NATIONAL LEVEL ONLINE TEST
NIFT (National Institute of Fashion Technology) has released its official notification announcing the NIFT 2017 Exam Dates. All the interested candidates can now check the details for the same on the Official Website.As per the notification, the NIFT Written Exam is scheduled to be held on February 12, 2017 for both UG and PG courses.
The NIFT Application Form is now available on the Official Website of NIFT and the last date to fill the same is on January 10, 2017. All the candidates need to crack the written exam in order qualify to enter the final step i.e. NIFT Situation Test/ Group Discussion and Interview.
Interested candidates should make sure to get themselves registered for NIFT Entrance Exam before the window closes. After successfully getting themselves registered, they will be issued NIFT Admit Card. The Admit Card for NIFT can be downloaded through online medium only and will be made available on January 21, 2017.
The NIFT Form can be filled through online mode only. The last date to fill the same is January 10, 2017. Before filling the Application form for NIFT Entrance Exam, it is important for the candidates to go through the NIFT Eligibility Criteria. We suggest all the candidates to go through the table given below. This will help them to keep track on all the important events.

NIFT Admission will be based on the candidate’s performance in the NIFT Entrance Exam and then NIFT Situation Test/GDPI. But before that the candidates need to fill the Application Form online before January 10, 2017. The form is available on the official website of National Institute of Fashion technology (NIFT).
Basically, the registration process involves 4 major steps- New candidates need to log in by providing a valid mail ID, already logged in candidates needs to provide a valid Photo and Signature, Check the status of their Application Form and then they need to download the Admit Card of NIFT. All the interested candidates can follow the steps mentioned below so as to get oneself registered for the NIFT Exam.
Step 1: New Candidate to visit the website: https://applyadmission.net/nift2017 and click: Fresh Candidate to create Log In (New Log In). Then they need to fill the details to register for any programme. You must have a valid email ID for applying online. Press the button “Submit”. Once the information filled here will not be changed. The confirmation for the registration will also be sent on your email entered
Step 2: In this step the candidates needs to fill application form. With that they are required to Upload Photo and Signature images. After uploading they are required to pay the fee and then take a print out for the same.
Step 3: After successfully completing Step 1 and Step 2, the candidates then need to track the status of their application. This can be done by visiting the NIFT Official Website.
Step 4: The candidates can then download their Admit Card of NIFT entrance exam. They should make sure to take a print out for the same.
The candidates need to provide few necessary documents during the STEP 1 given in the above chart. These documents are required to get registered successfully for the NIFT 2017 Entrance Exam. Before starting to fill up the on-line application, keep ready with you the following details / documents / Information.
The Exam Pattern for the NIFT Under graduate Programme- B.DS. and NIFT Post Graduate Programme- M.Des. follows same exam pattern. But, the exam pattern for Undergraduate programme B.F.Tech and Post Graduate Programmes- Master of Fashion Management (M.F.M) and Master of Fashion Technology (M.F.Tech.) is different.
For NIFT UG Programme (B.Ds.) and PG Programme (M.Des.)
The candidates giving the entrance exam of NIFT should have an idea about the NIFT Exam Pattern. Hence, we are here to inform you about the same. The entrance exams are scheduled on February 12, 2017 and will be a written one. The candidates for both the programmes have to give GAT (General Ability Test).
The GAT will consist of following sections:

The Mode of answering both of the written exam is English. Also, the time duration for B.Des. and M.Des. is 2 hours (120 minutes).
For NIFT UG Programme (B.F.Tech) and PG Programmes (M.F.Tech and M.F.M)
These exams will also be held on February 12, 2017 and will be a pen paper based exam. This GAT test will comprise of various sections as given below:

The candidates are supposed to have a good command over English Language. Also, this exam will be of 3 hours (180 minutes).
After clearing the NIFT Entrance Exam, the shortlisted candidates will then have to appear for the other levels. The other levels being NIFT Situation Test, Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI). The candidates from B.F.Tech are not required to go through these levels.
