JIPMER 2017 Admit Card

JIPMER 2017 Admit Card or Hall Ticket will be made available from May 22, 2017 on the official website. The entrance exam will be conducted on June 04, 2017 and one can download the admit card till the exam date. JIPMER hall ticket can be downloaded only online by entering the registration number and date of birth. Admit Card will not be sent via post to any candidate.

The Admit Card will contain the name & date of birth of the candidate, Photo & signature, roll number, time & shift of the examination and JIPMER 2017 Exam Center allotted to the candidate. Candidates will NOT be allowed to appear for the Entrance Examination unless they have the admit card along with ID proof in original & a photocopy of the same. Candidates must keep their admit card safe since it will be required during different stages of the admission process.

JIPMER will conduct Entrance Exam for admission to 200 seats of MBBS course offered at both Campuses, JIPMER Puducherry and Karaikal. The application process for JIPMER Entrance Exam begins on March 27, 2017.


Details on JIPMER Admit Card

JIPMER 2017 Admit Card contains the details of the applicant in order to verify their identity and thus avoid any malpractice during the examination. JIPMER admit card will contain the following details:

  • Candidate’s name
  • Roll number
  • Father’s name
  • Category
  • Date of birth
  • Candidate’s signature and photograph
  • Name and address of examination center allotted to the candidate.
  • Timing of the Exam.

A candidate must check the information given on the admit card carefully and in the case of any discrepancy they must contact the concerned authorities at the earliest.

Instructions related to JIPMER 2017 Admit Card

The JIPMER Admit card is a very important document and its use is not limited to just the exam day. It is required during the whole admission process such as counselling. So, you must keep the JIPMER admit card safe. Following are some important instructions related to admit card- 

  • Candidates must not spoil or mutilate their admit card. Any mutilated, altered or invalid admit card will lead to cancellation of your candidature.
  • Candidates must not change any entry made on it. For any changes on the admit card, contact the exam authority.
  • Candidates are solely responsible to get the signature and seal of the centre Representative on their Hall ticket. Failure to do so leads to disqualification of candidature. 
  • Also, produce the admit card whenever asked at the examination center. Thus, carry multiple photocopies of the same.

How to Download JIPMER 2017 Admit Card

JIPMER 2017 admit card can be downloaded from official website only. After downloading the admit card in pdf format, you can take the print out. Follow these steps to download the JIPMER 2017 hall ticket:

  1. Go to the JIPMER Official website.
  2. Once there, click on the admit card link.
  3. Enter the registration number and date of birth
  4. After successful login, the admit card will appear on the screen.
  5. Download JIPMER Admit Card

Note: If you are unable to download the admit card, contact the exam conducting authority at the earliest.


JIPMER 2017 Exam Centres

JIPMER 2017 will conduct the entrance examination at 75 exam cities in two shifts. The list of the approved exam centers for JIPMER 2017 is given below:

  • The applicant can opt only for THREE exam centers.
  • The allotment of exam center would be on a FIRST-CUM-FIRST served basis as per the order of preference clicked by applicant during on-line application process.
  • NO request for change of exam center would be entertained under any circumstances.

So, candidates must select their JIPMER exam center very carefully during application process. Candidates should select their exam city on the basis of proximity from their city of residence.


JIPMER 2017 Exam Day Instructions

On the day of the exam, candidates have to follow certain instructions. Any candidate who fails to abide by the rules can be disqualified from the exam. The instructions to be followed by the students are given below:

  • For Morning Shift, candidates should report at the exam venue by 08.00 AM. Entry closes at 09:15 AM. Entry will NOT be allowed beyond 09:15 AM under any circumstance. Exam starts at 10:00 AM and candidates will NOT be permitted to leave the exam hall before 12:30 PM.
  • For Afternoon Shift, candidates should report at the exam center by 01.00 PM. Entry closes at 02:15 PM and candidates will NOT be permitted beyond that under any circumstance. Exam starts at 03:00 PM and candidates will NOT be permitted to leave the exam hall before 05:30 PM.
  • Candidates should carry ONLY JIPMER Admit Card along with Valid Identity proof and photocopies of the same ID proof inside the hall. Valid ID Proof should be any of the Aadhar/ E-Aadhar with validated digital signature / Passport, other than mentioned above will NOT be permitted.
  • Biometric authentication through digital device and hard copy of signature and fingerprint in attendance sheet will be taken. The candidates are required to put their finger impressions in the space provided on the Attendance Sheet.
  • Candidates are not allowed to carry any material except the admit card and ID proof inside the exam hall. Water bottles, tea, coffee, cold drinks or snacks, etc. are not allowed to be taken by the candidates inside the JIPMER 2017 examination centre.
  • Candidates are not allowed to bring any barred item or any item which could be used in unfair means. Cellular phones, calculators, watch, alarm clocks, digital watches with built-in-calculators / memory, earphones and other electronic gadgets etc. will not be permitted.
  • Candidates are advised to check the seating plan and identify the room / lab allotted as per their Hall Ticket number, which will be displayed outside the halls.
  • The test starts exactly at the time mentioned in the Hall Ticket and an announcement to this effect will be made by the invigilator. For those who are unable to appear on the scheduled date of examination for any reason, reexamination shall NOT be held by the JIPMER under any circumstances.
  • No candidate will be allowed to leave his/her seat or the examination hall until the conclusion of the test as per schedule. Candidates must not leave the examination hall without submitting their answer sheet to the invigilator.

The candidates must sign twice on the attendance sheet at the appropriate place, first immediately after the commencement of examination and second while handing over the answer sheet to the invigilator.


Unfair Means in JIPMER Exam

If during the course of examination, any candidate is found indulging in any of the following unfair means at the examination, his/her result shall not be declared and shall be marked as UNFAIR MEANS (U.F.M.) and the candidate is debarred from taking this examination permanently in the future-

  • Having possession of papers, books, notes, electronic devices or any other material or information relevant to the examination of the paper 
  • Giving or receiving assistance of any kind directly or indirectly or attempting to do so is an unfair mean
  • Contacting or communicating or trying to do so with any person, other than the Examination Staff, during the examination time
  • Threatening any of the exam centre officials connected with the conduct of the examinations or threatening any of the candidates
  • Using or attempting to use any other undesirable method or means in connection with the examination. 
  • Cheating or copying from others or any means in the exam.

In case any candidate is found in possession of any of the barred items as listed above or being involved in any of these activities inside the exam centre, it will be considered as use of unfair means and appropriate action will be taken against the candidate.
