NATIONAL LEVEL ONLINE TEST

NMAT Registration 2017

NMAT Registration 2017 began from July 4, 2017, and will close on October 3, 2017. Candidates willing to register themselves can visit the official website i.e. nmat.org.in. This year, over 80,000 candidates are expected to register for NMAT

Here are some key points about NMAT Application Form:

  • An applicant must possess a Bachelor’s Degree with at least 50% marks to apply for NMAT. Check NMAT Eligibility
  • NMAT Registration 2017 can only be done in online mode. There is no provision of obtaining NMAT Application Form through offline mode.
  • All applicants must pay INR 1800 as NMAT Application Fee.
  • Applicants can also reschedule their examination from the date of commencement of application process until December 15, 2017. 

Candidates are required to select the date, time slot and NMAT test center at the time of NMAT Registration. The slots are allotted on first- come, first serve basis to the candidates. A confirmation email will be sent after the allocation of the test slot within the stipulated time frame. NMAT 2017 will be conducted between October – December 2017, under the guidance of Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC). Check  NMAT 2017 Exam Dates

NMAT 2017 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must carefully go through the eligibility criteria of NMAT before filling NMAT Application Form. For all MBA programs,  candidates are required to hold a Bachelor’s degree with at least 50% aggregate marks, in order to be eligible for appearing in the test.  All details of NMAT eligibility criteria are presented course-wise below:

How to Register for NMAT 2017?

  • NMAT Registrations 2017 will begin from July 4, 2017.
  • The last date to fill NMAT Application form 2017 is October 3, 2017.
  • However, candidates who fail to register within the stipulated time, can also register till October 12, 2017 by paying the requisite late fee.
  • Please note that NMAT Registrations can only be done in online mode at the official website.

Instructions before Registering for NMAT

Some of the salient features of the registration process are discussed below:

  • Candidates must adhere to the specifications given for uploading photograph at the time of Registration. They include:
  1. Format: JPEG format, 200 pixels high and 150 pixels wide.
  2. Size: not more than 500 KB.
  3. Background: white /light colored.
  4. Eyes should be open and clearly visible.
  5. The face should face forward, be distinctly visible and centered.
  6. Shoulders should be visible.
  7. Photograph should not be more than 6 months old.
  8. Facebook photos should not be used as it does not meet the requirements.
  9. Photos in which identity cannot be sufficiently be ensured, should not be used.
  10. Photos with a dark background will not be accepted.
  • Candidate should have a valid Email IDbefore starting registration since all information such as payment-received confirmation is communicated through email.
  • Go through the details regarding qualification and grades required for admission into different MBA programs.
  • Registrations with incomplete details and improper photo format will be rejected. Tests or test scores shall stand cancelled if incorrect details are furnished
  • Multiple registrations leading to multiple registration numbers will result in cancellation and fee will not be refunded.
  • Candidates will be able to edit only certain fields like Programme Selection and Candidate Preferences in their registration form after submitting the registration fee.
  • Changes for submitted NMAT 2017 applications are not entertained.

How to Fill NMAT Application Form?

Candidates are advised to follow the stepwise procedure in order to register for NMAT:

Step 1: Click on “Register Now” in the Quick Links on the right side of the official site of NMAT 2017 Registration

Step 2: Enter a valid email ID. Click on “No, I am a new user”. New user registration details will open, enter your first and last name and choose a password. Click on “Register and Sign In” button.

Step 3: A new window will appear prompting you to complete the online NMAT application form.

Step 4: Validate the authentication emailsent to your email ID.

Step 5: Candidates need to fill the details in the online NMAT 2017 application form related to their personal, educational and work experience. Choose schools to send their scores under the "Programme Details" section. Up to 7 programmes are included in your registration fee. An additional fee of INR 200 + applicable taxes will be applied for each programme added in excess of 7 programmes.

Step 6: For any clarification regarding what needs to be completed in each field, click on the “Registration Guide”. Applicants must read the Terms and Conditions and click on the “I Agree”button to accept.

