STATE LEVEL OFFLINE TEST
There will not be any separate state level entrance for admissions to Architecture and Medical programmes. However, the KEAM Rank List for these programmes will be prepared as per the guidelines of CEE, Kerala. Candidates have to fill the application form for admission to these programmes through KEAM 2017.
KEAM 2017 Selection to Architecture programme will now be done on the basis of NATA Score as stated by CEE Kerala. The selection to the MBBS/BDS courses will done on the basis of NEET 2017 conducted by CBSE.
Since the KEAM Entrance for Architecture and Medical have been abolished, so the exam will be conducted on two days instead of four. The physics and chemistry exam will be scheduled on the first day and mathematics exam is conducted on the next day.
CEE Kerala decides to bring up a smarter and easier approach to submit the application forms. There will be no hard copy of the brochure available. The application form will be available online on the official website.
CEE Kerala decides to embrace online system in KEAM 2017 starting from the information brochure to application form submission. They decide to discontinue the difficult offline mode and inculcate the use of technology for submission of applications.
There will be no hard copy of the brochure, instead it will be available on the official website of CEE as an e-brochure. It can be downloaded easily from the official website. However, this decision needs approval from the State Government.
The information brochure and notification related to the same will be available by the first week of January 2017. Now, the candidates won’t be dependent on the post offices to get the application form or prospectus.
CEE Kerala, announces that there will be no separate entrance level examination for admissions to Medical and various allied courses. The allied courses include Ayurveda, Homoeopathy, Siddha, Unani, Agriculture, Veterinary, Fisheries and Forestry. Candidates who qualify NEET 2017 (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test) conducted by CBSE for MBBS/BDS courses are eligible for admissions through KEAM 2017.
The state level examination for admissions to Architecture programme has also been abolished by CEE, Kerala. The desirous candidates have to qualify NATA 2017 (National Aptitude Test for Architecture) conducted by Council of Architecture in order to seek admissions to B.Arch programme.
The preparation of KEAM Rank List and CAP (Centralized Allotment Process) for both Medical and Engineering streams will be done by the CEE, Kerala. Thus, it is mandatory for candidates applying for medical and allied courses or architecture programme have to apply separately for their respective examinations and KEAM 2017 on their respective application portals.
Candidates must keep in touch with the official website of CEE along with the CBSE website (for NEET) and NATA website (for NATA) to be updated about changes or important information related to the exam.
Since the state level entrance for Architecture and Medical has been abolished, so KEAM 2017 will be conducted for Engineering programme only. KEAM 2017 will thus now be conducted on two days instead of four.The Engineering Entrance Examination will be conducted across the 14 District Centers in Kerala and in Mumbai, New Delhi and Dubai.
CEE has decided to retain the name of the examination as KEAM and will not change the same. The official notification for KEAM 2017 will be released soon as stated by CEE. However, they have released the exam schedule on the official website which is tabulated below:
