NIFT Application Form 2017

NIFT Application Form 2017 is available on the official website of National Institute of Fashion Technology- nift .ac.in. The whole process of Registration can be done through online mode only. The window for registration closed on January 10, 2017.

Candidates seeking admission in various fashion and design UG and PG courses offered in NIFT Institutes, participate in the exam. NIFT 2017 is scheduled on February 12, 2017. The NIFT Admit Card 2017 is now available on the official website for download.

How to fill NIFT Application Form 2017?

The eligible candidates can fill the NIFT Admission Form via online mode only. They are required to visit the official website of NIFT. The application form must be filled in English language only. Mentioned below are the steps that needs to be followed for getting registered for the exam of NIFT:

STEP 1: Candidates without a Login ID

Interested candidates who are yet to register for NIFT 2017 are required to create a Login ID. This ID is required at all the stages of NIFT. So, one should make sure to keep this safe till the entire NIFT process is concluded.

  • A login ID is to be created in order to get registered for the exam. Visit the following link- https://applyadmission.net/nift2017 and click on FRESH CANDIDATE to create a new login id.
  • A valid email id is required for this process. It is because all the information regarding entrance exam will be provided by NIFT on the provided email ID.
  • Candidates have to fill the details to register for any program of their choice and click on the SUBMIT button.
  • Candidates should carefully fill their information as after submitting they will not be allowed to change the details.
  • The confirmation for the same will be sent on to the candidates’ email id.
  • Candidates should remember their email id and date of birth for logging in to their account.

Required Documents & Information: -

Candidates should have the following documents before filling the application form :-

  • Valid Email ID.
  • Personal and educational qualification details.
  • SC/ST/OBC candidates must have their caste certificate with them.
  • Differently Abled candidates should have their disability certificate.
  • Scanned photograph in jpg/jpeg format and size should not be more than 50KB.
  • Scanned image of candidates’ signature in jpg/jpeg format and size should not exceed 50KB.
  • Candidates should have their debit/credit card details in case they want to make an online payment.

STEP 2: Candidates with a Login ID

  • Candidates who have created login id should visit this link- https://applyadmission.net/nift 2017 and after clicking on this link they have to login by choosing already logged in candidate option.
  • After logging in, 4 actions will appear- Fill Application, Upload Image, Make Payment and Print Application.

Common Instructions for candidates:

  • Personal and Educational details need to be filled carefully.
  • SAVE the details after filling the application.
  • Information can be edited by again logging in and they have to again SAVE the details which have been edited.
  • Recent passport size colored photograph needs to be uploaded. The photograph should be scanned and it should be in jpg/jpeg format, not more than 50KB.
  • Signature should be on a white paper with black ball point pen and then scan it to upload. Signature image should be in jpg/jpeg format, not more than 50KB in size.
  • Payment should be made through Demand Draft or Debit/Credit card.
  • Candidates have to take a print out of the NIFT application and save it for further use.
  • Candidates can check the status of their application and print the admit card once it is released. Admit card will not be sent through mail or post. Candidates have to take a print out of the same.

STEP 3: Check the status of your NIFT Application Form

After successfully completing the initial steps of Registration for NIFT 2017, candidates can check the form status by visiting the Official website. They are required to give their valid email ID and password and then track the status. 

STEP 4: Save and Download the NIFT Admit Card 2017

Candidates whose Application Form for NIFT 2017 is selected will be issued their Admit Card for the national level entrance exam. They need to visit the NIFT website in order to download the document. It is advised to check all the details mentioned on the Admit Card carefully. Unlike previous year, candidate will not be provided with any correction window option. Hence, make sure and review all the details before finally submitting the Application Form. 


NIFT 2017 Application Fee

After completing all the steps in the NIFT Registration Process, candidate needs to make the final payment. The Application Fee for the NIFT 2017 Form can be paid via online or offline mode. The Fee for the NIFT Form is different for all the categories.

Mode of Payment

Candidates can choose any of the mode of payment for submitting their form. Each mode has a different rules and guidelines that needs to be followed while making the payment. Given below are the details for each mode:

Through Credit Card/ Debit Card: Candidates can opt for this choice while filling the form via online mode. Here, the candidate has to borne all the bank and transaction charges.

Through Demand Draft: For those opting this mode have to make the DD in favor of ‘NIFT HO’, payable at New Delhi. This information needs to be mentioned in the online application form. Before sending in the DD certain details needs to be checked:

  • The Demand Draft has to be in favor of ‘NIFT HO’
  • The amount mentioned on the DD should be as per category as mentioned in the above table.
  • Name, Date, Amount & Signature of the issuing authority on the Demand Draft.

Candidates applying through DD are required to send the printout of the Application Form, duly completed in all respect, along with DD on the following address:
