COMEDK 2017 Official Notification-Check Eligibility Criteria

COMEDK UGET 2017 is held by Karnataka Unaided Private Engineering Colleges Association referred as ‘KUPECA’ comprising of more than 150 engineering colleges in Karnataka. The COMEDK UGET 2017 entrance test is held for the seat selection process followed by the central counselling process for the candidates seeking admissions in the member institutions of KUPECA.

As per the notification released by the KUPECA, the Under Graduate Entrance Examination for Engineering Courses (UGET – 2017) in various COMEDK member institutions is scheduled to be held on Sunday May 7, 2017. The COMEDK is a computer based test and will be conducted all over India for the ease of candidates. All the important updates and events related to COMEDK will be made available on the official website. Thus, a candidate is required to be in regular touch with the website for all the important updates.


Eligibility criteria for the Engineering courses

  • The candidate must have   hold of 12th / Higher Secondary or any other equivalent examination recognized by State / Central Government.
  • The candidate must have studied Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics along with English as a compulsory subject at 10+2 level.
  • The candidate belonging to the General Merit category must have obtained minimum aggregate of 45% marks in the qualifying degree. However there is a relaxation of 5% marks in case of SC, ST and OBC candidates of Karnataka State in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.
  • Candidates should have passed Physics, chemistry and Mathematics individually along with Chemistry / Bio Technology /Biology /any other optional subjects.
  • Candidate must have  attempted COMEDK Entrance Test  
  • The Diploma holders are not considered eligible for the entrance test. Also there are no lateral entry admissions/tests.

Eligibility Criteria for the Architecture courses

  • The candidate must have   hold of 12th / Higher Secondary or any other equivalent examination recognized by State / Central Government.
  • The candidate must have studied Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics along with English as a compulsory subject at 10+2 level.
  • Candidates having hold of 3 year Diploma from a recognized Central / State Government are also eligible.
  • The candidate belonging to the General Merit category must have obtained minimum aggregate of 50% marks in the qualifying degree. However there is a relaxation of 5% marks in case of SC, ST and OBC candidates of Karnataka State.
  • The candidates should have appeared for an entrance test conducted by the Council of Architecture named NATA (National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) .Candidate must have obtained a minimum score of 80 out of 200 marks for all the categories.
  • No entrance test shall be held for the candidates seeking admission to B. Arch Course.
  • Candidates applying for B. Arch course need to submit separate application form for participation in the Counselling process.