Step 7: Once the “Submit” button is clicked, no other changes can be made EXCEPT “Update Programme Selection/ Retake” and “Update Candidate Preferences” sections.

Step 8: Click on the Submit button to complete registration.

Step 9: Note down your unique NMAT Registration Number.

Step 10: Pay the applicable exam fee

Step 11: Click on the “Click here to make payment” link that appears along with the NMAT Registration Number. The Make Payment screen will display the payment options. Candidates can pay by Debit Card/Credit Card/Net banking and Demand Draft.

Step 12: After successful registration, candidates will receive an email with their unique NMAT Registration Number. They should use this NMAT Registration Number for all future correspondence with GMAC.

Step 13: After the application and fee is accepted by GMAC, candidates will receive an email with their username and password to logon to www.pearsonvue.com/nmatbygmac and schedule their test on a preferred date and time slot, subject to availability at the stipulated test centers for NMAT .

Documents required for NMAT Registration

  1. Semester-wise/trimester-wise/ consolidated mark sheet of all years from the college candidate has graduated from.
  2. Internet copies can be submitted with a mandatory attestation/seal and signature of the head of the Institute.
  3. CGPA/GPA converted to percentage in written obtained from the Institute from which the candidate has completed undergraduate education


NMAT 2017 Application Fee

Candidates have to complete the application process and pay the stipulated Application Fee within a specific window period in any of the prescribed modes. The candidate must register for NMAT in order to schedule and take the exam. Following is the test fee structure for NMAT:

Mode of Payment

Following Modes of Payment are available for registration for NMAT:

  • Visa
  • MasterCard
  • American Express
  • Debit Card
  • Net Banking
  • Diners Club

NOTE: In order to reschedule the test, the payment must be made only through credit card- Visa, MasterCard or American Express only.

Forfeit of NMAT 207 Test Fee

Candidates have to comply to certain rules and regulations issued by the exam conducting authority. Candidates’ registration fee shall be forfeited in the following scenarios:

  1. Make multiple registrations
  2. Appear for test under multiple registrations
  3. Cancel their registration
  4. Do not schedule a test
  5. Cancel their scheduled test
  6. Reschedule their test less than 72 hours of the originally scheduled test
  7. Do not appear for their scheduled test
  8. Provide a false disability certificate. Additionally, they shall be barred from taking the test. GMGC reserves the right to lodge a complaint with the police authorities against such test takers.

Guidelines for NMAT Application Fee

Apart from the methods listed above, candidates can even make the payment through Demand Draft. The details for the same are mentioned below:

  1. Candidates are required to make the demand draft in the name of "Graduate Management Global Connection India Private Limited” payable at Gurgaon, India.
  2. Candidates should send the Demand Draft (payable at Gurgaon) along with the advice form available on this site to the following address:

  1. At the back of the Demand Draft, the test taker must provide the following details: candidate name, NMAT Registration number and Programme(s) selected.
  2. The envelope shall be super scribed with the words " NMAT REGISTRATION"
  3. Test takers registering through Demand Draft MUST ensure that the Demand Draft is mailed sufficiently early for it to be delivered on or before 11:59 PM IST on
  1. Oct 3, 2017 for the test takers registering under the Registration window
  2. Oct 12, 2017 for the test takers registering under the Late Registration window.
  3. No exceptions for late receipt/delivery of payment will be entertained under any circumstances.
  1. GMAC shall not be held liable for late or non- delivery of any material or information sent by it through e-mail or regular mail.
  2. Cases where no refund shall be provided:
  • Candidates who fail to appear for a scheduled test
  • Arrive late at the testing center on the test date
  • Fail to meet the identification, admit card and confirmation e-mail requirements
  • Fail to meet the exact test terms and conditions

