AP EAMCET 2017 NEWS
STATE LEVEL ONLINE TEST
Shivani Teki appeared for EAMCET in 2005. Shivani took a short term coaching for EAMCET as she did not want to devote a complete year just for the coaching. She was focused towards her intermediary education as well. Following is the questionnaire with her, sharing her experiences about her preparation process. She believes that continuity is prosperity and thus practiced for her exam every single day with her school exams.

Ans. I took EAMCET coaching from Vikas educational institution. This is the same college where I studied intermediate. In 2005 Vikas was well known and sought after institution. It provided both short term and long term EAMCET coaching. There is more benefit from long term coaching, but I did not want to put one year only for coaching for the EAMCET so I went for short term coaching. After class 12 exams, immediately classes started. Daily classes from morning 8 am to 5 pm were there. Sundays we had mock EAMCET papers to solve. Vikas helped me to prepare rigorously for nearly one and a half months before appearing for the test.

Ans. Our class 12 syllabus was over by December so we used the spare time in January for preparing for EAMCET. Shortcut methods were taught in the beginning. In February again we revised for class 12 examinations and gave chapter size mock tests. In March, immediately after the examinations, we started on with EAMCET coaching. They taught us time management techniques apart from giving coaching on problem solving. EAMCET questions are mainly based on intermediate syllabus so it is easier to relate and prepare for the entrance exam.

Ans. My strongest subject was mathematics. Chemistry was fairly manageable but I had a lot of trouble with physics. I have given a breakdown of mainly asked topics for MPC subjects here below:
Physics Syllabus: The topics from Physics, which can be asked in EAMCET examinations, will be as physics world, units and measurements, elements of vectors, dynamics and kinematics, centre of mass, frictions and collisions, elasticity, gravitation and fluid mechanics.
Chemistry Syllabus: The chemistry will cover the topics as atomic structure, classification of elements, chemical bonding, molecular structure, states of matters, periodicity in properties, solutions and electrochemistry.
Mathematics Syllabus: The main topics which will include in mathematics syllabus will be as numbers, trigonometry, algebra, probability, vector algebra, calculus, and co-ordinate geometry.
Ans. We solved all mock papers from RS Publications EAMCET papers. This book also has EAMCET previous papers. We solved previous year papers from 2001 to 2004.
Every weekend we had chapter wise mock tests which helped us improve on our weak areas.
Apart from these we had one mandatory mock EAMCET test. This was set by AP educational council itself in order to get the count of students who would appear for the main EAMCET exam.
Ans. Start preparing for EAMCET from January itself. Apart from your class 12 preparation, Concentrate on EAMCET coaching.
Memorize the formulae, atomic structure, and physics formulae. Practice theorems in mathematics.
In February before your board exams put aside one or two hours for EAMCET preparation because EAMCET rank is important to get you into a good college.
After your board exams, start with memorizing formulae.
Then find out shortcuts to problem solving.
Work out theorems in math.
Practice as much as you can."
Ans. The books I followed were course material provided by the institution, RS publications EAMCET material and NCERT text books. Plan in such a way that you can crack the paper.
Repeat and practice !! practice !! practice !!
If you have friends who are in a different coaching institute, exchange study material with them so that you both get maximum benefit of both coaching centers. Discuss with friends and help each other. Group study helps a lot. But don't do it too much or you may end up wasting time.
