in last week of April, 2017. It is the very first stage of SBI PO recruitment process. SBI PO Pre comprises of 3 sections- English Language, Reasoning Ability and Quantitative Aptitude.
The total marks of SBI PO pre-exam are 100 marks. Candidates must score minimum qualifying marks in all the sections in order to get qualify for the next round of SBI PO recruitment process.
SBI PO Main Examination
The candidates shortlisted for the main examination have to appear for the same on 1st week of June, 2017. It is 200 marks examination comprising of 4 sections (English Language, Quantitative Aptitude, Logical Reasoning & Computers, and General/Economy/Banking Awareness).
Descriptive test of 50 marks would be conducted immediately after the objective test. The corrected scores obtained by each of the candidates in different sessions (if held) will be normalised using the equi-percentile method.
Scores up to 2 decimal points shall be taken for the purpose of calculations. Candidates are shortlisted for interview by considering the scores obtained in the main examination.
SBI PO Group Discussion and Interview
The candidates who qualify the SBI PO mains exam eligible to appear for GD and interview. Post conduction of the interview, a combined score is generated which includes the sum of marks obtained in main examination and interview.