7. Print the payment advice once the payment is realized by logging in on the Registration Website


NMAT 2017 Scheduling and Retake

  • Candidates can start scheduling their NMAT appointments once the registration process has been completed and the fee is paid and processed.
  • The official dates to reschedule your exam are from October 8- December 17, 2017.
  • The fee for retaking NMAT is INR 1800, while the fee for rescheduling is INR 1000.
  • Here are the key points to know about NMAT Rescheduling and Retaking:
  1. Candidate will receive username and password 24 hours after the fee is received, in order to schedule the test.
  2. Candidates will be able to choose their preferred date, time (slot) and center based on a first come first serve basis.
  3. Candidates can follow the link: www.pearsonvue.com/nmat by GMGC to understand how to schedule the test.
  4.  A candidate can schedule only one test attempt at a time. (Candidates may not get their preferred date, slot and center if other test takers have already taken up the available seats for a particular date, slot and center.)
  5. Candidates will be allowed to schedule their test any time during the scheduling window (subjected to real time availability) for any slot, which is a minimum of 24 hours later than the time that they carry out scheduling transaction in Person VUE system.
  6. They are not required to make any extra payment for scheduling their test for the first attempt.
  7. Candidates would receive the confirmation e-mail from Pearson VUE as soon as they schedule the test including test center name and address, the test date and start time of the test.
  8. Candidates who do not receive their confirmation e-mails within 24 hours of scheduling a test can call the helpdesk number on 09213027791/09213027792 – Monday to Friday (except public holidays - 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM IST) to seek assistance.
  9. Candidates not appearing for their scheduled test will be marked "No Show" for the attempt with no refund.

NMAT 2017 Test Retake

Candidates have the flexibility to retake the test twice i.e., up to 3 maximum attempts for an admission cycle. The following details will help candidates to plan and retake the test on time:

  1. Login with the same username and password used earlier to schedule the first attempt on www.nmat.org.in.
  2. Candidate doesn’t need to fill the form again as previously filled information is already present
  3. Payment for the retake is required.
  4. Candidate can retake twice (includes test slots where they don’t show up)
  5. Candidate will be allowed to schedule the retake test on a date which is 15 or more days later than the date of the previous attempt.
  6. The Test Retake schedulingwindow will be open from October 8, 2017, to December 17, 2017.
  7. Test takers will be allowed to schedule their test any time during the scheduling window (subjected to availability) for any slot which is a minimum of 24 hours later than the time that they carry out scheduling transaction in Pearson VUE system.
  8. Seat availability in terms of NMAT test center, slot and date will be on a first come first serve basis.

Late Registration for NMAT 2017

Candidates who are not able to register before October 3, 2017 can register during the following period:

  • In the time frame from October 4 to October 12, 2017.
  • Program selection and Candidate Preferences: are the only fields that can be edited after paying the Registration fee.
  • Candidate should thoroughly check all information entered before submitting application
  • No changes will be entertained after submission

Guidelines for Physically Handicapped Person

The disabilities which are considered under Physically Disabled Category are indicated below:

  • Visually Challenged
  • Leprosy-cured
  • Hearing impairment
  • Locomotor disability (disability to walk)
  • Cerebral palsy
  • Dyslexia or Learning Disability

The candidates applying under Physically Handicapped Category should read the following instructions carefully before starting the NMAT 2017 Registration Process:

  1. Disabled candidates can request for special assistance by filling in the details in the online application while registering and must upload the Disability Certificate to the registration application in order to be approved for necessary accommodation.
  2. Any request received after the closure of Registration Application will not be accepted.
  3. In case the chosen test center does not provide support to the disabled then the Pearson representative will advise the candidate to choose another test center.
  4. Only visually impaired candidates can bring their own scribe only after submission of a scribe request in a specific format and approval from Pearson VUE.
  5. Mobility assistance will be available for those with mobility impairments.
  6. Test takers need to confirm their email ID before initiating their registration. Confirmation of completed registration and payment will be sent by email on the confirmed email ID only. GMGC shall not be held responsible for non-receipt of confirmation or bouncing of email.
  7. Any test taker who provides a false certificate shall be barred from taking the test and the test fee shall be forfeited. GMGC reserves the right to lodge a complaint with the Police authorities against such test takers.

Hi Anwesha, You must send a mail to nmatbygmacsupport@pearson.com, stating the issue and then asking them to cancel the registration process. Also, if the same is not done you may be debarred from the exam system for a year.
