Information on NMAT Scorecard

The NMAT score card will contain the following details:

nmat results

  • Scaled score for each section
  • A total score
  • A percentile ranking

The tabulated score in each section will include score within the defined limit:

Section Score range
Quantitative skill 0-144
Language skill 0-96
Logical skill 0-120
Total0-360

These section wise scores will be released after 4-5 weeks of the entrance examination. The scores are divided into three categories i.e. scaled scores, historical percentile ranking, and final percentile scores.

Following is the explanation of all the score categories:

Scaled Scores:

  • This process is designed to ensure that final scores secured by the candidates are not affected by different test forms. Basically, this procedure helps to put all the test forms together by comparing raw scores obtained by the candidates on a common scale.

Final Percentile Scores:

  • This is the real score that is to be considered final for the year 2017-2018. This score is considered final for all the candidates who have appeared for the NMAT 2017 exam series. Candidates who have appeared for the re-test by their choice will have their historical percentile score as the final score for the year 2017.

Historical Percentile Ranking:

  • The historical percentile rankingis percentile score relative to the last year score of the candidates.
  • The pool of candidates who appeared for the exam change, but the score obtained finally by the last pool of candidates is considered while preparing the present score.
  • So the ranking thus obtained by any candidate is called historical percentile ranking as this is the ranking which the candidate has obtained relative to the past year score.

What after NMAT Results?

Post declaration of NMAT Results, the second stage of selection will begin. Candidates in the second stage will be tested through GD/Essay and PI round. Every Institute has a different & specific process for the second stage of selection.
