NIFT 2017 Application Form

NIFT Application Form 2017 is available on the official website of National Institute of Fashion Technology- nift The whole process of Registration can be done through online mode only. The window for registration closed on January 10, 2017.

Candidates seeking admission in various fashion and design UG and PG courses offered in NIFT Institutes, participate in the exam. NIFT 2017 is scheduled on February 12, 2017. The NIFT Admit Card 2017 is now available on the official website for download.

NIFT 2017 Exam Dates

How to fill NIFT Application Form 2017?

The eligible candidates can fill the NIFT Admission Form via online mode only. They are required to visit the official website of NIFT. The application form must be filled in English language only. Mentioned below are the steps that needs to be followed for getting registered for the exam of NIFT:

STEP 1: For the candidates who haven’t created Login ID

  • Candidates are required to create a login id. For this, visit the following link- and click on FRESH CANDIDATE to create a new login id.
  • Candidates must have valid email id for this process because all the information regarding entrance exam will be provided by NIFT on the provided email ID.
  • Candidates have to fill the details to register for any program of their choice and click on the SUBMIT button.
  • Candidates should carefully fill their information as after submitting they will not be allowed to change the details.
  • The confirmation for the same will be sent on to the candidates’ email id.
  • Candidates should remember their email id and date of birth for logging in to their account.

Required Documents & Information: -

Candidates should have the following documents before filling the application form :-

  • Valid Email ID.
  • Personal and educational qualification details.
  • SC/ST/OBC candidates must have their caste certificate with them.
  • Differently Abled candidates should have their disability certificate.
  • Scanned photograph in jpg/jpeg format and size should not be more than 50KB.
  • Scanned image of candidates’ signature in jpg/jpeg format and size should not exceed 50KB.
  • Candidates should have their debit/credit card details in case they want to make an online payment.

STEP 2: For the candidates who have created a Login ID

  • Candidates who have created login id should visit this link- 2017 and after clicking on this link they have to login by choosing already logged in candidate option.
  • After logging in, 4 actions will appear- Fill Application, Upload Image, Make Payment and Print Application.

Common Instructions for candidates:

  • Personal and Educational details need to be filled carefully.
  • SAVE the details after filling the application.
  • Information can be edited by again logging in and they have to again SAVE the details which have been edited.
  • Recent passport size colored photograph needs to be uploaded. The photograph should be scanned and it should be in jpg/jpeg format, not more than 50KB.
  • Signature should be on a white paper with black ball point pen and then scan it to upload. Signature image should be in jpg/jpeg format, not more than 50KB in size.
  • Payment should be made through Demand Draft or Debit/Credit card.
  • Candidates have to take a print out of the NIFT application and save it for further use.
  • Candidates can check the status of their application and print the admit card once it is released. Admit card will not be sent through mail or post. Candidates have to take a print out of the same.

STEP 3: Check the status of your NIFT Application Form

Candidates who have successfully completed the initial steps of registration for NIFT 2017. Next, to track the status of NIFT Application Form visit the Official Website. By providing the valid email ID and password, one can then check the status for the same.

STEP 4: Download Admit Card of NIFT 2017

On the basis of information given in the NIFT Application Form, Admit Card of provisionally eligible candidates will be available for download on the website :- from February 12, 2017 (1300 hrs) onwards.

As soon as the Admit Card of NIFT 2017 is available, candidates need to download it. The candidate has to re-login to the website: A link for downloading Admit Card for written test, containing the details of the center/venue for the examination, etc., will be available. 

It is important for the candidates to take a printout of NIFT 2017 Admit Card. Entry to the examination hall of NIFT entrance exam will be prohibited without this document.

Note:The admit card for written test will NOT be sent by post or email. Candidates are advised to regularly check NIFT website to download it.

NIFT 2017 Registration for Foreign Nationals

For the candidates under the Foreign category (NRI/SAARC), they are required to follow the steps given below to register themselves for NIFT 2017:

  • Login to the NIFT Official
  • Click on the link- applyadmission. net/NIFTNRI2017.
  • They will then have to fill in the information required. 
  • Next, they are required to pay the Application Fee for finally getting registered.

Note: Candidates under this category are required to produce the original and a photocopy of their GMAT/GRE/SAT Scorecard.

NIFT Fee Structure 2017

As the NIFT Form is available for download through online mode at www.nift. or Candidates have to pay NIFT Application Fee through online mode or through Bank Demand Draft issued in favor of “NIFT HO” payable at New Delhi. Following table talks about the Fee Structure for NIFT Application Form 2017:

Mode of Payment: Credit Cards/Debit Cards and Demand Draft

Through Credit Cards /Debit Cards

Payments of application fee (Rs.1500/- or Rs.750/-) can be made through credit cards/ debit cards both. The Bank and transaction charges on the application fee will be borne by the applicant.

Through Demand Draft (DD)

Payment of application fee (Rs 1500/- in case of GEN/OBC (Non-Creamy) candidates and (Rs 750/- in case of SC/ST/PHP candidates) can be made through Bank Demand Draft. The Demand Draft should be issued in favour of “NIFT HO”, payable at New Delhi. The details of the Demand Draft are to be filled in the online application form of NIFT.

Candidates are advised to check the following details carefully before sending the Demand Draft.          

  • DD made in favour of “NIFT HO”
  • Amount of Demand Draft as applicable i.e. Rs 1500/- in case of GEN/OBC (NonCreamy) candidates and Rs.750/- in case of SC/ST/PHP candidates. Name, Date, Amount & Signature of the issuing authority on the Demand Draft. 
  • Candidates applying through Demand Draft are required to send the printout of the Application Form, duly completed in all respect, along with Demand Draft on the following address:

Note: The duly filled form should reach the above address on time. Incomplete forms or forms received late will not be accepted. The Institute does not take any responsibility for delay or loss of forms or correspondence in postal transit or by courier. Candidates are advised to keep the copy of printout and Demand Draft for future reference.

NIFT 2017 Application Form Correction

Candidates should fill the NIFT Form for registration carefully. The conducting authority of NIFT Entrance exam will not provide any correction opportunity in the NIFT application form 2017 as compared to previous years. Candidates are advised to fill the application form as per the given instructions only.

NIFT 2017 Exam Centers

NIFT Exam Centers 2017 are the centers where the pen paper based exam NIFT 2017 will be held. As per the conducting body, National Institute of Fashion Technology, the written examination will be held across 32 cities on February 12, 2017.

Exam Centers for NIFT 2017

Candidates will have to indicate the NIFT 2017 Exam Center preference while filling up the online Application form. The Exam center for the NIFT 2017 would not be modified under any circumstance.

The NIFT 2017 Exam Center is indicated on the NIFT 2017 Admit Card. Candidates have to reach the exam center at least an hour before the commencement of exam. They must carry a valid ID proof at the NIFT 2017 Exam Center.
