NIFT 2017 Application Form

Registration for NIFT 2017 ended on January 10, 2017. For the candidates who miss the registration date can still fill the application form by paying a late fee of Rs. 5,000/- till January 16, 2017. 

The Application Form for NIFT 2017 is available for download and is to be filled through online mode only. Candidates have to visit the NIFT Official Website- nift.ac.in, for the registration form for NIFT 2017. The NIFT entrance exam is conducted in two stages. First, candidates have to go through a written test and then they are required to sit for NIFT situation test. NIFT exam is slated on February 12, 2017

Candidates who have predilections for fashion and design and who want to set their foot in this industry can apply for NIFT Exam. NIFT offers courses under both UG as well as PG programme. Courses offered under UG are Bachelor of Design (B.Des.) and Bachelor of Fashion Technology. Bachelor of design has its own ramifications which include, fashion design, leather design, accessory design, textile design, knitwear design and fashion communication. Courses offered under PG program are Master of Design(M.Des), Master of Fashion Management(M.F.M) and Master of Fashion Technology (M.F.Tech). To give wings to the dream of making a mark in the field of fashion and design candidates have to take the NIFT entrance exam.

NIFT 2017 Application Form

Candidates can only apply online by visiting the official website of NIFT. The application form must be filled in English.

STEP 1: For the candidates who haven’t created Login ID

  • Candidates are required to create a login id. Candidates have to visit this link- https://applyadmission.net/nift2017 and click on FRESH CANDIDATE to create a new login id.
  • Candidates must have valid email id for this process because all the information regarding entrance exam will be provided by NIFT on the email id that candidates use while creating login id.
  • Candidates have to fill the details to register for any program of their choice and click on the SUBMIT button.
  • Candidates should remember that once they have filled the information and clicked on SUBMIT button then will not be allowed to change the details. So, utmost care should be provided while filling in the details.
  • The confirmation for the same will be sent on to the candidates’ email id.
  • Candidates should remember their email id and date of birth for logging in to their account.

Required Documents: -

Candidates should have the following documents before filling the application form as it would help them from getting into a mess.

  • Valid email id.
  • Personal and educational qualification details.
  • SC/ST/OBC candidates must have their caste certificate with them.
  • Differently Abled candidates should have their disability certificate with them.
  • Scanned photograph in jpg/jpeg format and size of that should not be more than 50KB.
  • Scanned image of candidates’ signature in jpg/jpeg format and size of that also should not exceed 50KB.
  • Candidates should have their debit/credit card details in case they want to make an online payment.

STEP 2: For the candidates who have created a Login ID

  • Candidates who have created login id should visit this link- https://applyadmission.net/nift 2017 and after clicking on this link they have to login by choosing already logged in candidate option.
  • After logging in candidates will get to see 4 actions which are FILL APPLICATION, UPLOAD IMAGE, MAKE PAYMENT AND PRINT APPLICATION.

Common Instructions for all the candidates:

  • Candidates while filling application are required to fill the personal and educational details carefully.
  • Candidates are required to SAVE the details after filling the application. For this they have to click on the SAVE button to save their details.
  • Candidates can edit their information by again logging in and they have to again SAVE the details which have been edited.
  • Candidates should have recent passport size colored photograph to upload. Photograph should be scanned and it should be in jpg/jpeg format, not more than 50KB.
  • Candidates should sign on white paper with black ball point pen and then scan it to upload. Image of signature should be in jpg/jpeg format, not more than 50KB in size.
  • Payment should be made through Demand Draft or Debit/Credit card.
  • Candidates can print application and have it for further use.
  • Candidates can check the status of their application and print the admit card once it is released. Admit card will not be sent through mail or post. Candidates have to take a print out of the same.

STEP 3: Check the status of your NIFT Application Form

The candidates who have successfully completed the initial steps of getting themselves registered for the exam of NIFT. Next, to track the status of their NIFT Application Form, candidates need to visit the Official Website for the same. By providing the valid email ID and password, one can then check the status for the same.

STEP 4: Download Admit Card of NIFT

On the basis of information given in the NIFT Application Form, Admit Card of provisionally eligible candidates will be available for download from website: https://applyadmission.net/nift2017 from 23rd January 2017 (1300 hrs) onwards.

As soon as the Admit Card of NIFT is available, candidates need to download the same. The candidate have to re-login to the website: https://applyadmission.net/nift2017. A link for downloading Admit Card for written test, containing the details of the center/venue for the examination, etc., will be available. 

It is important for the candidates to take the printout of the Admit Card. Candidates will not be allowed to enter the Written Test Venue without a valid Admit Card.

NOTE: The admit card for written test will NOT be sent by post or email. Candidates are advised to regularly check NIFT website for updates.

Know About NIFT Result

NIFT 2017 Application Process for Foreign Nationals

For the candidates under Foreign category (NRI/SAARC), in order to get themselves registered, they are required to follow the steps given below.

  • Login to the IIFT Official website-www.nift.ac.in.
  • Click on the link- https://applyadmission. net/NIFTNRI2017.
  • Candidates then will have to fill in the information required. 
  • They will then have to pay the Application Fee for finally getting registered.

Note: Candidates under this category are required to produce the original and a photocopy of their GMAT/GRE/SAT Scorecard.


NIFT Fee Structure 2017

As the NIFT Form is available for download through online mode at www.nift. ac.in or https://applyadmission.net/nift2017. Candidates have to pay NIFT Application Fee through online payment or through Bank Demand Draft issued in favor of “NIFT HO” payable at New Delhi. Through Credit Cards /Debit Cards

Payments of application fee (Rs.1500/- or Rs.750/-) can be made through credit cards / debit cards both.  The Bank and transaction charges on the application fee will be borne by the applicant.

Through Demand Draft (DD)

Payment of application fee (Rs 1500/- in case of GEN/OBC (Non-Creamy) candidates and (Rs 750/- in case of SC/ST/PHP candidates) can be made through Bank Demand Draft. The Demand Draft should be issued in favour of “NIFT HO”, payable at New Delhi. The details of the Demand Draft are to be filled in the online application form of NIFT.

Candidates are advised to check the following details carefully before sending the Demand Draft.          

  • DD made in favour of “NIFT HO”
  • Amount of Demand Draft as applicable i.e. Rs 1500/- in case of GEN/OBC (NonCreamy) candidates and Rs.750/- in case of SC/ST/PHP candidates •           Name, Date, Amount & Signature of the issuing authority on the Demand Draft.  Candidates applying through Demand Draft are required to send the printout of the Application Form, duly completed in all respect, along with Demand Draft on the following address:

NIFT Application Form 2017 Correction

Candidates should fill the NIFT Form for registration carefully. The conducting authority of NIFT Entrance exam will not provide any correction opportunity in the NIFT application form 2017 as compared to previous years. Candidates are advised to fill the application form as per the given instructions only.

NIFT 2017 Exam Centers

NIFT 2017 written examination will be held across 32 cities in India on February 12, 2017. Candidates will have to indicate the NIFT 2017 Exam Center preference while filling up the online Application form. The Exam center for the NIFT 2017 would not be modified under any circumstance.

The NIFT 2017 Exam Center is indicated on the NIFT 2017 Admit Card. Candidates have to reach the exam center at least an hour before the commencement of exam. They must carry a valid ID proof at the NIFT 2017 Exam Center.
