KIITEE 2017 Eligibility Criteria for UG and PG course

KIITEE 2017 Eligibility Criteria is different for various courses. The minimum eligibility criteria to apply for UG courses is 60 percentile marks in 12th with PCM (Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics) and for PG courses graduation degree with at least 50 percentile marks. Only eligible candidates can apply for KIITEE 2017.

KIITEE 2017 exam is scheduled on multiple dates from April 14, to April 23, 2017. The exam is held in online mode. The question paper will consist of 120 questions in English language only. All the questions will be in MCQ (Multiple Choice Questions) format. Applicants have to attempt all the questions in the duration of 3 hours. Each question carries 4 marks. 1 mark will be deducted for every incorrect answer. There is no negative marking for unanswered questions.

KIITEE (Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology Entrance Exam) is a national level exam conducted by KIIT University. The exam is conducted for admission in UG (Under Graduate) and PG (Post Graduate) courses including BBA/BCA and MCA.


KIITEE 2017 Eligibility Criteria for UG Courses

KIITEE 2017 exam will be held on multiple dates from April 14, to April 23, 2017. The eligibility criteria to apply for KIITEE 2017 exam is different for various courses. Here are the course wise eligibility for the exam. Below is the eligibility criteria for UG (Under Graduate) courses.

Eligibility for B. Tech - Candidates wish to apply for KIITEE exam must fulfill the eligibility criteria. Candidates applying for B. Tech (4 years), B. Tech & M. Tech. (Dual Degree) and (Biotechnology) Course should fulfill the following criteria to apply for KIITEE 2017.

  • Applicants must have passed 10+2 in the year of 2015 or 2017.
  • Candidates should have studied in regular full time formal education in their schooling / college.
  • Pass in 10 +2 or its equivalent with at least 60% marks in PCM (Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics) taken together.
  • Applicants want admission in B. Tech & M. Tech. (Dual Degree) (Biotechnology) also should have pass in 12th standard with minimum 60 percentile marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics/ Biology/ Biotechnology taken together.

Eligibility for B. Tech. LE (Lateral Entry) – Applicants must have 3 year diploma course in engineering with minimum 60 percentile marks from any recognized institute.

Eligibility for B.Sc. Nursing - To apply for B. SC Nursing candidates must have passed 12th with at least 45 percentile in aggregate with PCBE (Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English).

Eligibility for B.A. LL.B/ BBA LL.B/ B.Sc LL.B - 10+2 pass or equivalent in any stream with at least 45% marks.

Eligibility for BBA – Applicants must have passed 12th in any stream with minimum 50 percentile marks and having 1 of these subject in 12th class i.e. Mathematics / Business Mathematics / Economics / Statistics.

Eligibility for BCA – Applicants must have passed 12th class in any stream with minimum 50 percentile marks and having mathematics as compulsory subject in 12th standard.


KIITEE 2017 Eligibility Criteria for PG Courses

KIITEE 2017 exam will be conducted from April 14, to April 23, 2017. The eligibility criteria are different for UG and PG courses. There is the detailed eligibility for PG (Post Graduate) courses.  

Eligibility for MCA – Graduation in any stream with minimum 50 percentile marks and having mathematics either in 10+2 or graduation level as one of the subject.

Eligibility for MCA LE - Applicants who have passed or appearing in BCA, B.Sc. (IT/ Computer Science/IST/ITM) from any government approved University with minimum 50 percentile marks can apply for the KIITEE 2017.

Eligibility for M.Tech – B.E., B.Tech or equivalent Degree (e.g. AMIE, GRADE-IETE etc) in respective branches of Engineering and Technology with minimum 60 percentile marks or equivalent CGPA or 60 percentile marks in MCA / 60 percentile marks in M.Sc. in (Comp/ IT/ ETC).

Eligibility for M.Sc. (Biotechnology/Applied Microbiology) – Applicants must have Bachelor’s degree in any branch of Science/ Agriculture/ Pharmacy/ Veterinary / Engineering / Technology / Medicine (MBBS/BDS) with at least 55 percentile marks.

Eligibility for M.Sc. Nursing – Candidates must have passed B.Sc. Nursing/ B.Sc. Hons. Nursing/Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing with Minimum of 55% aggregate marks. (5 percent relaxation of marks for SC/ST candidates).

Eligibility for LLM – Applicants must have passed B.A. LLB/ BBA LLB/ B.Sc. LLB/ B.L, degree or an equivalent degree from any recognized university. They must have secured at least 55% of marks in aggregate.

Eligibility for Master of Public Health - Candidate should have a Bachelor's degree in any Health Science (MBBS/BDS/BAMS/BHMS BNYS/BPT/BSc Nursing) with minimum 50 percentile marks from any government approved university/ Institute.

KIITEE 2017 Age Criteria 

Candidates wish to apply must fulfill the eligibility criteria to apply for KIITEE 2017. The age criteria are different for various courses. The detailed age criteria to apply for the exam is mentioned below:

KIITEE 2017 Reservation Criteria

The KIIT University offers reservation for the candidates who belong to (SC/ ST/ PC) categories. The reservation criteria are different for all reserved categories. Candidates from reserved category must be aware of important guidelines for each category. During counselling, candidates claiming seats under reserved categories in KIITEE 2017, have to produce a certain set of documents in support of their claim.
