KEAM Rank list - Last Rank & Allotment details

KEAM Rank List is declared after the announcement of the results. The examination authority CEE- Kerala will announce the KEAM Result tentatively on the last week of May, 2017. CEE- Kerala announces the KEAM Rank List for each phase of allotment for the respective courses. KEAM Allotment for the medical courses will begin from the second week of June, 2017. As for the engineering courses, the conducting body declares the KEAM Rank List tentatively on. the first week of June. The KEAM Rank List is devised on the basis of the KEAM Result and the class XII marks of the candidate in a 50:50 ratio


KEAM Rank List Criteria

The rank list will be separate from one course to that of another course.

  • Engineering
  • Architecture
  • Medical and allied courses
  • BAMS course

KEAM Medical Rank List

KEAM Medical Rank List will be prepared on the basis of marks secured by them in Paper I and II of KEAMEntrance Exam. Paper I will comprise of Physics and Chemistry. Paper II will comprise of questions from Biology.

KEAM Engineering Rank List

While preparing merit list on the basis of KEAM engineering 2016 cutoff, following parameters will be considered

  • 50% weightage will be given to the marks secured in Paper I and Paper II of KEAM Engineering 2016 Exam
  • 50% weightage will be given to the marks secured in the final qualifying exam in Physics, Mathematic and Chemistry/Computer Science/Biotechnology/Biology taken together

The standardized mark (YBG) is calculated separately for every subject i.e. Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry/Biology/Biotechnology/Computer Science. The total score shall be limited to 300. The formula can be denoted as

KEAM Rank list for B.Arch. Course

The rank list is prepared on the following factors:

  • Score obtained in NATA out of 200
  • The marks of the candidate in the qualifying examination in equal ratio.

The NATA score out of 200 is added to the total marks secured in the qualifying examination out of 200. Thus, the KEAM Rank List for B. Arch is calculated by considering the total score out of 400.

KEAM Rank list for Medical and Allied Courses

The rank list is based on the total marks obtained in Paper I (Chemistry & Physics) and Paper II (Biology) of KEAM Medical entrance.

KEAM Rank list for Ayurveda Course

The KEAM Rank list for Ayurveda course is also based on the Medical Rank List. Additionally, 10 marks is added in case of candidates having Sanskrit as their additional language.

Factors affecting KEAM Rank List

Keam Rank List is prepared on the basis of several factors which are stated below:

  • Number of candidates appeared
  • Number of seats
  • Difficulty level of KEAM
  • Previous year cutoff
  • Performances of candidates appeared

Tie Breaker in KEAM Rank List

In order to take part in KEAM Allotment the candidates have to register themselves on the online portal of KEAM. A candidate who has not registered cannot partcipate in the Centralized Allotment Process irrespective of the ranks of the candidate. KEAM follows the below-mentioned procedure to resolve tie in the KEAM Rank List.

  • In the case of a tie in the total marks computed for preparation of KEAM 2017 rank, candidate with higher marks in Mathematics in the entrance examination is placed higher in the ranking.
  • If the tie still exists, candidate with higher marks in Physics of the Physics & Chemistry Paper in KEAM 2017 is placed higher in the ranking.
  • If there is still a tie, candidate with higher standardized marks in Mathematics of the final year of the qualifying examination is placed higher in KEAM 2017 Ranking.
  • If the tie still persists, candidate with higher standardized marks in Physics of the final year of the qualifying examination is placed higher in the Ranking of KEAM 2017.
  • If there is still a tie, the age of the candidate is taken into account and the older is placed higher in KEAM 2017 Rank List.
  • To qualify in KEAM 2017 and thereby become eligible to figure in KEAM 2017 Rank List, a candidate had to score a minimum of 10 marks each in Paper I and Paper II.

KEAM Rank List Analysis

KEAM Rank List Analysis is a statistical report on the number of candidates appeared in KEAM Entrance and got qualified for admission. The students in the KEAM Rank List are considered for admission to engineering and medical courses through KEAM Allotment process. The courses are offered by Government and Self Financing institutes situated in Kerala. The KEAM Rank List is based on the KEAM Result and the class XII marks of the candidate in a 50:50 ratio. Hence it is important for the candidates to provide the mark sheets of class XII or its equivalent exam to prepare the rank lists for KEAM 2017 within the stipulated period of time.
