TATA Power Recruitment through GATE 2017

TATA Power Recruitment through GATE 2017 – TATA Power has recently released a notification for the post of Graduate Engineer trainee. Candidates will be selected on the basis of GATE score, Group discussion and personal interview conducted by TATA Power. Candidates can apply for this post after GATE Result. The online application form will be available from March 2017 on official site. There is no separate application fee for applying.

A structure induction program is carried out for Graduate Engineer Trainee. Candidates will undergo a one year induction training program containing Technical/ functional/ classroom/ On the job training, projects, managerial skill development.

Students from these streams can apply:

  • Electrical Engineering
  • Mechanical Engineering
  • Electronics Engineering
  • Control and Instrumentation Engineering
  • Power Engineering

Important Dates

Candidates will be called for further selection process of TATA Power after GATE 2017 Result. They can go through following table for exam dates is given below:

GATE Eligibility for TATA Power Recruitment

The required eligibility for the post of trainee through GATE 2017 is as follow:

  • Candidate should have a valid GATE score.
  • Candidate must a B.Tech/ B.E degree in Electrical/ Mechanical/ Electronics/ Power engineering with atleast 60% of marks from a recognised university.
  • Only 2017 batch pass out can apply with no year drop.
  • Candidate must have 60% marks in 10th and 12th class also.

Age Limit

The upper age limit is 25 years for GEN/ OBC category. Reserved category will be relaxed by 3 years in age.

GATE Selection Process for TATA Power Recruitment

The selection of candidates will be based on GATE 2017 score. The shortlisted candidates will be called for Group discussion and personal interview conducted by TATA Power. The merit list will be prepared on the basis of performance in GD/ PI round. They will be for One year training induction program. After the successful completion of training period, they will be appointed as a permanent employee in the company.

Pay Scale

The selected candidates are entitled to a salary of INR- 24,900 to 50,500 at the basic pay of INR- 2490. After the training period, they will get remuneration as per company’s policy.

GATE Instructions for TATA Power Recruitment

Candidates can go through following instructions before applying for the TATA Power through GATE 2017 is given below:

  • Candidate with any backlog in B.E/ B.Tech will not be allowed for the post of Engineer trainee under TATA Power through GATE.
  • They must have active their E-mail id and phone number until the completion of application process.
  • Candidates have to submit the copy of educational/ caste certificates, GATE 2017 result at the time of selection process.
  • TATA Power reserves the right to reject any candidate at any stage of selection process.
